Kain is a Pokémon Adventurer who travels around the world seeking out Pokémon that are unusual and rare. He left his Spinda with Claire while he was out traveling. Claire returned Kain's Spinda back the day Ash and his friends were out helping search for it. Kain then gave her the same flower that he gave her the first day they met. Claire's butler Royce explained to Ash and his friends that Claire and Kain are engaged to be married. Just as Kain gets his Spinda back, Team Rocket tried to steal it from him but with the help of Brock's Forretress he was able to get it back safely.
