On November 8th, 2023, the official Japanese AniPoke Twitter account posted a tweet with the trailer for PM2023 episode 29 instead of episode 28. The tweet was taken down and an apology note with the correct trailer was posted.

On November 17th, 2023, the official Japanese AniPoke Twitter account reminded that this episode was available to watch on the official Japanese YouTube channel. The video was region locked to Japan only. It was available from November 17th, 2023 to November 24th, 2023. This episode was specifically labeled as a missed-program webcast (見逃し配信).

The episode was also available on the TV Tokyo YouTube channel and the Official Corocoro Channel and were labeled as limited-time delivery (期間限定配信). The TV Tokyo version included the series trailer at the end of the episode where as the Corocoro version had beginning and ending bumpers promoting Corocoro.

Anipoke is just around the corner! Monster ball romance!! A mysterious monster ball craftsman appears!


Broadcasting every week from 6:55 pm! The anime "Pocket Monsters" will start airing soon! In this article, we'll introduce you to the Pokémon and characters that will appear in today's episode, as well as comments from the voice actors and director, and other information you won't find anywhere else!

Liko and her friends decide to go see someone who is interested in rare balls that Tepen, who tried to steal Roy's ancient monster ball last time, had mentioned. Relying on Tepen's information, they arrive at the Monster Ball factory in the Galar region! ...Then suddenly, something jumped out from inside the factory!!?


▲ They arrived at a mysterious factory deep in the mountains. Where is the person that was mentioned by Tepen who will buy any rare ball at any price ......?


▲ Orio seems interested in the equipment at the Monster Ball Factory.


▲ Suddenly, the factory doors open with the sound of an explosion, and a suspicious shadowy figure jumps out of the factory......!!


▲ Yes! (It's a little hard to see with all the smoke.) This is the person who runs this ball factory, Karna, a monster ball maker!

Karna, a monster ball craftsman who runs a ball factory, is said to be making balls filled with her "specialties" at this factory! The factory is filled with prototypes of balls made by Karna! Roy's eyes lit up at the sight of these balls, many of which he had never seen anywhere before, and he asked Karna to let him try the prototype balls!

Bill Rogers announced on August 29th, 2024 that he was the voice of Galarian Weezing.

I realized that while I confirmed with some Poké groups, I never officially announced that I voice Galarian Weezing. And boy, does he get a great intro! Watch a fleet of these stodgy lil guys cause a ruckus in ep 29 of Pokémon Horizons "Orla and the Poké Ball Smith" on Netflix

The original airing on BBC iPlayer on May 27th, 2024 had lower case "Poké Ball" in the title during the title card sequence. The airing on Netflix on August 9th, 2024 corrected this and changed the title to have completely upper case letters.

The official Japanese Anime PR Twitter account posted a behind-the-scenes look at the making of this Anipoke episode with a production artwork piece on November 16th, 2023. The picture featured Nyahoja and Terapagos.
