The world’s first airport named after Pokémon, Noto Satoyama Pokémon with You Airport, opens for a limited time on the Noto Peninsula!
The Noto Satoyama Pokémon with You Airport will open on July 7th, 2026! Noto Satoyama Airport, a hub for tourism in Noto and the region’s gateway to the skies, will reopen as the world’s first airport bearing the Pokémon name: Noto Satoyama Pokémon with You Airport.
The airport is scheduled to open on Tuesday, July 7th, 2026, and will remain open until Sunday, September 30th, 2029. The airport’s original logo features a bright and vibrant design, embodying the desire to bring energy and joy to everyone.
Inspired by Poké Balls and Pikachu, the logo incorporates the geography of the Noto Peninsula along with the smiling faces of local residents and travelers.
2nd Floor Atrium
The 2nd floor atrium, a distinctive feature of the airport, is adorned with a large, iconic Pikachu and a balloon shaped like an airplane, surrounded by countless Pokémon that appear to be joyfully soaring through the sky.
Starting with this atrium, all 111 Flying-type Pokémon discovered as of May 2026 are featured in decorations throughout the airport grounds. Be sure to look for them.
*Excludes Mega Evolutions, Regional Forms, etc.
1st Floor Arrivals Lobby
The 1st floor arrivals lobby features a large decorative design with "A Bright Future", a piece of art created in 2024 to support the reconstruction of Noto. The scenery, reminiscent of Noto’s rich natural environment, warmly welcomes visiting travelers.
Pikachu, Plusle, and Minun, depicted at the center of the artwork, now await guests as three-dimensional statues.
Exterior
The logo is also featured as a decorative element at the top of the airport’s exterior. A line of Pokémon adorn the pillars at the airport entrance, creating a sense of excitement as your journey begins.
In addition, you can enjoy Pokémon-themed decorations in various locations, such as the airport entrances and exits, as well as the boarding bridges connecting the airport to the aircraft.
On the second-floor walls, you’ll find decorations depicting the daily lives of Pokémon as they might unfold at airports around the world. If you look closely, you’ll notice that some of the directional signs throughout the airport have been given a Pokémon makeover. We hope you’ll enjoy discovering where these signs are located and what they look like.
Fun Activities at the Airport
The airport also offers a variety of other fun activities.
Observation Deck: Pikachu's Satoyama
The observation deck inside the airport is home to countless Pikachus! The Pikachus truly bring to life the "satoyama", (a traditional Japanese undeveloped woodland rural landscape), which is referenced in the airport's name. If you look closely, you'll notice that a few other Pokémon have come to play among the Pikachus. Can you spot them all?
3 Short Videos: Airport Side Story
Tatsubay, who longs for the sky, spends all its time training, dreaming of the day it’d be able to fly. Before long, the people at the airport start cheering him on. Will Tatsubay’s dream come true?
Inside the airport, you can use your smartphone to enjoy three original short videos. One of them, "Fly, Tatsubay!", tells the story of Tatsubay, who longs for the sky. There is a display of Tatsubay looking up at Bohmander inside the airport, which is linked to the video.
The other two videos are also original stories designed to make your trip to the airport and the Noto Peninsula a little more fun.
Airport Original Artwork: Sky of Hope
This artwork, titled Sky of Hope, is an original piece of art created to commemorate the airport’s opening. Featuring numerous Pokémon flying through the sky, along with dazzling lights and a sparkling rainbow, it expresses a longing for the sky, the joy of flying freely, and the "hope" of embarking on a new journey. It is scheduled to be used in various decorations throughout the airport, on original merchandise sold at the shops, and on wrapped buses.
Airport Restaurant: Original Pokémon Menu
At Restaurant Annon on the 3rd floor of the airport, you can enjoy an original Pokémon menu (planned to include two types of pancakes and two types of drinks). In addition to T-shirts and keychains, if you order a set of pancakes and a drink, it will be served on an original placemat.
Original Merchandise at Airport Shop
At the Serendipity shop on the 2nd floor of the airport, we plan to release original merchandise featuring the airport logo and the original artwork Sky of Hope.
In addition to T-shirts and keychains, the lineup includes airport-exclusive items such as luggage tags and suitcase belts. Please be sure to pick some up as souvenirs from your trip.
* Please note that quantities are limited.
* To ensure as many customers as possible can purchase these items, we may limit the number of items per customer. Please check with the store for details.
