Summary
The announcer introduced the show by saying: "Today we're going to feature Doctor Akido. Now, get yourselves ready for Pokémon Smash!". The crew walked in and went over to see what Professor Red was working on. Baba went to touch it and Professor Red quickly told him not to touch it.

Golgo introduced this weeks rerun episode as part of the Pokémon Library and he also announces this weeks theme, Failure leads to Success! (失敗は成功のもと!). This weeks Pokémon Library rerun episode was A Great Transformation by Pokémon Magic!? (ポケモンまほうでだいへんしん!?) from the original series. A full summary of that episode is available in the episode guide. Professor Red said his go-to line 'OK! Pokémon Library!' to start the repeat episode.

After the Pokémon Library episode, the International division girls showed up and saw Professor Red's device. Hana asked "What is this?" and Professor Red introduced it as the RED064 The Path to Becoming a "Can You Say the Pokémon? BW" Concert Master (ポケモン言えるかな? BW コンサートマスターへの道~いい!!). A ball would fall down the various layers and would require people to use an accordion to pump air into the machine to drop platforms down to let the ball roll safety to the next level. Maria went first but was only able to get one platform to lower. Baba went next and was a bit faster at pumping the air in and was able get all the platforms to lower to clear the level. Two other machines were shown and viewers can visit various events in Japan to try them out.

Akiyama then introduced a VTR segment featuring the return of Professor Akido as he did Great Experiments which showcased the similarities between Humans and Pokémon. Professor Akido had new makeup on this time that made him look more like the animated Professor Okido. Professor Akido then explained that he wanted to test out a few battle abilities from Pokémon Black and White to see if it would help humans. Professor Akido then showed off his Skill Swap Machine (スキルスワップマシーン) which was a helmet with a wire sticking out of it and a big switch.

Baba was up first and Professor Akido selected the Harvest (しゅうかく) which only 3 Pokémon in the 5th Generation and is only available in the Dream World. When a Pokémon is holding a Berry, there is a 50% chance of it being regenerated. To test out if the Ability worked on humans or not, Baba was entered into a battle against a guy in a black suit holding a fan. Baba then ate a berry that looked like a green pepper to increase his hit points. Baba then went into battle again and Akido told Baba to check his berry box. The berry had regenerated. Once again Baba went into battle and once again the berry regenerated. Akido concluded that the ability worked. He did Okido's famous closing line "Everyone get Pokémon!" (みんなもポケモンゲットじゃぞ!) that normally ends Okido's lab segments.

The next person to try the Skill Swap Machine was Yamamoto. Telepathy (テレパシー) was the ability that was going to be transferred. Telepathy allows the Pokémon to anticipate an ally's attack and dodges it. Akido then told Baba to use the move Discharge (ほうでん) while holding hands with Yamamoto. Discharge is a move that damages all adjacent Pokémon on the field except the originating Pokémon. Yamamoto felt the shock but didn't take any damage. Akido concluded that the ability worked. Akido then says Okido's famous closing line "Everyone get Pokémon!" (みんなもポケモンゲットじゃぞ!) once again but Yamamoto quickly cuts him off by saying: "Stop joking around!" (ふざけんじゃねえよ!) as he obviously thought doing that twice was too much.

The next ability to be tested was Victory Star (しょうりのほし). The Victory Star ability boosts the accuracy of allies and the Pokémon. Akido first wanted to see how well Baba's throwing accuracy was by getting him to throw pies at Yamamoto at a bullseye target. Baba threw 5 pies and missed each time. This time Akido used the Skill Swap Machine on himself. Doctor Akido transformed into Akido Victini. This time Baba threw 5 hits thanks to the ability. Akido Victini closed once again with Okido's famous line "Everyone get Pokémon!" (みんなもポケモンゲットじゃぞ!) while showing Yamamoto covered with pie.

The task was testing a combo of moves. Yamamoto started off in battle and then used Substitute (みがわり) Substitute allows the player to make a copy of the Pokémon in play by using some of its hit points and the copy serves as the Pokémon's decoy. Baba turned into a teddy bear and took the Gyro Ball attacks. Yamamoto then attacked Focus Punch (きあいパンチ) knocking out the opponent.

Pokémon Battrio V

Battle Leader Dai (バトルリーダー・ダイ) showed up to promote the upcoming expansion, Battrio V. He is one of the frontman promoters for the Pokémon Battrio video game in Japan. He hosts tournament related activities as well as promote the game on shows like Pokémon Sunday and Pokémon Smash. The set features Pokémon from the 5th Generation. Dai battled against Professor Red and despite Red having Zekrom and Reshiram on his team, Dai ended up winning the battle.

This was a fun episode. The Skill Swap Machine was an excellent way to show off some of the new 5th generation abilities. I laughed pretty hard watching Yamamoto protest that Akido was doing the 'minna mo Pokemon Getto' line over and over again.
