Across the planet, amazing creatures have been discovered—epic nature documentary-style short celebrates more Pokémon discovered in the real world

Featuring narration from the iconic Stephen Fry and an all-new symphonic soundtrack from legendary composer George Fenton

A stunning nature documentary-inspired short has been released to celebrate the next wave of Pokémon appearing in Pokémon™ GO.

From the bright peaks of snowy mountains, to the shadows of the forests, to the bustling city and down into the dark of the oceans around the world, the video pays homage to world renowned nature documentaries as it gradually reveals a variety of Pokémon in their real-world natural habitats—bringing augmented reality one step closer to life.

The animated short is so realistic, viewers may not immediately realise what they’re watching, with the shadows and footprints of the latest Pokémon™ GO characters creating a hyper realistic viewing experience.

The video is narrated by national treasure Stephen Fry with his dulcet tones complementing an original symphonic score by legendary nature documentary composer George Fenton.

This is the third wave of Pokémon to be released for Pokémon™ GO following the game’s hugely successful launch in 2016. Each selection of Pokémon initially appeared in different versions of main series Pokémon games; this latest release includes Pokémon from the games Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire.

The video features some of the newest creatures debuting in Pokémon™ GO, that include cute cheerleader pair Plusle and Minun in a forest along with Mawile and the Bug- and Flying-type Pokémon Masquerain. In the oceans, a huge underwater Wailord makes a big splash, as well as a school of Luvdisc—a heart-shaped and water-dwelling Pokémon—under the shadow of a looming threat as they are passed by a Sharpedo. There are also appearances from the amphibious Mudkip playing in a pool, cold-loving Snorunt on a high mountain and a cityscape with the elegant Pokémon Delcatty.

DETECTIVE PIKACHU COMING SOON TO NINTENDO 3DS

The Pokémon Company International and Nintendo announced Detective Pikachu, a new video game scheduled to release exclusively on the Nintendo 3DSTM family of systems both digitally and at retail on 23 March 2018. An action-adventure title, Detective Pikachu finds the hero of the title – a unique Pikachu in the Pokémon world – partnering with Tim Goodman and searching for evidence and clues to solve a series of cases, whilst also investigating the disappearance of Tim’s father, Harry Goodman.

image image

When he arrives in Ryme City looking for his missing father, little does Tim know he would meet a Pikachu, but more amazingly a Pikachu who he could communicate with. There’s more to this Pikachu than a detective hat – he’s one lovably gruff, tough-talking sleuth, with a taste for good coffee.

image

This Pikachu claims that he worked with Tim’s father, and the two pair up to discover his whereabouts. Together, Tim and Detective Pikachu will encounter a number of mysteries in Ryme City and will need to talk to witnesses and gather their testimony in order to discover the truth. Cases that would be impossible for Tim to solve alone can be cracked with the help of this Pikachu, because he is able to obtain vital clues and information from other Pokémon.

Detective Pikachu includes all the chapters of the 2016 Japan-exclusive Nintendo eShop release, Detective Pikachu – Birth of a New Duo, but adds further content that completes the story. The game features new locations to explore, as well as a colourful cast of both Pokémon and human characters.

For those players who are new to sleuthing and may need some help in uncovering the evidence, Detective Pikachu features an Easy Mode, where the title character will provide handy hints on what to do or where to go next.

A special Detective Pikachu amiibo is also planned for when the game launches. It’s larger than a regular amiibo, and it allows players to view all the Pika Prompts (short video clips) from chapters they have completed, including ones they missed finding earlier. These clips feature Pikachu’s quips and antics – and may even contain a hint.

Sprint has announced that prospective customers that switch to Sprint can get $100 in PokéCoins for signing up for their service.

Sprint Offers Exclusive Gift for Pokémon GO Trainers - Get $100 in PokéCoins FREE When You Switch to Sprint!

To celebrate the introduction of more Pokémon from the Hoenn region in Pokémon GO, Sprint delivers a holiday bonus to Trainers when they sign up for Sprint Unlimited

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. December 08, 2017 - To ring in the holidays and toast the release of 50 more Pokémon from the Hoenn region, Sprint (NYSE:S) is giving the gift of $100 in PokéCoins to anyone who signs up for Sprint Unlimited.

’Tis the season to switch, Trainers! This offer kicks off today, and the math makes sense – $100 equals 14,500 PokéCoins, which gets a Trainer everything they need to maximize their game play and fill up their Pokédex. The $100 in PokéCoins can be exchanged for up to 3,600 Poké Balls, 480 Max Revives, 145 Premium Raid Passes or 96 Incubators.

And it gets even better: When a Trainer (or anyone who appreciates a reliable network and the best value in wireless) switches to Sprint, they can get four lines of unlimited data, talk and text for $25 per month per line and a fifth line free. That means Trainers can play Pokémon GO as much as they like, enjoy HD streaming for video, music and games and get 10GB of mobile hotspot data all for an unbeatable value. Sprint’s unlimited data plan also includes the premier video streaming service, Hulu, and a six-month trial of streaming music with Tidal.

“This is an amazing and valuable gift for all the U.S. Trainers out there,” said Roger Solé, Sprint chief marketing officer. “When you switch to Sprint, you can enjoy all the benefits of Unlimited – including $100 in PokéCoins plus you can watch your favorite TV shows on Hulu and listen to streaming music with Tidal. This holiday season, Sprint is delivering the services you want most from your wireless company.”

Here’s how to get your $100 in PokéCoins from Sprint:
  • Activate a new line of service in a Sprint store.
  • Ask a sales representative for your FREE Pokémon GO gift – $100 in PokéCoins.
  • You will receive a text message with instructions on how to redeem.
Today’s news is part of Sprint’s unique relationship with Pokémon GO. One year ago, Sprint became the exclusive U.S. wireless partner of Pokémon GO and transformed Sprint stores into PokéStops and Gyms. Trainers can visit Sprint stores and engage with the hugely popular location-based game.

The Sprint 4G LTE network covers 306 million people across the U.S., providing game play from Seattle to Miami and everywhere in between. This year Sprint has the most improved network with national average download speeds up 33 percent year-on-year. And in more than 25 of 99 top markets, Sprint’s average download speeds have increased from 40 percent to more than 100 percent.
