After airing screenings of the sixteenth Pokémon movie, Gensect and the Legend Awakened in selected cinemas last weekend, Hoyts has announced that seven cinemas will be showing encore screenings this weekend. The following cinemas will be showing additional screenings of the movie on Saturday 23 November and Sunday 24 November:

Episode 136 of Pokémon Smash, Stray Pokémon Hitokage / A Special Report on 'Pokémon X & Y', Where Masuda Announces Surprising News! / A Collaboration Project with the Pokémon Center, Which will Soon Celebrate its 15th Anniversary, Comes to Fruition!? / The Latest Movie News! ( はぐれポケモン・ヒトカゲ / 「ポケモンXY」大特集、増田さんが驚きの最新情報を発表！ / 15周年を迎えるポケセンとのコラボ企画が実現！？ / 映画最新情報！) aired this sunday.

The episode started with the hosts greeting everyone with a PokéMorning, before Golgo introduced the "You Choose! The Pokémon Anime Requests" segment.

Shoko-tan mentioned how they show has received a lot of mail for this segment asking for a Hitokage episode, and shows off several of these, before presenting today's chosen request, a letter from 7 year old Masashi Tanaka from Chiba, who says he wants to see the episode where Satoshi first met Hitokage. This happened in Pocket Monsters episode 11, Stray Pokémon Hitokage (はぐれポケモン・ヒトカゲ), and Shoko-tan explained that this was a really popuar episode that she liked a lot as well. A summary of the episode can be found in our episode guide. Professor Red then cut to the episode with "Ok! PokéReq GO!"

As we returned from the rerun episode, the International Division joined the other hosts, before Professor Akido suddenly walked onto the set, telling them that he had been living inside a hole on the roof of the set for a while now, heard the hosts coming, and thought this would make a good opportunity to explain the core concepts of the Pocket Monsters games to everyone.

Pokémon X/Y Special

Before that, though, the narrator explained that this episode was a Pokémon X/Y special, where we would be shown the newest info on the X/Y games, which are being released worldwide this October, and Shoko-tan introduced the person who would give us this info: the God of Pokémon games, Masuda from Game Freak. With that, Masuda walked onto the set, greeted everyone, and showed off a set of covered posters.


Golgo asked how far along the games were at the moment, and Masuda said the packaging has just recently been finalized, pulling the cover from the first poster, revealing pictures of their designs, which showed off the new legendary Pokémon: Xerneas, which can be encountered in Pocket Monsters X, and Yveltal, which can be encountered in Pocket Monsters Y.


Masuda then prepared to pull off the next cover to reveal more information, but Akido stopped him, saying they should go over the basics of Pokémon in detail once more before proceeding. He then asked Yamamoto and Baba to come with him, which they weren't all too happy about, as they usually end up getting hurt during Akido's experiments.

Akido took the two to his lab, where he explained that a lot of kids are going to play X and Y as their first Pokémon games, and that they should explain the history of the franchise to them. The narrator then gave a quick overview of the series, showing off all the main titles, starting with Red and Green's 1996 release, where he explained how the concept of trading monsters wth friends via link cable created an entirely new and innovative game experience. Professor Akido then launched his breakdown of the series' key points.

The first key point is how the games have you start your journey as a Pokémon Trainer by selecting one of three starter Pokémon as your partner. He then demonstrated this by having Baba, dressed up as a Youngster, choose between the three starter Pokémon from Black and White: The Grass Type Tsutarja, the Fire Type Pokabu, and the Water Type Mijumaru, here portrayed by Yamamoto in a costume. Youngster Baba doesn't think Mijumaru looks all that cute from the hat and down, but still ends up choosing it, as Akido explains that one can choose Pokémon based on either type or looks - it's all up to you. The narrator then showed a clip presenting the three starter Pokémon from X and Y, the Grass Type Harimaron, the Fire Type Fokko, and the Water Type Keromatsu, asking the viewers which of the three they want to start with.

The next key point is, of course, how Trainers catch new Pokémon on their journey and add them to their teams, with the narrator explaining that one of the goals of the game is to catch all the Pokémon and register them in your Zukan. Yamamoto, dressed as the Worker Trainer class, joined Professor Akido, as they went to the world of Pokémon Diamond & Pearl, where they searched around in a thicket, the narrator explaining how this is the most common way to find Pokémon. Suddenly, a wild Pachirisu, or at least a man in a Pachirisu costume, jumped out at them, and Worker Yamamoto started the battle by sending out a Naetle, portrayed by Baba in a costume.

The narrator explained that wild Pokémon need to be weakened with attacks before they can be caught, and Worker Yamamoto decided to have Naetle Baba start off with a Tackle attack, but the Pachirisu attacked him first with Quick Attack, a move that always hits before the opponent. Naetle Baba then hit back with a Tackle, and Yamamoto decided to try a monster ball, the item used for catching Pokémon. Since Pachirisu was so big, Akido gave him a specially-made giant monster ball, which Yamamoto pointed out was just a bead cushion. Still, he threw it at the Pachirisu, and it went into the ball, though popped back out shortly after, the narrator explaining that the more you weaken a Pokémon, the easier it is to catch.

Naetle Baba continued the battle by using Razor Leaf, portrayed by him tossing salad at the Pachirisu man, followed by putting a leaf-motif bucket on his head and knocking on it. Yamamoto pointed out that that wasn't a leaf, but Baba said it still seemed to do damage, so Yamamoto tried throwing another monster ball. Once again, Pachirisu went inside the ball, and it started to shake, the narrator explaining how you have to wait until the ball stops shaking before the Pokémon is caught. And unfortunately, the Pachirisu broke out before the ball shaked for the last time, attacking Baba as the narrator explained that no matter how much a Pokémon is weakened, it's never guaranteed you'll catch it, which adds to the suspense.

Yamamoto threw a third monster ball, and the Pachirisu stayed in this time, with the narrator explaining how you'll keep catching Pokémon on your journey, using your assembled team to win gym badges, and work to fill the Pokémon Zukan.


With that, Akido, Yamamoto and Baba returned to the set, as Masuda prepared the next announcement; the revelation of the adventure's protagonists. He pulled off the cover on the next poster, and showed off the designs of the playable boy and girl characters, with the hosts pointing out how stylish and cool they looked, with Neese doing a little dance to introduce himself to them at Akido's request. We're then introduced to an entirely new feature: the ability to alter your character's appearance, choosing between three combinations of skin and hair color.


Next, Masuda says he has some really noteworthy info to reveal; the setting of the new adventure. He pulls off the cover from a third poster, revealing a map of the new region, the Kalos Region, and Shoko-tan points out a snow-covered area and a castle as particularly interesting places. We're then shown a closer look at the city in the center of the region, Miare City, as Masuda pulls off the cover from another poster showing a picture of it, the hosts calling attention to a tower in the background and what looks like an open cafe.

Masuda then says he'll show us a video clip from Kalos and Miare. The clip has ever before been shown on TV, and shows the protagonists running through the city, giving us detailed views of them up close. One of the scenes shows the girl running diagonally, which really surprises everyone, Baba saying he's always wanted to run diagonally in a Pokémon game.


Finally, Shoko-tan asks Masuda to reveal the biggest news of all, and he pulls the cover off the last poster, revealing some all-new Pokémon:
First is the Generation Pokémon Erikiter (エリキテル), an Electric/Normal type, a type combination never before seen, with height 0.5 m and weight 6.0 kg. Shoko-tan says looks like it can evolve, and Golgo asks what it sounds like, and Masuda tells him he'll have to wait and see when the game comes out.
Next, the Japanese Robin Pokémon Yayakoma (ヤヤコマ), a Normal/Flying type, 0.3 m tall and weighing 1.7 kg. Shoko-tan is captivated by how cute it is, but the narrator says it's likely to be really fierce in battle.
Next up is the Mischievous Pokémon Yancham (ヤンチャム), a Fighting type, 0,6 m tall and weighing 8.0 kg. Shoko-tan is once again beside herself with how cute it is and asks Masuda to stop already, then asks if it evolves, Yamamoto saying it looks like it'll get really strong upon evolution.
The final new Pokémon is the Ride Pokémon Gogoat (ゴーゴート), a Grass type, 1.7 m tall and weighing 91.0 kg. The hosts wonder what is meant by "Ride Pokémon", Maru asking if it means you can ride it, prompting Masuda to show a new video clip. The clip starts off by showing Gogoat battling a Yancham, and we see that it can use the Grass type move Horn Leech. Next, we're shown the boy protagonist riding a Gogoat through Miare City, proving that Maru was right, you can indeed ride Gogoat.


The narrator says there are still many more exciting clips to show, but Masuda says they've unfortunately ran out of time. Everyone yells at Akido for wasting so much time with his segment, and he says he'll make amends: Every week from now on, he'll promise to present new information on Pokémon X/Y, such as new Pokémon, which he'll get straight from Masuda. With that, Masuda bids his farewell, and everyone thanks him for the info he presented.

The Pokémon Center's 15th Anniversary Events

This year, the Pokémon Center stores are celebrating their 15th anniversary, and there will be lots of fun tie-in event, such as a new exclusive Nintendo 3DS LL design, battle guides booklets, and event Pokémon giveaways. Pokémon Smash will be doing a tie-in event as well: Recruiting new "special employees" of Pokémon Enterprise.

In other words, you can go to a Pokémon Center and receive a specially-made business card with your name on it, making you a special employee of P.e. Baba and Yamamoto then show what happened when they presented this event to the Pokémon Center, showing a clip of them decked out in full suits, entering the Pokémon Center Tokyo, where they talked to staff member Aoike (青池), who's busy hanging up posters advertising various 15th Anniversary tie-in events.

They hand her their business cards, and we're shown that the Pokémon Enterprise members have each made their own personal business cards, with their motto written on the back in their own handwriting (Shoko-tan's says "Youth is finite, always be greedy", which Yamamoto points out is a kinda mean thing to say). He then shows off the empty business cards the kids can fill out, and we're explained that you also get a copy of one of the Pokémon Enterprise members' business cards alongside it.

Aoike says she thinks this is a great event, but says someone else just presented a different event. She takes Baba and Yamamoto to see their rival, which turns out to be Eievui Akiyama, currently having a staff member set up a poster in the store for him! The poster shows all of the Eievui Akiyama Friends, and he explains that this is a popularity poll, and that people can vote for their favorite of the Friends by putting a sticker under that Friend's name on a separate poster nearby.

Baba and Yamamoto point out that Nymphia Nakagawa isn't an option, and Eievui Akiyama says that if he had put her on there, she'd just have won way too easily. This would be the time to decide which of the two proposed events the Pokémon Center will run, but Aoike surprises everyone by saying they'll run both of them at the same time, thus pleasing everybody. We're then given full details on the events: By voting in the Eievui Akiyama Friends popularity poll, held in all Pokémon Centers, you will be given a set of 5 business cards - 3 empty ones to be filled out, and 2 Pokémon Enterprise member cards.

Genesect Promo Events

The narrator reminds us that the special preorder ticket that allows one to download a special level 100 Mewtwo is currently on sale, before Shoko-tan and the Genesect Army reveal the second event Pokémon for the movie, the one that can be downloaded via local wireless in the theater before the movie starts. This year, it's an alternate-colored Genesect: the Red Genesect from the movie!

The Genesect can be downloaded to both Pocket Monster Black and White and Pocket Monsters Black 2 and White 2. It is level 100, and knows the moves Extremespeed, Techno Blast, Blaze Kick and Shift Gear. Apart from Techno Blast, Genesect can't normally learn any of these moves, which are all powerful, speedy attacks. It also has the Hasty nature, which boosts its speed, and arrives holding the Choice Scarf item, which increases its speed even further. Truly an Extremespeed Genesect.

There's more, too: You won't just get a Genesect for your video game in the theater, you'll also get a special Red Genesect Pokémon Tretta (limited to 3 million copies on a first-come-first-serve basis). The Tretta has 83 Poké-Ene, is Bug type, and uses the Bug-type move X-Scissor.


And that's still not all, as Red says he and the Genesect Army have another present to give away as well: The second set of Pokémon Scramble U NFC Figures (featuring Eievui, Mewtwo, Gureggru, Zoroark, Hitomoshi and Genesect) will be released May 25th, and in commemoration of that, a set of special Genesect Army NFC Figures have been made. They're a set of 5: the Red Genesect and 4 normal Genesect each with a different cassette slotted into the gun on their back. The set will be given away to 100 Pokémon Smash viewers who write in for the lottery. The deadline is May 29th.


As the show ended, the Genesect Army reminded everyone to submit their photos in order to join the Army. They then announced details on the presents that would be given out after they reach 1000 members: Once they hit the 1000 mark, 3 members will be given a Nintendo 3DSLL Eievui Edition, and 5 will be given a Download Card for Pokémon Scramble U, all 8 winners chosen via lottery.

Episode 135 of Pokémon Smash, Fighting Pokémon! The Big Battle! / The 'PokéSma Genesect Army' is Hard at Work Today as Well, Aiming for 1 Million Members! / Nymphia Nakagawa Appears!? / EbiChu Takes the Stage for the Pokémon Battle! (かくとうポケモン！ だいバトル！ / 軍団員100万人を目指す「ポケスマゲノセクト軍団」が今回も大活躍！ / ニンフィア中川登場！？ / ポケモンバトルにエビ中が登場！) aired yesterday.

As usual, the episode started the hosts greeting the viewers with a 'Pokémorning!', before Golgo introduced the "You Choose! The Pokémon Anime Requests" segment. Yamamoto had chosen today's request, which came from 6 year old Tomoaki Ajiki (安食 智朗) from Osaka. He had drawn a picture of Ebiwalar, which he thought looked really strong and cool because it was a boxer. Since he was boxing as well, he really wanted to see Ebiwalar's boxing match, and thus requested Pocket Monsters episode 29, Fighting Pokémon! The Big Battle! ( かくとうポケモン！だいバトル！). A summary of that can be found in our episode guide. Professor Red cut to the episode with "Ok! PokéReq GO!"


As we return from the rerun episode, it seems Professor Red and the International Division have disappeared. Red quickly announces his arrival, though, and what appears to be the Genesect Army in their Hi-Speed Morphs fly in in front of the camera. Golgo tells them to come forward already, and it's revealed that what we saw flying in front of the camera were papier-mache models held up by fishing rods.

The Genesect Army introduce themselves, and Golgo asks what they're going here, and how many members they've recruited thus far, since their goal was 1 million. Red explains that they've been having a bit of trouble, and that they've only managed to get 8 additional members thus far, but that they'll make sure to get at least 1000 total members before the day is up. As they set out to recruit more members, Golgo says he'll go with them this time, and joins them on their quest.

PokéSma Genesect Army: Dispatch!

Red explains that today's plan is to recruit various organizations in their entirety. As they walk through the city, Niccolo spots a soccer team heading for practice, and the Army decides to follow them to their practice hall. The team they followed is the kindergartener soccer team FC Ooizumi Gakuen (FC大泉学園), which has 28 players in total. Red explains to the coach that they want all the kids to join the Genesect Army in order to hype the upcoming movie. The coach says it'll get in the way of their training, so Niccolo suggests a 3-on-3 penalty kick contest; if the Army wins, the kids will all join.


The contest uses two goals lined up next to each other, with one point being awarded for each goal. The players from the Genesect Army also get to shoot from half the distance the soccer players do. Still, the soccer players manage to score on their two first attempts, while the Genesect Army players miss on both their first. Despite the Army losing, Golgo still manages to convince the coach to let the players join, and as such, the Genesect Army add another 28 members to their ranks.

The Eievui Akiyama Friends

Yamamoto and Baba once again visit the Eievui Akiyama House with questions from the viewers. They call on Eievui Akiyama, and give him the question of the day, sent by Tomoki Hayashi from Tokyo: "Does Nymphia live at the Eievui Akiyama House?" Just then, a fancy socialite walks up, eventually introducing herself as Nymphia Nakagawa. She hands them her overly flashy business car, as Eievui Akiyama explains that she's a proper lady. Baba asks her where she's moved here from, and she says she comes from Philadelphia. He then asks why she's at the Eievui Akiyama House when her name is Nakagawa, and Eievui Akiyama explains that she's just a friend of the house, and Yamamoto and Baba point out that adding Nymphia Nakagawa to the Eievui Akiyama House is going to help a lot in hyping the upcoming movie short.


Baba then finally asks the question that's been on everyone's mind, and that has been sent to the show so many times since Nymphia got revealed;

From Satomi of Hokkaido: "What type is Nymphia Nakagawa?"

She doesn't seem all that willing to answer, so Baba suggests they do some tests in order to figure it out. Yamamoto points out that out of the 17 possible Pokémon types, Nymphia Nakagawa isn't going to be any of those a previous Eievui evolution has, which deconfirms the Normal, Water, Electric, Fire, Psychic, Dark, Grass and Ice types right off the bat. First, they decide to let her show off some of her skills, to see if they can give a hint towards the type. Nymphia Nakagawa pulls out a pair of nunchaku from her bag and demonstrate some tricks with those, making Yamamoto guess that this means she's a Fighting type. Baba suggests having her fight a martial artist to make sure, and a martial artist wielding an empty oil drum walks in. He instantly defeats her, and Yamamoto concludes that she's probably not a Fighting type after all.


Next, Nymphia Nakagawa demonstrates her skill in breaking ice, an ability she seems to have confidence in despite appearing quite weak earlier. And sure enough, she manages to break a plate of ice with a single chop. Baba says that if she's strong against ice, that means she might be a Steel type, and Yamamoto says that would mean the Poison type would have no effect on her. As such, they run a test to see if she's immune against poison, putting her face into a box, and then injecting the smell from a piece of kusaya into it. She immediately starts choking and gagging from the smell, making it seem more like it's super effective. It appears it'll be hard to determine the type by running this type of tests.


As Baba and Yamamoto try to think of what to do next, Nymphia Nakagawa gets a phone call, and says she'll have to go, she just got invited to a party for the movie voice actors. Baba and Yamamoto ask if they can come as well, since they're trying to hype the movie, and both they and Eievui Akiyama go along with her.

In the meantime, Golgo and the Genesect Army have arrived at a practice of the mothers' choir group Chor Dolce (コール・ドルチェ), which numbers a total of 15 members. They greet the group with a "Pokémorning", but receive no reply, Golgo pointing out that they probably don't know the term. It turns out the choir isn't particularly familiar with Pokémon in the first place, but after Golgo and Red explain that they're trying to hype the upcoming movie, and want them to join the Genesect Army, they go along with it, saying it doesn't look like they have any other choice. The choir does a quick performance of the army's "Gene~" call, and the army has added another 15 members.


Eievui Akiyama, Yamamoto and Baba have followed Nymphia Nakagawa to her party, where they meet Takashi Yoshimura and Kenta Tokui from the comedy duo Heisei Nobushi Kobushi. Yamamoto asks where the voice actors are, and Nymphia Nakagawa points out that it's those two, and Yoshimura explains that they are going to do guest roles in the upcoming movie.

Yoshimura says he'll be playing the role of Eric, a Pokémon Hills guide, and that he'll have a good amount of lines were he guides Satoshi and friends through the area, and that this is an important role. They ask him to perform one of his lines, and he makes an attempt at reciting the line he has in the trailer, saying "この街が危ない!" ("This town is in danger!"). We're shown a clip from the trailer that shows the line was actually (このままでは街が危ない！) "At this rate, the town will be in danger!", but it's still impressive for an improptu recital. He then recites some lines that weren't in the trailer, "My name is Eric! I work at Pokémon Hills!", as well as the grunting Eric makes while running. Next up is Tokui, who says that while Yoshimura is playing a human, he's been cast as a Ishitsubute. While they haven't done any dubbing work on the movie itself yet, Tokui has practiced for the role, and does a quick impression of how he plans on playing it. The segment then ends with the two saying to make sure to watch the movie.


Meanwhile, the Genesect Army have found a grade school full of enthusiastic children. They're from the Takasago Grade School (高砂小学校) in Sota, Saitama, and the assembled children number a total of 159. They all join the Army right away, and Red says he has a mission for them - to make a "Genesect expression" with their bodies. Red has them line up in a specific formation on the school grounds, before he and Golgo head to the school roof, where we see they've been lined up to form the word "Gene~!" (ゲノー!) And with that, the Genesect Army only needs another 999790 members to reach their goal! They're getting there.


The Genesect Army return to Pokémon Enterprise with the result of today's recruiting. Red points out that while they have 210 members now, it'll take a while to assemble 1 million at the pace they're currently going at, so Baba gives him a good idea; Enlist the help of the television viewers. Yamamoto announces that viewers can go to the official movie website and submit photos featuring Genesect, and that by doing this they'll join the Army. Shoko-tan then adds in that there will be a special gift available once they reach 1000 members. The announcer then goes over the rules, explaining that the photos can be both of yourself in a Genesect costume, Genesect merchandise, or anything else portraying Genesect in some way, and that photos can also be submitted by mail.

Pokémon battle

Shoko-tan announces that today, they have some special guests related to the movie: Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku, the singers of Let's Hold Hands, the ending theme to Pocket Monsters Best Wishes Season 2 Decolora Adventure. Hinata Kashiwagi (柏木 ひなた) and Rina Matsuno (松野 莉奈) walk onto the set and introduce themselves. Yamamoto points out that EbiChu has 9 members total, and aks where the rest are, and Rina answers by holding up finger dolls of the remaining members. Golgo says that Shoko-tan mentioned that they were related to the movie, and asks in what way, and the two member of the group announce that "Let's Hold Hands" will also be used as the ending theme for the movie short Pikachu and its Eievui Friends. Shoko-tan then brings in the current movie poster, and points to the listed credits for the short's ending theme. Golgo asks them to perform the song, but Rina tells him that'll have to wait until all 9 of them are gathered. Hinata says she wants to have a Pokémon battle, and that since they're in the Eievui-themed short, she wants a battle where only Eievui ad its evolutions can be used.


Maru goes up against Hinata, while "Nice Yamamoto" (ni-ni-ni-nice!) and Red provide the commentary. The battle ends up quite even, but Hinata manages to secure the win in the end, turning Maru's slight lead around (ni-ni-ni-ni-ni-nice!). After congratulating her, Golgo tells them to bring the entire group next time, so they can perform their song.

The Marketing Division's Pokémon Movie News

Shoko-tan ends the episode by announcing that they have yet another guest related to the movie on the set... and Leafia Akiyama walks in. As he offers Golgo grass rice cakes and Red a home-made sticker, Golgo asks him what he has to tell them about the movie.


He explains that it's about the previously mentioned event that will be held across the country, the "Exciting Pokémon Carnival" (ポケモンわくわくカーニバル), which allows people to experience the world of the movie and its accompanying short. These events will feature various attractions sporting designs featuring Eievui and its various evolutions, including the new Pokémon Nymphia, and visitors will also get the chance to receve a special sun vizor, as well as participate in a "Pikachu and its Eievui Friends Rally".

New Poster

Like earlier years, Nagoya Railroad (Meitetsu) will be holding a tie-in campaign related to the upcoming Pokémon movie, starting Saturday March 23rd.



The popular 'Pokémon Stamp Rally Along the Meitetsu 2013 Spring', where children can gather stamps from various stations along the line to qualify for prizes, will run from Saturday March 23rd all the way up through Golden Week, ending on Monday May 6th.



Two separate contests will be held.
Those who have gathered at least two of the 7 different stamps are eligible for the 'Extremespeed Award', where 100 winners will be given sets of Pokémon Center merchandise; 20 winners will receive a 'Pikachu Set', while 80 winners will receive a 'Pokémon Center Nagoya Set'.
Those having gathered all 7 stamps will be eligible for the 'Spring Master Award', where 10 winners will receive a Kyurem VS the Sacred Swordsman Keldeo DVD, and 2 winners will receive the grand prize: Giving the departure signal for the train during a special event to be held Sunday July 14th.

Additionally, "The Extremespeed Genesect" (神速のゲノセクト号), a train sporting a design featuring Pokémon from the upcoming movie, will be running throughout the campaign period. A departure ceremony will be held at the Central Japan International Airport Station Sunday March 24th.

McDonalds Happy Set Campaign

McDonalds will also be hosting a movie tie-in campaign next week.
Those buying a Happy Set Saturday March 30th or Sunday March 31st will be given a promotional Extremespeed Genesect: The Awakening of Mewtwo double poster as long as supplies last.

The front side of the poster will feature an Extremespeed Genesect: The Awakening of Mewtwo illustration with a calendar for April, May, June and July, with important dates (start of the ticket preorder period, start of the ticket preorder Mewtwo event download period, and movie premiere date) marked.
The back side will feature a Pikachu and its Eievui Friends illustration and a maze game. Correctly solving the maze makes you eligible to win various tie-in prizes.

The Japanese Pocket Monsters movie site as well as the official Japanese Pokémon wesite have updated with most of the details of the upcoming Movie 16 pre-order ticket distribution. Mewtwo will be distributed to those that pre-order tickets from April 20th, 2013 until July 12th, 2013. The actual distribution will take place from June 20th, 2013 until September 1st, 2013.

Near the end of Pokémon Smash, Shoko-tan revealed that she will be the voice of Nymphia (ニンフィア) in this summer's movie short Pikachu and its Eievui Friends (ピカチュウとイーブイフレンズ). She then drew a picture of Nymphia.

Iris' Kairyu - Data Broadcast Distribution

During Mijumaru's Tweet Corner, the details of Iris' Kairyu were once again announced to remind viewers of its distribution during this weeks episode of Pocket Monsters Best Wishes Episode N. Iris' Kairyu will be distributed on the Japanese Pokémon Global Link through an unlock code provided to viewers that play the Data Broadcast game during BWS2-N 9 - The Plasma Gang's Ambitions! Pokémon Under Mind Control!! (プラズマ団の野望！操られたポケモンたち！！).

The Pocket Monsters Best Wishes Data Broadcast is an additional segment that allows people with a compatible settop to play a game to capture a Pokémon. During the original TV Tokyo airing, the featured Pokémon could be registered in the data broadcast Zukan by correctly answering a question about it as the ending theme plays. Successfully completing the Data Broadcast for this episode gives people an unlock code for Kairyu.


Kairyu (カイリュー) is level 55 and has the ability Multiscale. It knows the following moves: Dragon Rush, Safeguard, Wing Attack and Thunderpunch. It will be distributed to players of the Japanese version of Pocket Monsters Black, White, Black 2 and White 2.

Oha Suta debuted the full trailer for the upcoming movie Extremespeed Genesect: The Awakening of Mewtwo (神速のゲノセクト ミュウツー覚醒). The official movie website also updated shortly after with new information. The trailer showcases the Genesect wrecking havoc in New Tork City until Satoshi and friends intervene and Mewtwo shows up just in time to protect them.

Satoshi, Pikachu and friends visit the metropolis New Tork City. In the middle of the city, Pokemon Hills, a residental area exclusively for Pokemon, and intended to provide them protection and shelter, is just about nearing completion. "ELIMINATE THE ENEMY..." Suddenly, a red Pokémon shows up in Pokémon Hills. It's name is Genesect. They are Pokémon the Plasma Gang revived from a 3 million year old fossil in order to use as a weapon. They have been separated from their former homes, and perceive everyone they see as enemies. Turning towards Satoshi and the others, they fire Techno Blasts from the cannons on their backs at them. ...but just then, someone blocks the attack and saves the group: Amazingly, it's the legendary Pokémon Mewtwo. "These are Pokémon never meant to live in this world... just like I am." Understanding Genesect's grief, Mewtwo confronts them. The two clash together in a massive fight, which tremendous shockwaves shoot through the entire city. And as the battle surpasses the limits of both Pokémon, it develops into the greatest speed battle ever seen! 	The Pokémon of Pokémon Hills: Pokémon Hills consists of many "stages" where the environments have been laid out to suit a variety of Pokémon types, allowing a huge amount of Pokémon to live there.

On a summer day, Pikachu, Kibago, Yanappu and Mijumaru meet a Nymphia in a flower bed, and are invited into the forest. There, they find the Eievui House, where Eievui and its friends live together! The pampered Thunders, the shy Booster, as well as Showers, Eifie, Blacky, Leafia and Glacia. Everyone loves Eievui and it evolutions, and they all appear here. And Nyarth and Sonansu take part in the story too, as handsome housekeepers!? All is set for an eventful sleepover to begin!

The Japanese Movie 16 website has updated with information about the new movie. It confirms that the title for the new movie will be Extremespeed Genesect: The Awakening of Mewtwo (神速のゲノセクト ミュウツー覚醒) and posted information about the main characters of both the feature movie and the short.

A promotional TOP SECRET video for the upcoming TCG expansion set Megalo Cannon (メガロキャノン) was posted on the official YouTube Pokémon page. It reveals the Plasma Gang's Project G and four cassettes: Blaze Cassette, Freeze Cassette, Aqua Cassette and Lightning Cassette that are used to change the attack type of Techno Blast.

The latest Pocket Monsters movie debuted in Japanese theaters on July 14th, 2012. The 15th movie Kyurem VS the Sacred Swordsman Keldeo (キュレムVS聖剣士ケルディオ ) and its short Meloetta's Sparkling Recital (メロエッタのキラキラリサイタル) were unable to take advantage of a weak movie debut week compared to previous years and ended up in second place. It made 753,760,100 yen for the three day weekend period.


BRAVE HEARTS Umizaru (海猿) which debuted on July 13, 2012, a day before the Pocket Monsters movie, took top place for the weekend. The extra day of ticket sales could have been a large factor in the box office sales position.
