Alongside various other news on the 16th Pokémon movie, news on this year's illustration contest were revealed last Friday. Like earlier years, entries will be submitted via participating magazines. Entry forms and a black-and-white picture to be used as the base for your colorized entry will be found in the following issues of the participating magazines:

Corocoro Comic (コロコロコミック) March 2013 issue, on sale February 15th
Corocoro Ichiban (コロコロイチバン) April 2013 issue, on sale February 21st
Pokémon Fan (ポケモンファン) issue 28, on sale February 20th
Weekly Shonen Sunday (週刊少年サンデー) issue 13/2013, on sale February 27th
TV-kun (てれびくん) April 2013 issue, on sale March 1st
Kindergarten (幼稚園) April 2013 issue, on sale March 1st
First Grader (小学一年生) April 2013 issue, on sale March 1st
Second Grader (小学二年生) April 2013 issue, on sale March 1st
Cíao (ちゃお) April 2013 issue, on sale March 1st
Pucchigumi (ぷっちぐみ) April 2013 issue, on sale March 15th

Each issue will come with one of two base pictures, featuring either Genesect or Eievui. After the magazine has gone on sale, that magazine's entry form and picture can also be downloaded on the official movie site. All entries must be submitted before April 19th.

Like before, each magazine will select one main winner each, all 10 of which will have their entry shown during the movie's ending credits. These winners will also receive a Pikachu Yellow Nintendo 3DSLL. In addition, each magazine will select an additional 5 winners each who will receive a Pokémon Tretta Collection Briefcase and a Tretta Report, as well as an additional 100 winners each who will receive 4 booster packs from the upcoming Pokémon Card Game expansion Megalo Cannon.

New this year is the addition of a special Grand Prize. Out of the 10 main winners, a single entrant will be selected to receive a very special prize: A role in the movie itself, dubbing a side character.

In addition to this, Pokémon Smash will be hosting its own "Director Shoko-tan Awards". Out of the various entrants, Shoko Nakagawa will select her personal favorite pictures - one from the magazines using the Genesect picture, and one from the magazines using the Eievui picture. These two winners will each receive a drawing of the Eievui Friends custom-made by Nakagawa herself (The winner of the Grand Prize is not eligible for these awards).

Pokémon Radio Show! Secret Live (Pokémon Radio Show! ロケット団ひみつ帝国」 シークレットライブ) has been announced on the Animate website. The event will take place on Saturday, March 23rd, 2013 from 2:00pm until 3:00pm at the Grande Shibuya. The Rocket Gang Japanese voice actors: Megumi Hayashibara (Musashi), Shinichiro Miki (Kojiro) and Inuko Inuyama (Nyarth) will be in attendance and will be performing in character. A screen will be put in front of them as they do their performance to obscure the audiences view though.

Tickets are limited to those that receive one in the mail after a raffle lottery is completed. To enter the lottery, people need to pre-order a copy of one of the four Pokémon Radio Show CD's from February 15th, 2013 until March 5th, 2013. Those that pre-order will then receive an entry form at the time of purchase to fill out and mail into the following address.

Tickets are only valid for the person that applied for the ticket and cannot be transferred and event staff have the right to refuse a ticket holder entrance to the event if they believe that it is fraudulently transferred. Recording devices such as a camera and camcorder are not allowed at the event to prevent recording but the event will be recorded by event staff. The event may be cancelled due to weather or other reasons.

The official Pokémon website has revealed a new Pokémon TV app for Google Android and Apple iOS. The app allows fans to watch episodes of the Pokémon anime on their compatible Android or iOS devices. The English dub of the 15th anime short Meloetta’s Moonlight Serenade will debut on the app.

Images and information from the March 2013 issue of Corocoro have begun to leak and the much hinted at 6th Generation Eevee evolution has been revealed. Nymphia (ニンフィア) is an evolved form of Eevee but its type and evolution method have yet to be revealed. Nymphia is 1.0m high and weighs 23.5kg.

To 'celebrate' the Super Bowl on February 3rd, 2013, Cartoon Network aired their own 'Pokémon Battle Bowl'.

Momoclo no Kodomo Matsuri 2012 ~Yoiko no Minna Atsumare!~ (ももクロ子供祭り2012~良い子のみんな集まれーっ!) DVD and Bluray were released in Japan on January 23rd, 2013. They feature the Momoiro Clover Z event "Momokuro no Kodomo Matsuri dayo!" held at Toda-shi Bunka Kaikan on May 5th, 2012. The disc features a live performance of the Best Wishes ending theme Mitemite kotchitchi (みてみて☆こっちっち).

The Bluray and DVD are being distributed by King Records. The Bluray has a catalog number of KIXM-68 and retails for 5,040yen while the 2 disc DVD set has the catalog numbers KIBM-333~334 and retails for 3,990yen. Both the DVD and Bluray have been added to our disc database.

It has been revealed that Kyurem VS The Sword of Justice will be available to view in select Hoyts Cinemas in Australia for at least the weekends of February 16th/17th and February 23rd/24th, 2013. The DVD and Bluray will then be released by Beyond Home Entertainment the following week on March 6th, 2013. The DVD's and Bluray have been added to our database and more information about them can be found there.

The opening and ending themes for the new series Pocket Monsters Best Wishes Season 2 Episode N (ポケットモンスター ベストウイッシュ シーズン2 エピソードN) have been announced. On Pokémon Smash 118, it was revealed that a renewed version of Become an Arrow! (やじるしになって!) sung by Rica Matsumoto will be the opening theme for the series.

A new ending theme has been announced and Sakura-go-round (サクラ・ゴーラウンド) by Shiritsu Ebisu Chūgaku (私立恵比寿中学) will be the song. The group consists of the following members: Mizuki (瑞季), Rika Mayama (真山 りか), Natsu Anno (杏野 なつ), Ayaka Yasumoto (安本 彩花), Aika Hirota (廣田 あいか), Mirei Hoshina (星名 美怜), Hirono Suzuki (鈴木 裕乃), Rina Matsuno (松野 莉奈) and Hinata Kashiwagi (柏木 ひなた).

Coasters featuring quotes of famous lines spoken by N in the video games will be given away with each purchase over 1500 yen made in the listed periods at the Pokémon Centers in Japan. There are 15 different coasters, each featuring a different N line from the games. There will also be Episode N quizes held in the store for 5 consecutive weeks. If patrons answer correctly, they will win a sticker.

During each of the following periods, patrons get to choose one of these from a set of 5 available coasters every time they make a purchase of over 1500 yen: January 17th, 2013 until January 27th, 2013, January 28th until February 11th, 2013, and February 12th, 2013 until February 24th, 2013. Then, during the period February 25th, 2013 until March 3rd 2013, patrons can choose between all 15. During the entire period, January 17th, 2013 until March 3rd, 2013, there'll also be a photo spot with Satoshi and N and a showing of a special N anime short in the Pokémon Centers.

Finally, starting January 18th, 2013, there'll be a quiz question available in the Pokémon Centers. The answer to the quiz can be found in the next anime episode to air. Then, through the next week, viewers can go to the Pokémon Center and give their answer to the quiz to a staff member there. If it's correct, they get a sticker as a prize.
