LustQueen's new song "That's right!!!" has been chosen as the ending theme for the latest Pokémon anime in the "POKÉTOON" series, "An Angry Okorizaru Observation Diary"!
Yuina, a member of the 11-member school idol group Liella! from Love Live! Superstar!!, has launched her solo project LustQueen in June 2024. Her project is part of latest Pokémon anime series POKÉTOON, and the collaboration is based on the character Okorizaru. Each work in the latest Pokémon series will focus on one Pokémon, bringing out out the best of the Pokémon's charms while showcasing an original story and a variety of artwork that is unique to the series.
LustQueen's new song "That's right!!!" is a collaboration with Okorizaru, a well-known Pokémon as it has appeared since the early days of the Pokémon anime series. The song is produced by TAKE of "FLOW", who has created many famous anime songs, and it is a "super positive affirmation song" with a refreshing and positive sound, catchy and humorous lyrics, which features LustQueen's straightforward singing and varied chorus work.
The cover design for this release was produced by the POKÉTOON animation production team. Like the song, it features a positive, forward-moving Okorizaru and the main character with popping colors and design.
Comments from (LustQueen)
I'm very happy and honored to be able to collaborate with Pokémon, a series I've known since I was a child...!!
The theme song "That's right!!!" is a rhythmic and addictive song that will make you want to shout out!
Before the recording, I remember TAKE-san saying to me with excitement, "Let's have fun!!!" Thanks to him, it was a very fun recording!
It is a song that gives me a lot of power when I sing it, and it has the message, "Be true to yourself and live life to the fullest!!!", so I want to do my best to deliver this song, "That's right!!!", to everyone with all my might!!!
Please look forward to the short anime "An Angry Okorizaru Observation Diary" and the ending theme song "That's Right!!!"
I'd also like to observe Okorizaru...!! (laughs)

YouTube Clip - YOASOBI ASIA TOUR 2023-2024 Live in Jakarta
Here is a message from Ayase of YOASOBI, who is a big fan of the Pokémon series!
Comment from Ayase:
Parmot is a Pokémon that I am so attached to that when I played Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, I had it in my "traveling party".
The song Biri-Biri, which I wrote for this project, is centered around Parmot, which is an evolved form of Pamot and also appears in the original novel.
I hope that those who have played or will play Pokémon Scarlet Violet and The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, will love Parmot and add them as a traveling companion while feeling the world through the music and the original novel.

Press Release - ED SHEERAN TEAMS UP WITH POKÉMON FOR NEW SONG AND VIDEO
“Celestial” Recorded for Upcoming Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet Video Games
Bellevue, WA – September 29, 2022 – The stars have aligned as Pokémon mega-fan and international music superstar, Ed Sheeran, has collaborated with The Pokémon Company group on a new song, “Celestial”. His special track will appear in the highly-anticipated video games, Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, launching November 18 exclusively on the Nintendo Switch family of consoles. Fans can get an early listen and enjoy the music video for the song which launches today on Ed’s official YouTube channel.
The “Celestial” video is inspired by Ed’s childhood fascination with the franchise and features some of his favorite Pokémon such as Pikachu, Squirtle, Machamp, Snorlax, and more. It follows a typical day in Ed’s life with a Pokémon twist and was directed by the award-winning Yuichi Kodama. Featuring a unique ‘sketch’ themed art direction from Yu Nagaba, whose style is reminiscent of the doodles that Ed drew of his Pokémon as a child, the video is full of surprises for fans to discover and transports viewers back to a simpler time in their childhood when the sky was the limit.
“I’ve played Pokémon since I was in primary school,” commented Ed. “Me and my brother used to have different versions of the games and would trade Pokémon together ‘til we each completed our Pokédex. I loved the cards but the games are what I lost myself in. I loved the whole world they created; it kept me distracted if there was negative stuff happening in my life/school that I wanted to avoid. It was a world I could escape into and I’ve played it ever since. Even though I'm 31 now, I still own the same Game Boy Color and play Pokémon Yellow or Pokémon Silver on planes and trains when I'm on tour. It’s such an honor to add a song into a Pokémon game and shoot a nostalgic video too. I hope you guys enjoy the song and video - it was a blast to film!”
“Working with a superstar like Ed has been a dream come true for us at Pokémon,” added Kenji Okubo, President of The Pokémon Company International. “We are all such big fans of his and, not only was he a joy to work alongside, his authentic love of everything Pokémon really shines through. Yuichi Kodama has done a fantastic job of capturing a feeling of pure childlike joy and sense of adventure within the video too. Both of their genuine adoration for Pokémon makes this a truly special collaboration and we can't wait to see Pokémon fans and music fans singing along to Celestial. I hope everyone is also looking forward to enjoying the track later this year in the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet games.”

Details of this CD have been added to our Audio Database.
Composer Yuki Hayashi comments:
Once again, there is lot of music, like we had turned a toy box upside down! I tried to make the second bunch more energetic and more grandiose. May the songs of their adventures also be the songs of the adventures of all who listen to them. As this is the last soundtrack release, it was an honor to get to do more arrangements of some wonderful songs this time as well!

COMMENT
To be given an opportunity to arrange Pokémon game music like this is such a fulfilling and wild experience for me. My younger self would have been overjoyed by the very idea. I like my beats to roll with a story-like structure and momentum, so I started off by conceptualizing how a Pokémon Trainer's everyday life would play out. The music begins with a laid-back mood in the Pokémon Center, which then transitions to a heated Trainer battle where the struggle to stay in the fight adds to the feeling of tension and excitement, and so forth. Hope you enjoy.

COMMENT
I mean, come on, you get full free access to the entire collection of original sound data from Pokémon Diamond Version and Pokémon Pearl Version, and be able to mix and match them to your heart's content? Count me in!
When I thought about Pokémon Diamond Version and Pokémon Pearl Version, a quick trip down memory lane took me back to the scene with the special report, "Search for the Red Gyarados!" featured on the TV early in the game. And just like that, my passion for Gyarados really exploded.
This Pokémon bears the handy "Intimidate" Ability, and even "Moxie" which I think is quite slick. Its Attack stat is certainly up there, but its Special Attack value isn’t too bad either. The Mega Evolved form is jaw-dropping to gaze at.
Sure, Gyarados is vulnerable to Electric-type moves, but that is nothing compared to the countless times this Pokémon saved me in close battles. All this nudged me towards crying out its name the way I did in my music.
I sprinkled in all sorts of sampled in-game sounds into the mix for your ears to spot, but it was far from exhausting the vast variety of assets provided in "Pokémon DP Sound Library". With all this material to work off of, I'm excited to see what kind of arrangement other artists will compose. To all Pokémon Trainer musicians out there! GYARADOS!!
