Four limited edition Nintendo 2DS's will be released in Japan on Saturday February 27th, 2016. Pre-orders begin on December 26th, 2015 and those that order one of the sets at a Pokémon Center can also get a special art book with which you can listen to Pokémon cries. The Nintendo 2DS box art and case coloring match that of the original games Pocket Monsters Red, Green, Blue and Pikachu. The Pocket Monsters Blue set will be only available at the Pokémon Center and Pokémon Stores. High resolution box art and system pictures have been added to an Imageboard thread.
Mew Exchange Ticket
The Mew Exchange Ticket is included in the Nintendo 2DS Limited Edition sets and it allows players to get Mew in their digital copy of Pocket Monsters Red, Green, Blue and Pikachu. Full details of the exchange event will be announced by February 2016.

Players that purchase a digital copy of Pocket Monsters Red, Green, Blue or Yellow from the Nintendo eShop from
Saturday February 27th, 2016 through Tuesday February 28th, 2017 will receive a serial code to unlock Mew as a present. Players can redeem the code in Pocket Monsters X, Y, Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire from Saturday February 27th, 2016 through Friday March 31st, 2017.
From January 1st, 2016 until June 30th, 2016, an Event Pokémon Campaign is being held at the Pokémon Center Hiroshima. Each month a new Pokémon is being distributed for players of the Japanese versions of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. During this period, the Pokémon Center Hiroshima will also be holding events for family and friends to have fun. Players that received these event Pokémon in the past from their previous distributions could also receive these Pokémon.

Various Pokémon Trading Card Game goods will be available for a limited time in January 2016 only at the Pokémon Centers and are unattainable elsewhere. A box set of card shields featuring the artwork of Pikachu wearing Ponchos was available.

Various business cards featuring the Pikachu wearing Ponchos were available while supplies lasted to patrons of the stores. Poncho wearing Pikachu mascots also appeared to allow people to take pictures with them.
A POKÉMON with YOU Smile Park (POKÉMON with YOU スマイルパーク) event will be held at Big Palette Fukushima (ビッグパレットふくしま) on Sunday, December 20th, 2015 from 10:00 to 17:00.
The official Japanese YouTube Channel posted a video for the Pikachu Mega Campaign (ピカチュウの メガキャンペーン) which will take place at the Pokémon Centers starting on December 12th, 2015. This is part one of the campaign and another part will be announced at a later date. Images from the video have been added to an Imageboard thread.
Patrons that spend at least 2,000 yen on merchandise at the store can receive 1 of 8 different Poncho Pikachu cards with an accompanying Clear File. All 3 starters are level 5 and have the OT Pokémon Lab (ポケモンラボ). Chicorita knows the moves Tackle and Growl. Hinoarashi knows the moves Tackle and Leer. Waninoko knows the moves Scratch and Leer. The Pokémon Company International and McDonald’s USA announced today that one of the world’s most popular entertainment franchises has partnered with the world’s leading food service provider to kick off the latest Happy Meal promotion. The Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire Happy Meal will be available at participating McDonald’s locations in the US and Canada from Friday, November 27 to Wednesday, December 23.
The Happy Meal will include one of eight Pokémon figures from the Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire video games: Pikachu, Primal Groudon, Primal Kyogre, Lugia, Rayquaza, Mega Latios, Wobbuffet, and the newly discovered Mythical Pokémon Hoopa. In addition to the toy, plus one of 12 Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) cards, fans in the United States will also be able to receive the Mythical Pokémon Hoopa for their Pokémon X, Pokémon Y, Pokémon Omega Ruby, and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire video games by bringing their game and Nintendo 3DS family system to participating McDonald’s locations and connecting to Nintendo Zone.

The Pokémon EXPO Gym (ポケモンEXPOジム) is the first Pokémon themed interactive edutainment facility in Japan. The 'Communication with Pokémon' (ポケモンとのコミュニケーション) is based on the world of Pokémon and is focused on developing the communication skills of children while still having fun. The biggest feature of the Pokémon EXPO Gym is that the visitors, Pokémon Trainers, can be training while talking to Pokémon in a realistic manner. You can learn techniques or get advice on Pokémon problems.
There are seven program, each with their own individual theme that is focused on growing as a Pokémon Trainers. The Pokémon EXPO Gym Gear (ポケモンEXPOジムギア) app can be downloaded and players can register to check their skills as a trainer and to receive messages during training.
To talk with Pokémon in the Pokémon EXPO Gym requires the Pokémon Fluency Translator (ポケモンペラペラ翻訳機) or Poképera (ポケペラ) for short. It is a Apple iOS and Google Android app which can be downloaded for free from the App Store or Google Play. The app can check records of the player and has other options and it will be available in early November 2015. It intergrates with the Membership Card (メンバーズカード) via IC which is required to particpate at the Pokémon EXPO Gym. The card costs 500 yen including tax and pre-sales will begin starting October 31st, 2015 at the Osaka Pokémon Center.
