While Mega Lucario, the Mega Evolution of Lucario, appears in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, the newly discovered Mega Lucario Z will be appearing in Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension!
Z Mega Evolutions such as Mega Lucario Z need less time to fire off moves after receiving an order. But Z Mega Evolutions also burn through Mega Power very quickly, making them less suited for long battles, so try to settle matches as fast as possible!
Press Release - Mega Lucario Z Discovered for Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension
Catch Legendary Pokémon Mewtwo in Extra Side Mission Available Now in Pokémon Legends: Z-A
BELLEVUE, Wash.– Dec. 2, 2025 – Today, the Pokémon Company group revealed that Mega Lucario Z has been discovered and will appear in Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension[1]. A new extra side mission has also been revealed for Pokémon Legends: Z-A, allowing players to catch the Legendary Pokémon Mewtwo.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension - Mega Lucario Z
A newly discovered form of Lucario, Mega Lucario Z was determined to be a Mega Evolution based on how its form changes through exposure to a Mega Stone and its increase in power far outshining that of an average Lucario.
The long fur around Mega Lucario Z’s head and waist, as well as its fan-shaped tail, make it difficult to get a full view of Mega Lucario Z’s powerful movements. In close combat, this can work to visually disorient opponents. Areas of its body, such as the backs of its hands and its shins, have been hardened with steel energy – allowing it to deliver powerful blows by concentrating its strength precisely into these hardened parts.
Category: Aura Pokémon
Type: Fighting/Steel
Height: 4'3" (1.3 m)
Weight: 108.9 lbs. (49.4 kg)

New Details Revealed for Relaxing Life Simulation Game Pokémon Pokopia
Latest Trailer Showcases Key Steps for Building a Pokémon Paradise and Some Slightly Peculiar Pokémon
BELLEVUE, Wash. – Nov. 13, 2025 – Today, the Pokémon Company group revealed an in-depth look at Pokémon Pokopia – a relaxing life simulation game releasing on March 5, 2026, for Nintendo Switch 2 – via a new trailer on the official Pokémon YouTube channel.
A New Life from the Ground Up
In Pokémon Pokopia, players play as a Ditto that has awoken from a long slumber and transformed to look like a human. Ditto meets the peculiar Professor Tangrowth, who has been living all alone in a place where humans and Pokémon once lived—and appears to be wearing human tools. Seeing the withered grass and trees, Ditto decides to build the area anew by crafting items and learning moves from other Pokémon, creating a utopia for everyone to live in, one step at a time.
Building the Ideal Space
The player can learn moves from the Pokémon they meet, helping to create habitats where different Pokémon will appear. The moves they learn can also be used for other purposes, such as smashing walls with Rock Smash, adding more greenery with Leafage, going from mountain to mountain in a single leap with Glide, or travelling across water with Surf.
Players can also interact with the Pokémon they meet, including playing jump rope with Bulbasaur’s vines, having Charmander light fires, or teaming up with lots of Pokémon to build houses to live in.
Pokémon may come to the player with requests for making their environment a more comfortable place to live. Some will even have important requests tied to solving larger problems. Fulfilling these requests will lead to the development of the entire area.
Players can also look forward to switching up their look with different hairstyles or outfits, and crafting items or furniture to personalise their surroundings. Up to four players can also enjoy playing together[1].
Peculiar Pokémon
In addition to Professor Tangrowth, players will encounter other mysterious Pokémon.
Peakychu: A pale Pikachu with drooping ears whose fur is a mysterious colour.
Mosslax: Moss has grown all over this Snorlax’s body, and it looks as though a flower is blooming atop its head. It must have been asleep for a really long time.
Smearguru: A Smeargle with vibrant colours splattered across its body. It almost looks like a painter when it uses its tail as a brush.
Please visit the official Pokémon Pokopia website for more information.

License Journeys for Pokémon UNITE launches on December 4th, 2025 and its a new system to unlock free Pokémon Unite licenses by selecting and earning license points via gameplay.
License Journeys—A New Way to Obtain Unite Licenses—Are Here!
On December 4, 2025, a new feature—License Journeys—will be added, which will give players a new way to obtain Pokémon Unite licenses.
Multiple times per License Journey, players will choose a Unite license they wish to obtain. Then, they can play the game to accumulate license points toward unlocking that Unite license.
License Journeys and Selecting Pokémon
Each License Journey will contain several available Unite licenses, and players will be able to choose licenses and then accumulate license points toward unlocking them.
Typically, each time the player selects a Unite license to work toward, they’ll choose from five available licenses. However, there will also be times players can choose from all the Unite licenses in the game.
Unite licenses for newly released Pokémon may also become available via License Journeys at the same time they’re released in the shop.
Obtaining License Points
Players can obtain license points as battle pass rewards, from random boxes, or as rewards from other events.
Battle Pass Rewards
When a player’s battle pass level increases, they can claim battle pass rewards, and license points will be included in these rewards.
Some license points can be obtained via a standard battle pass, but players can obtain even more license points via a premium pass. This means premium passes won’t just include high-quality Holowear—they’ll also be a way to progress through License Journeys quickly.
Random Box Rewards
By completing missions, players will be able to open a random box that’s distributed each day. By opening these random boxes, players can obtain a variety of items—including, on rare occasion, Unite licenses, license points, and more.
Other Future Event Rewards
Discontinuing Aeos Coins
With the introduction of License Journeys, Aeos coins will no longer be distributed, and their use in the shop will be discontinued. Until then, you can use previously earned Aeos coins at the shop, and after License Journeys are introduced, we plan to implement ways to exchange previously earned Aeos coins for license points.
Please see below for more information about when Aeos coins will discontinue and how to use them.
Discontinuation Schedule
As of December 4, 2025, Aeos coins will no longer be distributed, and the Unite Battle Committee will no longer offer Unite licenses in exchange for Aeos coins.
If you would like to obtain Unite licenses via Aeos coins, please do so by December 4, 2025.
After December 4, 2025, the Unite Battle Committee will, however, continue to offer Unite licenses in exchange for Aeos gems.
Exchanging Existing Aeos Coins
As of December 4, 2025, an Aeos Coin Exchange will become available. Here, players will be able to exchange previously earned Aeos coins for license points or various items.
Aeos coins and the Aeos Coin Exchange will remain in-game until May 2026.
