Pokémon Smash Episode 40, I Like It! Pokémon Roleplay Tournament!! / Movie Pre-Premiere Special! The Secrets of the Twin Productions will Soon be Revealed!(スキです!ポケモンなりきり大会!! / 映画公開直前スペシャル!二作品のヒミツに迫る!), aired on Sunday in Japan.

The announcer introduced what was on the show. He started the show by saying: "Good morning Pokémon fans out there! Wake up and join us right here on Pokémon Smash!". The entire cast was at their desks to start the show drawing on some stationary. Shoko-tan showed a picture she drew featureing Giza Mimi Pichu and Mijumaru.

Golgo introduced this weeks rerun episode as part of the Pokémon Library and he also announces this weeks theme, Going all the way the first time is good! (1つのことをやりきるといいことがある!). This weeks Pokémon Library rerun episode was I Like It! Pokémon Roleplay Tournament!!(スキです!ポケモンなりきり大会!!) from the Diamond and Pearl series. A full summary of that episode is available in the episode guide. Professor Red said his go-to line 'OK! Pokémon Library!' to start the repeat episode.

After the Pokémon Library episode, Red and Golgo played catch. The trailer for the 14th movies was then shown. The cast then opened a ball that contained a banner that said Movie Pre-Premiere Countdown !! (公開直前対決!!). The first thing that they did to celebrate was play Old Maid with Pokémon TCG cards from the latest Victini and Red Collection sets. The Victini card was the old maid. Players discarded cards when they got a full evolution set.

Characters Pokémon from the upcoming 14th movies was then shown in various clips from the movies. Dread's Shimama and Lanculus were shown, as was Carlita's Sazandora and Janta's Golugh. Momont's Giaru, Gigiaru, Gigigiaru were shown and how they are useful in his flying machine. High definition pictures from this scene are available on the imageboard thread.

After the clips, the TCG Old Maid game continued with Akiyama being the 'Old Maid' as he was the last one to have the Victini card. They then talked about the event Pokémon that would be distributed at the movies. A Zekrom and Reshiram were both distributed at Japanese theaters for players that brought their Pokémon Black or White games. Zekrom and Reshiram both have the OT of Satoshi (サトシ). Players that brought Pokémon Black to the theater got Zekrom while players that brought Pokémon White received Reshiram. Detailed information about Satoshi's Zekrom and Satoshi's Reshiram are available in the Event database.

Another event then took place between Team Zekrom (Robert) and Team Reshiram (International Girls). Each team took turns talking about their movies legendary Pokémon and their voice actors. Hideki Takahashi (高橋英樹) is the voice of Zekrom while Shōsuke Tanihara (谷原章介) is the voice of Reshiram. Akiyama drew pictures of Satomi Ishihara (石原さとみ) and Hideki Takahashi (高橋英樹). Victini thought that Team Reshiram gave the better presentation.

On June 1st, 2011, the yearly Pocket Monsters press conference reading for the current movie took place. For this years 14th Pocket Monsters movies Victini and the Light Hero - Reshiram / Victini and the Dark Hero - Zekrom (ビクティニと白き英雄レシラム / ビクティニと黒き英雄ゼクロム), Hideki Takahashi (高橋英樹) the voice of Zekrom, Shōsuke Tanihara (谷原章介) the voice of Reshiram, the voice of Carlita (カリータ), Shōko Nakagawa the voices of Shade and Aude, Kōichi Yamadera (山寺宏一) the voice of Momont, Mao Daichi (大地真央) the voice of Janta, and director Kunihiko Yuyama (湯山邦彦) were all in attendance. Shoko-tan is participating in her 5th consecutive Pocket Monsters movie.

A recorded clip conducted by Shoko-tan was shown. Shoko-tan interviewed the voice actors in a similar style to the Black/White quiz from the Pokémon Quiz Caravan. The questions were asked by Shoko-tan to all the voice actors.

Shoko-tan quickly interviewed Mizuki Nana (水樹 奈々) the voice of Victini and Takeshi Tsuruno (つるの剛士) the voice of Dread who both said they enjoyed their experience recording for the movies.

For the next segment of the show, Robert and the International girls participated in the Victini's V-Generate Find the Mistake Obstacle Course Quiz (ビクティニのVジェネレート障害物まちがいさがしクイズ) that is usually part of the Pokémon Caravan Quiz. Participants would wear a helmet with a V shaped container that had balls in them. They would have to go through the obstacle course while trying not to drop the balls. Yamamoto and Hana did the first part of the obstacle course which was finding a candy ball in a flour pan and the second part was popping a ballon. Baba and Misaki did a hot shocking bowl where they would have to get a can out of it and then drink it. Akiyama and Maria did finding a candy ball and group skipping. Team Reshiram ended winning and got 1000 points added to the running score.

A clip of the orchestra recording for the movies was then shown. The movies feature two soundtracks and two ending themes. The composers for the movies are: Akifumi Tada (多田昭文) and Kazuhiko Sawaguchi (澤口和彦) as well as Shinji Miyazaki (宮崎慎二). Earlier this year, Junichi Masuda posted on the Game Freak Blog that he went to two recording sessions, one on Saturday, May 28th, 2011 and the other on Saturday June 4th, 2011. They played the two different title themes for the 14th movies so people could hear that there was a difference. The group Every Little Thing which includes Kaori Mochida (持田香織) and Ichiro Ito (伊藤一朗) did the theme songs: Sora (宙 -そら-) which will be the ending theme for Victini and the Dark Hero - Zekrom (ビクティニと黒き英雄ゼクロム) and Koe (響 -こえ-) which will be the ending theme for Victini and the Light Hero - Reshiram (ビクティニと白き英雄レシラム).

As a reminder for the CD of Can You Say the Pokémon? BW (ポケモン言えるかな? BW) which was released on June 22nd, 2011, they filmed various kids singing the song for the ending.

The Movie 14 Premiere was held on July 9th, 2011 at (C.C.Lemonホール) in Shibuya, Tokyo. Voice actor Hideki Takahashi (高橋英樹) the voice of Zekrom, Mao Daichi (大地真央) the voice of Janta, Satomi Ishihara (石原さとみ) the voice of Carlita (カリータ), Kōichi Yamadera (山寺宏一) the voice of Momont, Shōko Nakagawa the voices of Shade and Aude, Rica Matsumoto the voice of Satoshi, Kaori Mochida and Ichiro Ito from Every Little Thing and director Kunihiko Yuyama (湯山邦彦) were on stage to promote the movies. Press and lucky guests were in the audience wearing Victini hats.

A new background was featured during the intro segment when the announcer introduced what was on the show. It featured the logos of the 14th Pocket Monsters movies. He started the show by saying: "Hey! Hey! Wake up! We'll get you! The Pokémon Entertainment Show! Pokémon Smash! It's time to kick off!". Golgo, Red, Shoko and the International Division girls then showed up to notice Baba and Akiyama working on a large box based on ideas from the Pokémon Quiz Caravan. Baba introduced it as the Yamamoto Black/White Quiz (山本ブラック・ホワイトクイズ) which would be explained later in the show.

Baba introduced this weeks rerun episode as part of the Pokémon Library and he also announces this weeks theme, You're the best the way you are! (そのままの自分が一番!). After the Pokémon Library episode, the Yamamoto Black/White Quiz (山本ブラック・ホワイトクイズ) was introduced. It is similar to the Pokémon Quiz Caravan Black/White Quiz where each participant is given a paddle with white on one side and black on the other. The paddle is used to answer the question white (true) / black (false). The following questions were asked:

After the Yamamoto Black/White Quiz, the Expanded Pokémon Quiz Caravan was introduced. For this episode they visited Tsunobuchi Childrens' Club, Tamamura, Sawa District, Gunma Prefecture (群馬県佐波郡玉村町角渕子供角). The first segment of the quiz was the 'Black/White Quiz' (ブラックホワイトクイズ). The kids were separated into two teams and each person was given a paddle with black on one side and white on the other. When questions were asked, they would raise the paddle they thought was the answer. The team that won would receive 10 points.

Team Reshiram ended up winning the Black/White quiz and a new caravan segment was then introduced. The Black/White Tug of War Quiz (ブラックホワイトつなひきクイズ). The two teams would start off by having a tug of war contest. The team that won was then given a question to answer. There are nine questions in total ranging from 10-30 points. Members of the International Division would ask the questions by poking their head out of the hole.

Team Reshiram ended up winning the Tug of War Quiz with 80 points while Team Zekrom got 40 points. During Mijumaru's Tweet Corner, a clip was shown to promote the upcoming Don Battle arc in Pocket Monsters Best Wishes. Voice actor Tomohiro Waki (脇知弘) was featured as he plays the reoccurring character Kenyan (ケニヤン). Pictures from the trailer have been added to our imageboard.

Another new segment debuted for the Pokémon Quiz Caravan after the Tweet Corner. The Pokémon Cosplay Gesture Quiz(なりきりポケモンジェスチャークイズ) featured the International Division girls dressing up as Pokémon and then playing Charades. Team Zekrom ended up winning and received 70 points while Team Reshiram got 50 points.

The next portion of the quiz was the Victini's V-Generate Find the Mistake Obstacle Course Quiz (ビクティニのVジェネレート障害物まちがいさがしクイズ). Participants would wear a helmet with a V shaped container that had balls in them. They would have to go through the obstacle course while trying not to drop the balls. The first part of the obstacle course was a balance beam they had to walk across, the second part was going through hula hoops, the third part was finding a candy ball in a flour pan, the forth part was popping a ballon, the fifth part was trying to pick up a ball and the final part was group skipping. For each ball that they had left at the end of the obstacle course, the team would get 1 second on the clock.

The final part of the quiz was the 'Find the Mistake' part. Team Zekrom got 9 seconds to spot the differences while Team Reshiram got 24 seconds. Team Reshiram found 7 differences while Team Zekrom found 6 differences. Team Reshiram ended up winning the Caravan Quiz with 210 points while Team Zekrom ended up with 170 points. 2100 points and 1700 points were added to the running score which as of the airing of this episode was: Team Zekrom 87,590 points and Team Reshiram 87,530 points.

ThumbnailIt has been announced that 'The Pokémon Adventure Camp' will be a feature at this years GuilFest which takes place on July 15th, 2011 to July 17th, 2011 at Stoke Park, Guildford in Surrey, United Kingdom. Players of Pokémon Black and White can receive Shelmet and Karrablast which will be distributed at the event. Visitors will also receive a special training card when they enter GuilFest and if it is filled out for each area they can receive an official Pokémon adventure cap.

The 13th movie: Pokémon - Zoroark: Master of Illusions will be screened in the mornings of Saturday July 16th and Sunday July 17th at the Vintage Fayre. Visitors to the event can also get their picture taken with Tepig, Oshawott and Snivy and have their face painted. Pokédex 3D will also be featured with the AR markers.

Tickets to the event are not cheap. A one day pass for a child 12-15 years old on Friday is almost £40. Tickets for the event can only be purchased online or via phone. Tickets are not sold at the entry gates.

picThe latest episode of Pocket Monsters Best Wishes 40 - Zorua the Movie! Legend of the Pokémon Knight!! (ゾロア・ザ・ムービー!ポケモンナイトの伝説!!) aired on Thursday in Japan.

At a theater, Satoshi and his friends meet the "Tricky Fox Pokémon" Zorua. Trainer Luke, making a film starring Zorua, who loves disguising itself as a movie heroine, invites Satoshi and his friends to become involved with the production as well.

Originally this episode was titled: Hiun City Fishing Conference! Fisher Sommelier - Dent Appears!! (ヒウンシティのつり大会!釣りソムリエ・デント登場!!). The episode was delayed after the Sendai earthquake and tsunami.

The official Taiwanese Pokémon website has updated and announced that the new 14th Pocket Monsters movies Victini and the Light Hero - Reshiram / Victini and the Dark Hero - Zekrom (比克提尼與白英雄 雷希拉姆 /比克提尼與黑英雄 捷克羅姆) will premiere in Taiwan this summer. Victini and the Light Hero - Reshiram will be released in theaters while Victini and the Dark Hero - Zekrom will air on Chunghwa Telecom MOD (中華電信MOD獨家上映), the on-demand station that currently airs Best Wishes in Taiwan. No official release date is set but both the movies will be released simultaneously like Japan.

The final Pocket Monsters Diamond and Pearl DVD boxset for Taiwan will also be released this week. The DVD boxset has been added to the DVD database.

The announcer introduced the items for this episode and then said: "Hey boys and girls! It's time for Pokémon Entertainment Show! Pokémon Smash! So let's get started!". Golgo just started off the show with a a very long 'PokéMor~~~ning!' as the cast emulated his greeting. Maria and Hana showed a pictures they drew of Professor Red. Professor Red then showed a picture that was supposedly drawn by his 4 year old daughter but no one believed him with all the CG work. A note on the screen said that Professor Red actually drew it.

Yamamoto introduced this weeks rerun episode as part of the Pokémon Library and he also announces this weeks theme, Even Father's have a Dream! (ふるさとはあたたかい!). This weeks Pokémon Library rerun episode was My Rival is an Office Worker!? (ライバルはサラリーマン!?) from the Advanced Generation series. A full summary of that episode is available in the episode guide. Professor Red said his go-to line 'OK! Pokémon Library!' to start the repeat episode but Yamamoto who had been walking around from camera to camera throughout the segment got in front of the camera shot.

After the Pokémon Library episode, Keywords from the 14th movies were talked about. Misaki held up a card that said 'Sword of the Earth (大地の剣)'. A short clip from the 14th movies was shown. Shoko-tan then held up a card that said 'Ideals and Truth (理想と真実)'. Robert then held up a card that said 'Small (小さいもの)'. Robert then made fun of Golgo for loosing his Okutan which Golgo got pretty upset about. Robert then thought it was best to quickly leave and the VTR with Robert exploring the meaning of the keyword 'Small (小さいもの)' was shown.

Akiyama appeared with a chibi-like stuffed version of himself strapped to his chin. They ask him why he has a 'Little Akiyama' attached to him and he explained that it falls in line with their research on the keyword 'Small (小さいもの)'. They arrived at TOPCON, which is a company that does research in optical Engineering, nano-opto, imaging application, and optical systems development. Akiyama holds up a card with a picture and asks what it is. The narrator explains that it is a picture of the end of a pencil using an electron microscope with a magnification of 100.

Robert entered the plant and ment with Topcon employee Hiroyuki Oshikawa (押川浩之). He showed off an electron microscope that could take pictures 10000x. Akiyama had two containers that he wanted to look at under the microscope, one was salt (しお) the other was sugar (さとう).

For the third item, they then decided to look at a strawberry. They then decided to look at one of Yamamoto's hair's. They then looked at a 10yen coin. Returning to the main set, Victini showed up as well as the group Every Little Thing which includes Kaori Mochida (持田香織) and Ichiro Ito (伊藤一朗). They will be doing this years theme songs: Sora (宙 -そら-) which will be the ending theme for Victini and the Dark Hero - Zekrom (ビクティニと黒き英雄ゼクロム) and Koe (響 -こえ-) which will be the ending theme for Victini and the Light Hero - Reshiram (ビクティニと白き英雄レシラム). Hana and the cast finally made the connection that the keyword 'Small (小さいもの)' that Robert was investigating was 'Every Little Thing'. Just as Every Little Thing left, Robert showed up.

A Battle with the Pokémon Received at the Movie (映画で貰えるポケモンでバトル)

To promote the upcoming event Pokémon that are being distributed for the 14th movies, the Pokémon Smash crew decided to have a battle featuring these Pokémon. The announcer explained the following Pokémon: Pre-order Movie 14 Ticket - V-Generate Victini, the Level 100 Zekrom and Reshiram. Shoko-tan then talked about Janta's Golugh (ジャンタのゴルーグ) and Carlita's Sazandora (カリータのサザンドラ) which were also showcased in the battle. The Dream Battle featured a 4 on 4 battle with Team Zekrom (Robert) VS Team Reshiram (International Division girls) with the Pokémon level capped at 50. Team Zekrom ended up winning at got 300 points added to their running score.

Pokédex 3D (ポケモン立体図鑑BW)

On June 17th, 2011, Nintendo launched the first major system update for Nintendo 3DS in Japan. As part of the update, the Nintendo eShop was launched which allowed users to download the free Pokédex 3D (ポケモン立体図鑑BW) application and start collecting data for more than 150 Pokémon from the Pokémon™ Black Version and Pokémon White Version games. Players can scan AR codes to help them unlock more Pokémon for the dex. Shoko-tan showed off the app and the 3 AR codes for the 5th generation starters were displayed: Tsutarja (ツタージャ), Pokabu (ポカブ) and Mijumaru (ミジュマル).

Super Pokémon Scramble (スーパーポケモンスクランブル)
