Anime news website Animeanime has announced that the upcoming series Pocket Monsters Best Wishes Season 2 Decolora Adventure, which premiers April 25th, will feature an all new opening song: Summery Slope (夏めく坂道) by pop singer Daisuke.



"I am very happy to be able to do a collaboration project with Pokémon, which I've loved since I was a kid", Daisuke says in a comment. "This song is packed to the brim with the exciting emotions of summertime. I want everyone to listen to it as soon as possible."

Like earlier years, Nagoya Railroad (Meitetsu) will be holding a tie-in campaign related to the upcoming Pokémon movie, starting Saturday March 23rd.



The popular 'Pokémon Stamp Rally Along the Meitetsu 2013 Spring', where children can gather stamps from various stations along the line to qualify for prizes, will run from Saturday March 23rd all the way up through Golden Week, ending on Monday May 6th.



Two separate contests will be held.
Those who have gathered at least two of the 7 different stamps are eligible for the 'Extremespeed Award', where 100 winners will be given sets of Pokémon Center merchandise; 20 winners will receive a 'Pikachu Set', while 80 winners will receive a 'Pokémon Center Nagoya Set'.
Those having gathered all 7 stamps will be eligible for the 'Spring Master Award', where 10 winners will receive a Kyurem VS the Sacred Swordsman Keldeo DVD, and 2 winners will receive the grand prize: Giving the departure signal for the train during a special event to be held Sunday July 14th.

Additionally, "The Extremespeed Genesect" (神速のゲノセクト号), a train sporting a design featuring Pokémon from the upcoming movie, will be running throughout the campaign period. A departure ceremony will be held at the Central Japan International Airport Station Sunday March 24th.


In addition, various other tie-in events, like a coloring contest, will be held throughout the campaign period.

McDonalds Happy Set Campaign

McDonalds will also be hosting a movie tie-in campaign next week.
Those buying a Happy Set Saturday March 30th or Sunday March 31st will be given a promotional Extremespeed Genesect: The Awakening of Mewtwo double poster as long as supplies last.

The front side of the poster will feature an Extremespeed Genesect: The Awakening of Mewtwo illustration with a calendar for April, May, June and July, with important dates (start of the ticket preorder period, start of the ticket preorder Mewtwo event download period, and movie premiere date) marked.
The back side will feature a Pikachu and its Eievui Friends illustration and a maze game. Correctly solving the maze makes you eligible to win various tie-in prizes.

The Japanese Pocket Monsters movie site as well as the official Japanese Pokémon wesite have updated with most of the details of the upcoming Movie 16 pre-order ticket distribution. Mewtwo will be distributed to those that pre-order tickets from April 20th, 2013 until July 12th, 2013. The actual distribution will take place from June 20th, 2013 until September 1st, 2013.

Pocket Monsters Best Wishes Season 2 Da! (ポケットモンスター ベストウイッシュ シーズン2 Da!)

Satoshi, Iris and Dent return for the final Best Wishes series entitled: Pocket Monsters Best Wishes Season 2 Da! (ポケットモンスター ベストウイッシュ シーズン2 Da!), short for Decorola Adventure (デコロラアドベンチャー), which will premiere on April 25th, 2013. The series takes place after Episode N and will probably air until an X and Y based anime starts in the late Autumn. The Decorola Archipelego (デコロラ諸島) is the location of the mini-series.

May 16th, 2013: Farewell Mijumaru?! The Road to becoming the Scallsword King! (さらばミジュマル！？ホタチキングへの道) - The episode takes place on Scallsword Island, where many Mijumaru live but Satoshi's Mijumaru is in trouble there.
May 30th, 2013: Rotom VS Professor Okido (ロトムVSオーキド博士！) - Professor Okido encounters the Pokémon Rotom and gets a Rotom?! This episode takes place on M'Toro Island.
June 26th, 2013: Making a Wish to Jirachi! Seven Days of Miracles!! (ジラーチにお願いを！七日間の奇跡！！) - The episode features the legendary Pokémon Jirachi and takes place on Ookina Island.
July 2013: Mystery of the Treasure! Uninhabited Island Adventure! (お宝の謎！無人島アドベンチャー！！) - Eievui and friends will appear on the uninhabited Yashi Island.

Pokémon Scramble U

Corocoro also revealed that Pokémon Scramble U (ポケモンスクランブル Ｕ) will be released in Japan on April 24th, 2013 for 1800 yen. The game will also feature Near field communication (NFC) and players will be able to purchases figures at the Pokémon Center stores and have them appear in game when they place them on the Wii U Gamepad. The figures will also be released on April 24th, 2013 and sell for 200 yen each. Pikachu is one of the seven known figures that will be released. The figures are trainable and players can record their battle information.

Near the end of Pokémon Smash, Shoko-tan revealed that she will be the voice of Nymphia (ニンフィア) in this summer's movie short Pikachu and its Eievui Friends (ピカチュウとイーブイフレンズ). She then drew a picture of Nymphia.

Iris' Kairyu - Data Broadcast Distribution

During Mijumaru's Tweet Corner, the details of Iris' Kairyu were once again announced to remind viewers of its distribution during this weeks episode of Pocket Monsters Best Wishes Episode N. Iris' Kairyu will be distributed on the Japanese Pokémon Global Link through an unlock code provided to viewers that play the Data Broadcast game during BWS2-N 9 - The Plasma Gang's Ambitions! Pokémon Under Mind Control!! (プラズマ団の野望！操られたポケモンたち！！).

The Pocket Monsters Best Wishes Data Broadcast is an additional segment that allows people with a compatible settop to play a game to capture a Pokémon. During the original TV Tokyo airing, the featured Pokémon could be registered in the data broadcast Zukan by correctly answering a question about it as the ending theme plays. Successfully completing the Data Broadcast for this episode gives people an unlock code for Kairyu.


Kairyu (カイリュー) is level 55 and has the ability Multiscale. It knows the following moves: Dragon Rush, Safeguard, Wing Attack and Thunderpunch. It will be distributed to players of the Japanese version of Pocket Monsters Black, White, Black 2 and White 2.

Oha Suta debuted the full trailer for the upcoming movie Extremespeed Genesect: The Awakening of Mewtwo (神速のゲノセクト ミュウツー覚醒). The official movie website also updated shortly after with new information. The trailer showcases the Genesect wrecking havoc in New Tork City until Satoshi and friends intervene and Mewtwo shows up just in time to protect them.

Satoshi, Pikachu and friends visit the metropolis New Tork City. In the middle of the city, Pokemon Hills, a residental area exclusively for Pokemon, and intended to provide them protection and shelter, is just about nearing completion. "ELIMINATE THE ENEMY..." Suddenly, a red Pokémon shows up in Pokémon Hills. It's name is Genesect. They are Pokémon the Plasma Gang revived from a 3 million year old fossil in order to use as a weapon. They have been separated from their former homes, and perceive everyone they see as enemies. Turning towards Satoshi and the others, they fire Techno Blasts from the cannons on their backs at them. ...but just then, someone blocks the attack and saves the group: Amazingly, it's the legendary Pokémon Mewtwo. "These are Pokémon never meant to live in this world... just like I am." Understanding Genesect's grief, Mewtwo confronts them. The two clash together in a massive fight, which tremendous shockwaves shoot through the entire city. And as the battle surpasses the limits of both Pokémon, it develops into the greatest speed battle ever seen! The pampered Thunders, the shy Booster, as well as Showers, Eifie, Blacky, Leafia and Glacia. Everyone loves Eievui and it evolutions, and they all appear here. And Nyarth and Sonansu take part in the story too, as handsome housekeepers!? All is set for an eventful sleepover to begin!

The announcer introduced the show by greeting the audience by saying: "Hello and this week Robert is going to coordinate a farewell party for friends! Stay with us on Pokémon Smash. The cast then greeted viewers by doing a side bow and saying PokéMorning. Golgo then introduced the new segment "Get Presents Through the Pokémon Finale Act" (ポケモン大喜利deプレゼントゲット). Each week, two PokéSma members will be given a question to provide a humorous answer for during the final segment of the episode. Viewers will call in to vote for which of the two they want to perform this skit. (ポケスマメンバー2人のどちらの答えを聞きたいかみんなに電話投票してもらい勝者を決定！). The one who gets the most caller votes wins. The viewers who voted for the winner will then be entered in a lottery where they can win a special poster. (電話投票の勝者に電話してくれた人の中から抽選でポケスマ特製ポスターをプレゼント！). This weeks topic is: "Director Lucario is shouting towards the sunset. But what is he shouting?" (夕日に向かって叫ぶルカリオ部長！一体何を叫んでいる？). Red and Akiyama won the quick round and became this weeks call-ins. Viewers could call in to vote for either.


There was no theme for the Library episode but it did link to the new episode of the week Get Fired Up, Lizardon! VS Kairyu!! (燃えよリザードン！VSカイリュー！！) which featured the return of Satoshi's Lizardon. This weeks Pokémon Library rerun episode was The Lizardon Valley! Till the Day we Meet Again! (リザードンのたに！またあうひまで!!) from the original series. A full summary of that episode is available in the episode guide. Professor Red said his go-to line 'OK! Pokémon Library!' to start the repeat episode.

After the Library episode, the cast reminded viewers were reminded that Get Fired Up, Lizardon! VS Kairyu!! (燃えよリザードン！VSカイリュー！！) would air on Thursday, March 7th, 2013 at 7pm. The International kids then showed up. The preview at the end of the Smash episode showed flashback scenes from some parts of the Library episode which would be featured in the Episode N show. Below is a comparison. Golgo then said a special guest would be appearing shortly. He gave them a hint 'Graduation'(卒業). Robert then introduce the VTR Pokémon Party for a Friend Who's Switching Schools!


Haruka Nakagawa (仲川遥) and Akari Furuta (古田明梨) had contacted the PokéSma team about doing a party for their friends Erina (えりな) and Marika　(まりか) who were moving away and out of their school. Robert agreed and then went to a planning session to figure out what they were going to do at this Pokémon Party.


The author of the book Pokémon Sweets de Happy Party (ポケモン・スイーツ ｄｅ Ｈａｐｐｙパーティ) Souko Tatsumoto （辰元草子） was on hand to help everyone out by planning the party using ideas from her book.

The group consists of the following members: Mizuki (瑞季), Rika Mayama (真山 りか), Natsu Anno (杏野 なつ), Ayaka Yasumoto (安本 彩花), Aika Hirota (廣田 あいか), Mirei Hoshina (星名 美怜), Hirono Suzuki (鈴木 裕乃), Rina Matsuno (松野 莉奈) and Hinata Kashiwagi (柏木 ひなた). They all showed up on set to sing the ending live. They also sang lines that are part of the full version of the song.

Aoni Production announced on Friday February 22nd, 2013 that Chieko Honda (本多知恵子) died due to Multiple myeloma cancer and had been undergoing medical treatment in hospital at the time. She died on February 18th, 2013. She was best known to Pocket Monsters fans as the voice actor for Natane (ナタネ).
