Biography
Hirofumi Nojima is a Japanese voice actor and narrator from Suginami, Tokyo and he is affiliated with the talent agency Aoni Production. His range is listed as a lowE to a hiC. His father is voice actor Akio Nojima and his younger brother is voice actor Kenji Nojima.
It's been a long time since I've played Denji, so when I got the call, I felt nostalgic and also very happy that I could play the role again! Satoshi and Gym Leader Denji's first battle in the TV animation "Pocket Monsters Diamond & Pearl" couldn't be finished and they ended up having two Gym Battles. This time, they are both going to fight each other as challengers in the Pokémon World Championships, so I was really looking forward to the recording to see how I could make the battle more exciting.
Normally, Denji is calm and collected, but when it comes to battles, he is as enthusiastic and energetic as Satoshi. I'm sure we are able to show you all a Pokémon battle that is uniquely Denji, so please look forward to it!

デンジは僕自身もとても久しぶりで、お話を頂いた時は懐かしさとともに、「また演じられるんだ！」という嬉しさを強烈に感じました。テレビアニメ「ポケットモンスター ダイヤモンド・パール」でジムリーダーとして初めてサトシとバトルした時は、実は最後まで戦う事ができず、ジム戦を計2回行っています。今回はお互いポケモンワールドチャンピオンシップスのチャレンジャーとしてがっつり戦えるということで、どうバトルを盛り上げるか演者としてもとても楽しみにしながらアフレコに臨みました。
普段は落ち着きのあるデンジですが、バトルとなると熱意も勢いもサトシに負けていません。デンジらしいポケモンバトルを皆さんにお見せできると思いますので、どうぞ楽しみにしていてください！

When Denji returned to the Pocket Monsters anime for PM2019 77, a press release and the official Pocket Monsters Anime Twitter posted a comment from Hirofumi Nojima on August 4th, 2021 about his return to the anime.It's been a long time since I've played Denji, so when I got the call, I felt nostalgic and also very happy that I could play the role again!
