The official Japanese website has posted information on a new line of merchandise named the Practical Adventure Items series (ぼうけんおたすけグッズ), based on items from the Pocket Monsters Black 2 and White 2 video games. The line will go on sale at the Pokémon Centers starting on January 19th, 2013. Below is a list of the products in the line.

A new Keldeo distribution has been announced for France. This Keldeo will be distributed via Nintendo WiFi Connection for players of Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 starting on the 16th of January until the 12th of February. It should be noted that the official site mentions that this Keldeo knows Aqua Jet, Double Kick, BubbleBeam and Take Down, which is not the same moveset as the one the players actually received. The correct details of the Keldeo are as follows:

The official Pokémon website has announced that a Cloyster modeled after the one Abram Burrows used to win the 2012 Pokémon Video Game World Championships will be distributed at Winter Regionals.

Pick up a Powerhouse Pokémon!

Be sure to bring your system from the Nintendo DS family or your Nintendo 3DS system, and your copy of Pokémon Black Version, Pokémon White Version, Pokémon Black Version 2, or Pokémon White Version 2 game when you attend the Pokémon Winter Regional Championships on January 20th. There, you'll be able to get a powerful Cloyster like the one Junior Division player Abram Burrows used to win the Pokémon World Championships! In addition to having the same move set, this Level-30 Cloyster shares the same Nature, Ability, and held item as the one on Abram's championship team. Remember that you don't need to participate in the tournament to get this Cloyster!

Cloyster is just the first Pokémon that will be available via local distribution at upcoming Video Game Championship Series events.

Korean Genesect Details Revealed

Genesect will be distributed via infrared in South Korean from January 19th, 2013 until February 11th, 2013 at participating emart locations. The Genesect is the same Plasma (플라스마단) one that was distributed in Japan in the Summer of 2012. It has the ability Download and knows the following moves: Techno Blast, Magnet Bomb, SolarBeam and Signal Beam.

The 2013 International Challenge will take place from January 25th, 2013 at 00:00 until January 28th, 2013 at 23:59 and it is the first International Wi-Fi tournament for Black 2 and White 2 that is open to all regions to participate against each other. There was three entry categories: Junior (born after 2002), Senior (born between 1998 and 2001) and Master (born before 1997). Players that participate in the competition will receive a Jaboca Berry as an entry gift.

The following Pokémon are banned from the competition: Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Chatot, Celebi, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Deoxys, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Victini, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Keldeo, Meloetta and Genesect.

The official Korean Pokémon website has revealed two new event Pokémon distributions will be taking place. A Singing Paengdori (팽도리) will be distributed from December 22nd, 2012 until December 25th, 2012 for players for the Korean versions of Pokémon Black, White, Black 2 and White 2. A singing Pochama was distributed in Japan earlier in the year only for players of Black 2 and White 2. The Korean Paengdori's OT is: Recital (음악회).

Paengdori will distributed to help promote the return of Hikari's Pochama in the 15th movie short Meloetta's Sparkling Recital (메로엣타의 반짝반짝 음악회) which debuts in Korean theaters on December 19th, 2012.

Also announced was a Genesect distribution which will take place some time in January of 2013 for players of the Korean versions of Pokémon Black 2 and White 2. Further details will be revealed closer to the distribution.

Images from the January 2013 issue of Corocoro have revealed that the 16th Pocket Monsters movie will be tentatively called Extremespeed Genesect (神速のゲノセクト). Also revealed was the 16th movie short Pikachu and its Eievui Friends (ピカチュウとイーブイフレンズ) which will accompany the movie. Both will be released in Japanese theaters on July 13th, 2013.

It was also revealed that Genesect will be distributed in Japan from January 11th, 2013 until February 10th, 2013 in Pokémon Centers for players of Pocket Monsters Black, White, Black 2 and White 2.

The official Japanese Pokémon website has revealed that Junichi Masuda's Deoxys will be distributed via IR to players of Pocket Monsters Black 2 and White 2 from December 15th, 2012 to December 23rd, 2012 as part of the Plasma-dan campaign. From December 15th, 2012 to December 23rd, 2012 the Deoxys will be distributed at Aeon Mall locations and on December 22nd, 2012 and December 23rd, 2012 at Makuhari Messe as part of Jump Festa 2013 (ジャンプフェスタ2013). The POKÉDEX for iOS is now available as an app in North America and Europe for compatible iOS devices. It was released on December 10th, 2012. The Japanese version was released on November 16th, 2012. iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (4h generation), iPod touch (5th generation), iPad 2, iPad Mini, or new iPad are all compatible if they have been updated to iOS 6.0 or later. The app can be purchased from the Apple store for $1.99/£1.49 and it includes data from the 5th generation of Pokémon (494 to 647). Additional packs for the other 4 generations can be purchased for $5.99/£3.99 each. Function wise, the app will be similar to the recently released Pokédex 3D Pro for the Nintendo 3ds.

Top Finishers of the 2012 VGCS Winter Battle Will Earn Byes at Upcoming Live Tournaments and Highly Coveted Championship Points

BELLEVUE, WASH.-December 5, 2012-The Pokémon Company International announced today it is adding Global Battle Union (GBU) Wi-Fi tournaments to its North American 2013 Video Game Championship Series season, making it easier than ever for video game players to step down the road to the Pokémon World Championships. Beginning with the 2012 VGCS Winter Battle, taking place December 13th through December 17th, top finishers of the Wi-Fi tournament will earn byes at live tournaments, including January's Pokémon Winter Regional Championships. Top participants will also receive Championship Points, bringing them one step closer to potentially earning invitations to the 2013 Pokémon World Championships in Vancouver, British Columbia.

The 2012 VGCS Winter Battle is the first time results from a GBU Wi-Fi Competition will count in a North American Pokémon Video Game Championships Series season, adding to an already exciting year that kicked off with the Autumn Regional Championships this October. Players can register for the event between Wednesday, December 5th at 4:00 p.m. PST and Thursday, December 13th at 3:59 p.m. PST at pokemon.com/pgl with gameplay beginning December 13th at 4:00 p.m. PST. Adding to the fun, players who maintain a low disconnect rate in the 2012 VGCS Winter Battle will be awarded a Custap Berry. The powerful Custap Berry gives the Pokémon holding it a better chance to strike first the turn after its HP gets low.
