Attention Trainers! An update to Pokémon UNITE to resolve in-game bugs and add features has taken place. Details of this patch have been added to our Pokémon UNITE patch page.

Pokémon UNITE Game Update - June 8th, 2023 - Version 1.10.1.1

It is now possible to update your game to the newest version. For a short while, it will still be possible to play the old version of the game, but you will not be able to access certain content. Matchmaking will likely take longer on the old version, so updating your game is recommended.

Notice regarding a bug

We’ve confirmed a bug that, at present, sometimes causes rank protection cards to behave as though they are for the previous season and therefore prematurely expire.

How rank protection cards and ranked match seasons work
  • The period during which rank protection cards are valid is set for each player, and cards are set to expire at the end of the ranked match season that the player is currently participating in.
  • After a ranked match season begins, a player’s participation in that season commences when they access the ranked match lobby.

How rank protection cards are acquired
  • Battle Pass Season 15
  • Battle pass level 4 no-cost reward (×1)
  • Battle pass level 36 reward (×1)
  • Battle pass level 56 reward (×1)
  • UNITE Club membership benefit after the game updates on June 8 (×2)
  • Battle Pass Season 16 (scheduled to begin on June 12)
  • Battle pass level 4 no-cost reward (×1)
  • Battle pass level 36 reward (×1)
  • Battle pass level 56 reward (×1)

Steps that cause the bug to occur
  1. A player acquires a rank protection card.
  2. The player accesses the ranked match lobby, commencing their participation in that season.
  3. Because the rank protection card acquired in step 1 was, at the time of acquisition, considered to be for the previous season, it expires. The rank protection card is automatically deleted, and the player receives one Aeos ticket attached to a mail message.

  4. Steps that do not cause the bug to occur
    1. A player accesses the ranked match lobby, commencing their participation in that season.
    2. Afterward, the player acquires a rank protection card.

    3. Until this bug is fixed, we ask that players please claim rank protection cards exactly as outlined above.

      Compensation
      • All players who obtained a rank protection card and lost it due to the glitch outlined above will receive a new rank protection card as compensation.
      • We plan to send this compensation via an in-game mail message within a few days of when Battle Pass Season 16 begins.
      • We ask that players please follow the steps outlined above to avoid the bug before they claim rank protection cards from the aforementioned mail message.

Note: Ranked Match Season 12 begins on June 11.

Bug fix timing We plan to fix this bug in an update around mid-July. How rank protection cards will work once fixed:

      • The period during which rank protection cards are valid will be set on a per-season basis. They will only be valid in the specific season they are set for.
      • Note: The set season for a given rank protection card will not change, regardless whether the card is acquired before or after a new ranked match season commences.
      • Expired rank protection cards will be automatically deleted, and the player will receive 100 Aeos tickets attached to a mail message.
We apologize for the inconvenience this bug has caused.

Nintendo announced that the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Version 1.3.0 patch was posted online on April 19th, 2023. Our Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Patches page has been updated with the latest details.

Ver. 1.3.0 (Released April 19, 2023)

Thank you for playing the Pokémon series. On Wednesday, April 19, we released the version 1.3.0 update for the Nintendo Switch exclusive software titles Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet.

Support for Trainers Who Caught an Egg Instead of Walking Wake or Iron Leaves in Tera Raid Battles

Trainers who caught an Egg instead of Walking Wake or Iron Leaves in a Tera Raid Battle before updating to version 1.2.0 of Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet were affected by a bug that prevented them from catching either of these Pokémon.

This bug has been fixed, and Trainers who caught such Eggs instead of Walking Wake and Iron Leaves will now be able to catch these Pokémon.

In addition, the Tera Raid Battle events for these two Pokémon will return around the same time as this game update. Visit this page for details on the Tera Raid Battle events.

Feature Adjustments

A change has been made to the deadline for entries for Friendly Competitions, which are found in the Online Competitions section of the Battle Stadium.
  • Before this change: Entries were allowed until the Friendly Competition began.
  • After this change: Entries will be allowed until the Friendly Competition ends.

Bug Fixes

Link Battles
  • Fixed a bug in Link Battles where selecting Swap in just before the selection timer reached zero could fail to switch in the selected Pokémon and subsequently cause switching — and the battle itself — to act abnormally.
  • Fixed a bug in Link Battles where once the remaining time for the battle was under one minute, it would no longer be displayed where it was supposed to.
  • Fixed a bug that occurred in Link Battles where, depending on the move being used at the time a Pokémon fainted, the amount of time a Trainer received to select their next Pokémon was reduced.

Battles
  • Fixed a bug where the Cud Chew Ability would trigger again once every two turns after it triggered the first time, contrary to what is written in the Ability description.
  • Fixed a bug that occurred when Zoroark Terastallized while using its Illusion Ability to disguise itself as another Pokémon. On the Check Status screen, the Terastallized Zoroark’s type would display as the original type of the Pokémon it had disguised itself as, rather than Zoroark’s Tera Type.
  • Fixed a bug that occurred when Zoroark used its Illusion Ability to disguise itself as another Pokémon that had already Terastallized. This bug caused Zoroark’s type on the Check Status screen to incorrectly display as the Tera Type of the Pokémon Zoroark had disguised itself as.
  • Fixed a bug in Double Battles with moves that cause stat changes for the Pokémon using the moves. This bug caused the stat changes to incorrectly happen twice if the user hit two opposing Pokémon with the move while an opposing Pokémon was behind a Substitute.

Pokémon GO Connectivity
  • Fixed the main issue causing the game to crash on the screen used to pair with a Pokémon GO account.

Other
  • Fixed a bug affecting Trainers who received Hisuian Zoroark from the Mystery Gift screen as a special early-purchase bonus for The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero for Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet without first having seen Zoroark in their game. This bug caused Zoroark to be incorrectly displayed as registered in these Trainers’ Pokédexes.
  • Other select bug fixes have been implemented.
