During the official Pokémon Sword and Shield - Pokemon Korea Champion Invitational Broadcast (포켓몬스터소드・실드 포켓몬 대한민국 챔피언 초청전 생중계) which was broadcast on YouTube on September 5th, 2020, a serial code to get a King’s Rock in Pokémon Sword and Shield was announced. The code is: K2020CHAMP10NS and it redeemable from September 5th, 2020 until September 6th, 2020 at 23:59. The code can be used worldwide to all players of Pokémon Sword and Shield.


Details about the Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution (극장판 포켓몬스터 뮤츠의 역습 EVOLUTION) event Pokémon distributions were also announced during the stream. The movie which premieres in South Korea on September 30th, 2020 will have 2 serial codes. Players of Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's, Go, Eevee! can get a level 70 Mewtwo that knows the moves Psychic, Shadow Ball, Barrier and Calm Mind. Ash’s Charizard, which is level 50, will be available to players of Pokémon Sword and Shield and knows the moves Flamethrower, Dragon Tail, Slash and Seismic Toss.


An Ancient Mew TCG card as well as a Armored Mewtwo card will also be distributed to promote the movie.

Starting Saturday, September 26th, 2020, a Halloween menu that recreates dishes from Pokémon Café Mix will be available at Pokémon Café! Both the Pokémon Cafe Tokyo and Pokémon Cafe Osaka will serve this Halloween menu from September 26th, 2020 until November 8th, 2020. Pokémon Café Mix can be played on smartphones/tablets and the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite.

On Saturday, September 19th, 2020, Pokémon from the Galar Region and Ball Guy plushies will appear at the Pokémon Center! This time, Galarian Yadon, Dakuma, Wulaosu Single Strike Style and Wulaosu Rapid Strike Style will be available. Plus, there's the Ball Guy plushie! You can change the pose of the Ball Guy plushie to suit your situation. The Pokémon Center Online will start selling them from 10:00 am on September 17th, 2020.
At the Amazon.co.jp Pokémon Store, pre-orders for the items will be starting on September 19th, 2020, and sales starting on September 26th, 2020 but due to the limited number of products available, they may be sold during the pre-order period.

According to SensorTower, Pokémon Masters generated $75 million from player spending in its first year, making it the second highest grossing Pokémon game on mobile behind Pokémon GO.
The App Store accounted for the majority of player spending in the title at $45.4 million or 61 percent of all revenue. Google Play, meanwhile, generated $29.2 million or 39 percent.
During its first year, Pokémon Masters racked up 22.7 million downloads. The U.S. once again led the way, ranking No. 1 with 4.8 million installs, or 21 percent of the total. India ranked No. 2 with 3 million, or 13.2 percent, while Japan rounded out the top three with 2.6 million or 11.5 percent.
Google Play came out on top for downloads share, picking up 12.1 million downloads, or 53 percent of total installs. The App Store accounted for 10.6 million or 47 percent.
