Iyuno Media Group, a market leader in localization services to the media and entertainment industry, today announced it has entered into an agreement with Imagica Group Inc. to acquire 100% of SDI Media.
This transaction, which is subject to review and approval from relevant authorities, brings together two companies with the shared mission of supporting, innovating and leading the art of global storytelling. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

“As two of the leading media and entertainment localization service providers in the world, together we will provide an unprecedented solution to the market,” continued Mr. Lee. “Both companies are perceived as leaders of quality services, global coverage and innovation. By combining the two, our goal is to effectively support the rapidly growing need from media businesses around the world – not only by offering scale, global coverage and end-to-end capabilities across our worldwide operations – but also by utilizing state-of-the-art technologies such as AI to bring true best-in-breed support for the industry.”
“We are excited to join Iyuno and become part of the industry’s leading localization services company,” said Mark Howorth, Chief Executive Officer, SDI Media. “We believe that the increasing global content distribution needs of the industry can only be served by a complementary service provider that can scale with them in support of their needs.”
Iyuno was supported in this transaction by Altor, Shamrock Capital and SoftBank Ventures Asia, its primary financial partners. EXPLORE THE NATURAL WONDERS OF THE LENTAL REGION AND UNCOVER THE MYSTERY BEHIND THE ILLUMINA PHENOMENON IN NEW POKÉMON SNAP
Become a Budding Pokémon Photographer When New Pokémon Snap Launches April 30, Exclusively on Nintendo Switch
Get ready to visit the many beautiful isles of the Lental region in the New Pokémon Snap game for the Nintendo Switch family of systems. Filled with diverse ecosystems, from dense jungles to vast deserts, the archipelago of the region is an untouched natural marvel, packed to the brim with Pokémon just waiting to be discovered!
Professor Mirror / Professor Kagami (カガミ博士) and Rita (リタ)
In New Pokémon Snap, players will take on the role of a budding Pokémon photographer and work with the Lental region expert, Professor Mirror, and his assistant, Rita, on an ecological survey to photograph Pokémon thriving in nature. In a new trailer released today, additional footage and details were unveiled for New Pokémon Snap, including its April 30 launch date.
“New Pokémon Snap presents a fun twist on a Pokémon adventure, with enchanting gameplay that lets players see some of their favorite Pokémon in a different light,” said Nick Chavez, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “This new game is a fun addition to the strong lineup of Pokémon titles available on Nintendo Switch, and we can’t wait to see everyone’s pictures when New Pokémon Snap launches on April 30.”
Wild Pokémon are all around and have adapted to thrive in all the various natural expanses of the Lental region. They may be seen living in groups patrolling their territory, wandering serenely on their own or even playing with other Pokémon species. With a careful eye and a photographer’s keen sense of adventure, you’ll be able to spot Pokémon lurking in all sorts of places, including secluded hideaways … and sometimes swooping down suddenly from the sky! Players will be able to interact with Pokémon by throwing a Fluffruit, a tasty fruit found across the region, to catch their attention or watch them eat. You can even use this fruit to help draw out Pokémon into a variety of situations to see how they react. These serendipitous opportunities present a special challenge, and catching them with your camera at the perfect moment may gain you higher scores.
Neo-One (ネオワン号)
Professor Mirror will evaluate and score players’ photos taken on their adventures. Pokémon photography is evaluated based on the subjects’ poses, how large they appear, how directly they’re facing the camera and where they fall in frame. As players take more photos and fulfill research on their journey, they may see Pokémon look and behave in entirely new ways. Players will have to take many photos and use their highest-scoring shots to fill out their Photodex, a collection of Pokémon photographs.
The untouched depths of the Lental region may sound daunting at first, but don’t worry. Explorers will hop into the NEO-ONE, an auto-driving vehicle, which will steer them across various paths on each island and will help free up time to focus on snapping the perfect shots. Throughout your missions, you may even get to see Pokémon looking and behaving differently than ever before. These special moments are memories to savor, so, luckily, you’ll always have your trusty camera on hand to capture them for Pokémon posterity.
Some Pokémon and vegetation that players may discover will appear to have a special glow. These strange occurrences are found only in the Lental region and are known as the Illumina Phenomenon. Jump into the trusty NEO-ONE and uncover the mystery behind the Illumina Phenomenon!

Pokémon is working with some of the biggest names in music, from rising artists to award-winning global superstars, for the program, titled P25 Music. Pop icon Katy Perry was revealed today as a premier collaborator in the massive, yearlong music campaign.
“Pokémon has been a constant in my life from playing the original video games on my Game Boy, to trading Pokémon TCG cards at lunch, to the adventures of catching Pokémon on the street with Pokémon GO. I’ve even visited the Pokémon Café in Japan while on tour! It is an honor to be chosen to help celebrate a franchise that has given me so much joy in the last 25 years, and to be able to watch it evolve in the ways it’s provided that kind of electric joy for the kids in my life and around the world,” said Katy Perry.
“In Katy Perry, we see a kindred spirit to Pokémon, whose world is bright, fun and uplifting,” said Colin Palmer, vice president of marketing at The Pokémon Company International. “Katy is a wonderful ambassador to help us celebrate 25 years of Pokémon, and we can’t wait for music fans everywhere to experience the exciting collaborations we have planned.”
“We are honored to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Pokémon and the significant cultural impact this beloved franchise continues to have around the world. Working together, we have developed dynamic year-round programming involving artists from across UMG’s labels — because what better way to create a global celebration than through the power of music,” said LJ Gutierrez, General Manager, UMGB.

The Pokémon Company International announces Pokémon: Kids Winter Fest, a fun-filled website for younger Pokémon fans
Today, The Pokémon Company International launched Pokémon: Kids Winter Fest, a new website designed for younger Trainers. From December 1, 2020, at 6 a.m. PT until January 3, 2021, at 3:59 p.m. PT, aspiring Pokémon Trainers will be able to access a variety of free to-play minigames and activities and to test their Pokémon knowledge on mobile devices, tablets, and computers that have a web browser.
The main objective in Pokémon: Kids Winter Fest is to earn Razz Berries. Once players earn a certain number of Razz Berries during a game, they will be awarded a badge pouch containing Pokémon badges to add to their collection. There are over 890 Pokémon badges to collect! Razz Berries collected by players are also added to their team’s daily total, which will add to their progress in the team races. The first team to cross a race checkpoint will be awarded an in-game item.
Players can also earn extra Razz Berries and Pokémon badges by reaching milestones in the team races, using the daily rewards wheel, or collecting special daily rewards. They can even collect Legendary Pokémon badges when obtaining Legendary pouches, and Mythical Pokémon badges by completing the daily Mythical missions!
Pokémon: Kids Winter Fest features the following minigames and activities:
Battle Dunk
Tapping with their mouse or fingers to aim and release their selected Pokémon, players will need to knock as many enemy Pokémon out of the arena as they can without running out of energy. But be very careful—the other Pokémon are also trying to knock you out of the arena!
Pair Up
In a quickfire matching game, players will have 60 seconds to test their Pokémon knowledge and find the matching cards as quickly as possible for the best score. This game has four levels of difficulty: match all of the same Pokémon together, match each Pokémon with its Evolution, match each Pokémon with a card showing its correct type, or match each Pokémon with a card showing a type that it is weak against!
Relay Ridge
In this obstacle course, players will need to get as far as they can by safely moving Pokémon along the top of the cliff without falling off or hitting too many obstacles. When reaching checkpoints, Pokémon will automatically swap, their health will be restored, and Razz Berries will be rewarded.
Snow Holes
A group of Diglett is causing chaos in the snow fields and threatening to break the ice! Players will need to get rid of them by tapping as quickly as possible. Dugtrio might even make an appearance for a bonus round!
Waterfall Crossing
In this minigame, players will need to help Pokémon cross the river safely, by bouncing them across on their raft using their mouse or fingers. But they must also watch out for Jigglypuff! This Pokémon will make the players’ Pokémon fall asleep, and players will need to spend precious time waking them up!
