June 6, 2022 — In celebration of the upcoming launch of the Pokémon Trading Card Game: Pokémon GO expansion from The Pokémon Company International, Trainers will be able to experience new in-game events in the Pokémon GO app that are inspired by this special collaboration.

These themed in-game events will take place from June 16, 2022, to June 30, 2022, and will include the following.

• Trainers will have the opportunity to catch a Pikachu wearing a Pokémon TCG-themed hat in the Pokémon GO app. This Pikachu can also be found in Pokémon GO booster packs.

The Pokémon TCG Crossover Event

A Pokémon GO in-game event taking place June 16, 2022, to June 30, 2022, will provide Pokémon fans the opportunity to celebrate the new Pokémon TCG: Pokémon GO expansion while playing. During the event, Pokémon featured in the expansion will appear in the wild and in raids. Additionally, as a nod to this Pikachu card from the expansion, Pikachu will appear in Pokémon GO wearing the same blue hat.


Throughout the Pokémon TCG Crossover Event, Mewtwo will be appearing in five-star raids. A Mewtwo V card in the expansion depicts the Genetic Pokémon descending from the sky among tall buildings, implying that a raid may be about to begin with the Trainers below. Wimpod and Golisopod make an appearance in the expansion, too, and they'll be making their Pokémon GO debuts during this time to commemorate the occasion.

Early Pokémon from Pokémon GO Appear

Some of the earliest Pokémon that could be caught when Pokémon GO debuted in 2016 show up in the Pokémon TCG: Pokémon GO expansion. Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, and their Evolutions boast powerful attacks and Abilities, as well as dynamic, colorful artwork. Much of the art shows recognizable moments from Pokémon GO—Ivysaur, for example, is depicted gathering with several other Pokémon around a PokéStop equipped with a Lure Module.

Radiant Pokémon Shine Bright in Pokémon TCG: Pokémon GO

Six Collection Challenges of varying difficulty – some will be harder than others, just like collecting the TCG cards – will be available beginning on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. local time and will run until Thursday, June 30, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. local time. You can complete them all to receive rewards of XP, a Lure Module, and an Incubator. You’ll also be able to encounter Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, and Meltan!

That’s not all! You can keep the collecting going with another three Collection Challenges available beginning on June 23, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. local time and running until June 30, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. local time. You can complete them all to earn additional encounters with Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise!

On Saturday, June 18th, 2022, Forest Present (もりのおくりもの), a collection of items themed around the wonderful encounter between Pikachu and its forest friends, will make its debut at the Pokémon Center!

Pikachu and its friends have spent a fun time together in the forest, depicted in a picture book. It is recommend to use the plush Ootachi cushion, which doubles as a neck pillow, together with the gauze blanket for napping and other relaxing time activities. Other items include a wooden whiteboard, a memo stand figure that recreates the scene in which Pikachu receives a Forest Present from Celebi, and other goods with a natural atmosphere inspired by the forest where the forest Pokémon live. The Pokémon Center Online will begin selling these items on June 16th, 2022 at 10:00 a.m.!

Pokémon Cafe - Forest Present

This is a story about a forest where Pokémon live, surrounded by many trees. It seems that a Pikachu wandered into the forest.....?

Starting on Saturday, June 18th, 2022, the story of Pikachu and its friends in the forest will be brought to life at the Pokémon Café in the form of a new menu!




The lunch mats available at the Pokemon Café are also designed to depict the story that unfolds in the forest. When you flip over the lunch mat that depicts the same scene as the menu where Pikachu and Celebi meet, you will see a scene from the rest of the story. There are two pictures on the back. You cannot choose the mat design.


Each menu item comes with a Pokémon Café original clear drink coaster! It depicts the scene in the story where Pikachu and its friends are enjoying their meal. The coaster, which is given away at random with each drink order, will have the same design! There are 3 designs in total. You cannot choose the design.

We can't wait to see what kind of stories you will encounter. The story will be complete when you order the Forest Present Set ~The Story of Pokémon in the Forest~! Enjoy your time in the forest with Pikachu and make memories at the Pokemon Café.


It is recommend to enjoy the menu together with the Forest Present series of items scheduled to go on sale at the Pokémon Center on the same day!

graniph inc. held a presentation of its new project P-Lab, a collaboration with the Pokémon Card Game and YouTuber Hajime Syacho on Wednesday, May 25th, 2022 at its Harajuku flagship store. The line will be available to purchase in-store starting on May 31st, 2022. Pre-orders are available online on the grapiph website from May 25th, 2022 until May 30th, 2022. The Pokémon Card Game x Hajime Syacho x graniph collaboration project features apparel items and other miscellaneous items featuring the specially created Mischevious Pichu Pokémon Card art design! The Mischevious Pichu (いたずら好きのピチュー) 214/S-P promo card will be included with any item purchase from the merchandise line at the graniph online store or in-person at graniph stores.

The card will also be distributed at Pokémon Centers, Pokémon Stores, and the Pokémon Center Online nationwide in Japan to customers who shop there. 1 card per person will be given out regardless if the purchased items are part of this collaboration.


P-Lab. is the first collaboration project between the Pokémon card game, Hajime Syacho and graniph, and a special Pokémon promo card Mischevious Pichu was created and a total of 14 other collaborative items including T-shirts, sneakers and hats were made using the cards design. At the presentation commemorating the launch of this project, Hajime Syacho, dressed in the P-Lab collaboration items, was invited as a guest to talk about the background of the project, his thoughts on P-Lab., the Pokémon Card Game, T-shirts, and other topics. During the presentation, Hajime Syacho and special guest Abareru-kun played a coin toss game.

The Pokémon card "Mischevious Pichu" was created for the P-Lab project. The Panic Party (どたばたパーティー) move on this Pokémon card requires the player to do a a coin toss and if a coin rolls head, the opponent takes damage, and if a coin rolls tails, the player Pokémon takes damage.

To celebrate the start of the P-Lab. project that produced this special promo Pokémon card, comedian and Pokémon variety show host Abareru-kun came to the event. Abareru-kun and Hajime Syacho played a coin-toss game based on the move "Panic Party" from the card. Abareru-kun won the game and was given a shirt and said, "I will wear this P-Lab. collaboration item while participating in a Pokémon Card Game tournament!"
