The Pokémon Company International announced on May 16th, 2024 that a new special expansion for the bestselling Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG), Scarlet & Violet—Shrouded Fable, will be available beginning August 2nd, 2024, at participating retailers worldwide, including Pokémon Center, the premier online destination for official Pokémon merchandise. New Pokémon Trading Card Game: Scarlet & Violet—Shrouded Fable Introduces Highly Collectable Card Illustrations Inspired by Japanese Woodblock Artwork

Pecharunt, originally discovered in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC for the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet video games, will make its Pokémon TCG debut in Scarlet & Violet—Shrouded Fable as a Darkness-type Pokémon. Players can use Pecharunt ex to switch in a Benched Darkness-type Pokémon by using its Subjugating Chains ability. Pecharunt ex can be paired with Okidogi ex, Munkidori ex and Fezandipiti ex to unlock different play combinations.


In addition, parallel foil cards in Scarlet & Violet—Shrouded Fable will feature a new, unique foil pattern surrounding the card artwork. Players can identify cards in the parallel foil set by viewing the expansion code at the bottom-left corner of the card. It’s normally in a black box with white text, but in this case, it will be illustrated in a white box with black text.

Play a New Type of Quick Battle and More During Pokémon UNITE’s Dragon Carnival Event

Put your skills using Dragon-type Pokémon to the test while completing missions and earning rewards.

You’ll Roar with delight during a special celebration of Dragon-type Pokémon in Pokémon UNITE. From May 15, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. to June 11, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. PDT, the Dragon Carnival event features a new type of quick battle, a challenge centered around Hammerlocke’s Gym Leader, Raihan, and rewards aplenty!

Charge into a quick battle in the Full-Burst Battle! Dragon Dustup challenge. In this format, you can only select Dragon-type Pokémon, and you’re allowed to select the same Pokémon as another player. The regular wild Pokémon that you’ll face will be Swablu and Altaria, and Rayquaza will appear in the middle area. Regidrago will appear on the map in the top and bottom lanes, and when a team knocks out that Pokémon, it will advance to the opposing team’s goal. It will then reappear in the other lane after a short cooldown.

There are also rewards to earn by completing missions as you participate in quick battles. You can get Boost Cards, an Energy Boost Tank, a Dragon Fest logo sticker, a Pokémon Face Hat (Rayquaza), a Unite License Selection Box, and a Holowear Selection Box.

In the Raihan Dragon Challenge, use different Dragon-type Pokémon to complete even more missions and earn tokens that can be exchanged for prizes including Unite snapshot backgrounds, item enhancers, Aeos coins, Aeos tickets, and Raihan Trainer fashion items.

The Pokémon Company held a press conference on April 30th, 2024 and announced that Pokémon Horizons: The Series would start airing on May 25th, 2024 on Hungama. The Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu dubs will be getting their own opening and ending tracks composed by the music duo Vishal-Sheykhar and sung by Armaan Malik and Shirley Setia. This will be the first time they get their own theme song as these dubs had always used the English dub theme.

Universal Studios Japan will hold its summer event NO LIMIT! Summer 2024 from Wednesday, July 3rd, 2024 to Sunday, September 1st, 2024. The Summer Splash Parade will be held for the first time in the park's history and water will be shot from floats! The entire park will be soaked with water!


This year, the Water Parade will return for the first time in four years as the Park's signature summer “wet parade,” and will be renamed NO LIMIT! Summer Splash Parade. For the first time in the park's history, a number of water floats will spray a large amount of water. Mario and his friends, including the first-ever giant Gyarados and other water-type Pokémon, as well as many of the park's popular characters, will all be on hand to splash water for a super exhilarating summer entertainment experience.

Young Trainers can explore the Pokémon world with a range of engaging monpoké titles from leading global publisher Scholastic. Featuring soft and sweet illustrations, the monpoké titles introduce young children to new Pokémon friends in a fun and interactive way. POKÉMON CARD LOUNGE: Service Details and Fees

At the POKÉMON CARD LOUNGE, you can enjoy the Pokémon Card Game experience in a special space with a sophisticated design and original, carefully selected, high-quality seats to play the game. The minimum charge is 1,500 yen (excluding tax) per person for 60 minutes.


The walls of the POKÉMON CARD LOUNGE are designed with Basic Energy energy symbols and other designs, creating a space that features the Pokémon Card Game style. All desks and chairs are custom-made to provide a comfortable place to play the Pokémon Card Game.

In addition, you can enjoy free drinks and snacks (about 50 kinds of drinks and 30 kinds of individually wrapped snacks) at the table where you play against each other. You can play the Pokémon Card Game with the cards you brought, but they will also lend you decks such as a Pokémon Card Game Classic* deck and other necessary items such as supplies free of charge, so you can enjoy yourself even if you come in empty-handed.
(*) Please note that the number of Pokémon Card Game Classic decks is limited.

There is also one private room that can accommodate up to four people (see price plan for details), allowing groups to play without worrying about their surroundings or just relax.


And, as a commemorative novelty, visitors to the POKÉMON CARD LOUNGE will receive one of a total of 11 types of welcome cards at random with an energy mark on the front. The welcome card is a great size to use as a divider inside a deck case. The date of visit and the deck used can be written on the back, and the opponents names can be described on the back.

In the product sales area, they will be selling Pokémon Card Game related products and original POKÉMON CARD LOUNGE goods with the Basic Energy energy marks as the main design used on the products.
