The official Japanese Pokémon YouTube site has posted the Pokémon Black 2 White 2 Special Official Introductory Movie. The video features scenes from the upcoming games in an animated form. Below is the full video.

Corocoro, Yahoo's Pokémon website and the official Pokémon websites have all updated to post tons of new information about the upcoming games Pokémon Black 2 and White 2. The English box art has been revealed as well as a brief description of the story.

Story Outline

Your journey takes place in the Unova region two years after the events of Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version. You’ll start your adventure in Aspertia City, in the far southwest corner of the Unova region. Many things have changed in the region, including some extraordinary new places and people for you to discover. Plus, many of the returning characters from Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version have taken on new roles when you meet them.

Look forward to uncovering the mystery of Black Kyurem—or White Kyurem—somewhere in the Unova region. Little is known about this enigmatic Pokémon, except that it’s a Dragon- and Ice-type Pokémon with a devastating Ice-type attack—even stronger than Zekrom’s Fusion Bolt or Reshiram’s Fusion Flare!

Main Characters in Black 2 White 2

Returning in Black 2 White 2 are Bel and Cheren but both have taken up different roles as both have completed their journey's as two years have passed since the events of the first Black and White game. Bel has impressive red glasses and is now Dr. Araragi's assistant. She helps the players complete the Zukan and she visits the players in their hometown of Hiougi City (ヒオウギシティ) to give out one of the three starter Pokémon.

Cheren is now a Normal-type Gym Leader who holds a book in one hand and the player is able to battle against him. Bel and Cheren meet up for the first time in two years as the player goes to challenge him. Two years ago, N acted as the king of the Plasma Gang and even defeated the Champion Adeku. Now no one knows what has happened to N!

Returning Characters for the Pokémon World Tournament

Various Gym Leaders, Elite Four Members and Villains will be returning from previous games in Black 2 White 2 for the Pokémon World Tournament (ポケモンワールドトーナメント). Confirmed are: Kasumi, Takeshi, Daigo, Wataru, Shirona, Green, Denji, Sakaki, Erika, Anzu and Katsura. Players will be able to battle them in single and double battles.

PokéWood (ポケウッド)

is a term that combines Pokémon with Hollywood. The aim of this new game feature is to make a movie to attract an audience by making a scenario that would appeal to them. Players are given a variety of script options to choose from and film it in front of a green screen. After screening the movie, players are given reputation points for how well their movie did. A mechanical Bangiras seems to be a main feature in the creation of these movies.

The official Japanese version of the Pokémon Global Link has announced that the site and system will be undergoing updates for the upcoming games Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 (ポケットモンスター ブラック2・ホワイト2). As a result, the site and services will be down of Japanese players from June 5th, 2012 until June 16th, 2012. The site is scheduled to reopen on June 21st, 2012.

During the service update the following will be unavailable:

• All Pokémon Global Link Services
• Pokémon Black and White will not be able to sync online
• Random Wi-Fi matches in Pokémon Black and White will not be available

The announcement has indicated that when the service reopens, the Pokémon Dream World accessibility cut-off time will be reduced from from 24 hours to 20 hours. C-Gears skins will be available in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2. There will be new Pokémon for the Dream Isles as well as new decorations for players houses and there will be new areas. One new area that has been announced is the Cool Hole (ひんやり穴).

A new feature to keep track of players Global Battle Union matches and tournament rankings will be available. The Global Trade Station will see improvements as well and will allow players to see their trade history. There is also a promotion that will unlock something for players that register a Pokémon Black and White game and a Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 game.

Discover cool new features with the relaunch of the Pokémon Global Link!


Get ready for even more fun at the Pokémon Global Link! The site is about to undergo a huge update, which will include some new features and a better experience for visitors!

During this update, the Pokémon Global Link website will undergo a maintenance period and will be inaccessible. For the duration of the maintenance period, all Pokémon Global Link services will be unavailable, including Game Sync and Random Matchup Rating Mode battles in Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version.

One important change to the Pokémon Dream World you should really know about: Berries you’ve collected won’t stay in your Treasure Chest forever! If you don’t visit the Pokémon Dream World for a long time, after 100 days the Tree of Dreams will begin to absorb your Berries and convert them into Dream Points. One of each kind of Berry you own will remain in your Treasure Chest, however. The 100-day countdown begins before the Pokémon Global Link goes into its maintenance period, so be sure to log into your account when the updated site goes live if you want to keep all your Berries!

The maintenance period will begin at 3:00 A.M. ET, Tuesday, June 5th, and run through Thursday, June 21st*. During that time, all features of the Pokémon Global Link (and related Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection features) will be unavailable. Additionally, you will not be able to wake up any Pokémon you’ve tucked in during the maintenance period.

Please be sure to wake up any Pokémon you’ve tucked in before the maintenance period begins!

Pokémon Smash 82 - Yadoking! The King's Symbol! / Team Keldeo and Team Meloetta's 'Movie Pokémon Roleplay Bingo' Showdown! / An Adventure in 'Pokémon B2W2' Using Keldeo! (ヤドキング！　おうじゃのしるし！ / 「映画ポケモンなりきりビンゴ」でチームケルディオとチームメロエッタが対決！ / ケルディオを使って「ポケモンB2W2」を冒険！) aired on April 29th, 2012 in Japan.

During Shoko-tan and Misaki's segment, new footage from the upcoming games Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 (ポケットモンスター ブラック2・ホワイト2) was shown. Shoko-tan showcased Keldeo battling and it was revealed that Keldeo is #298 in the Isshu Zukan. Battles against Growlithe, Sunkern, Magby, Koffing, Magnemite and Ho-oh were also showcased. Also a new route was shown that has many buildings, tall grass and bridges.

During the April 21st, 2012 Nintendo Direct broadcast, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata (岩田 聡) announced Pokémon AR Searcher (ポケモンARサーチャー) and Pokémon National Zukan Pro (ポケモン全国図鑑Pro) for the Nintendo 3DS.


Pokémon National Zukan Pro (ポケモン全国図鑑Pro) is an updated version of Pokémon 3D Zukan BW (ポケモン立体図鑑BW). The update will be released in Japan on July 14th, 2012 for 1500 yen. Black Kyurem & White Kyurem will also be featured in the updated version.


Pokémon AR Searcher (ポケモンARサーチャー) is a completely new application that will be available on the Japanese Nintendo 3DS eShop on June 23rd, 2012 for 300 yen. The application is an Augmented Reality game that utilizes the 3DS's camera to allow users to find Pokémon in their surroundings. The captured Pokémon can then be transferred to the new games Pokémon Black 2 and White 2.

The Official Pokémon B2W2 had its first major content reveal on Friday, April 13th, 2012. The site revealed new Screenshots, artwork and a trailer. Most of the information is just high quality art and screenshots that were in the latest Corocoro issue.



New Isshu Pokédex numbers were also revealed in some of the screenshots. Merriep is #25, Ruriri is #30 and Windie is #52. The updated Zukan style is also shown.

Photos of this month's Corocoro were recently made available online, revealing a lot of new information on Pocket Monsters Black 2 White 2. The games will be released in Japan on June 23rd, 2012 for 4800yen each. The game will take place in Isshu 2 years after the original BW game and feature an all new plot, new areas including Hiougi City (ヒオウギシティ), where your new adventure will be starting and a new Regional Pokédex with roughly 300 Pokémon total. The game will have two new playable characters and a new rival, as well at least two new gym leaders, the Water type leader Shizui (シズイ) and the Poison type leader Homika (ホミカ). A mysterious researcher named Achroma (アクロマ) will also figure into the plot somehow.

New Miscellaneous Information:

• Homika will be appearing in the Best Wishes anime series in an episode to air June 14th, 2012.
• Black Kyurem knows Freeze Shock and White Kyurem knows Ice Burn.
• New Unova Pokédex: Psyduck is #026, Riolu is #033 and Metagross is #254

Amazon Japan has revealed two Nintendo 3DS Hard Covers that feature Black Kyurem and White Kyurem. The Hard Covers confirm that Black and White Kyurem are both Dragon/Ice types, the same as the standard forme Kyurem but Black Kyurem is 3.3metres high and weighs 325.0kg while White Kyurem is 3.6metres high and also 325.0kg. The Hard Covers go on sale in Japan on July 31st, 2012 for 630yen each.
