Ran: Me:I's new song Ready Go is going to be the ending theme for it, so the three of us thought we'd answer some questions for you today!

Did anything memorable happen during the recording for the song?
Ran: Since the concept of Ready Go as a song is synth-style sound, we were instructed to sing in a kind of monotone way, like this... and I was focusing so much on that that I kind of ended up singing this pretty long part right before the chorus that goes "one two three four koe..." without drawing my breath at all. We definitely got a great take though, and the song as a whole ended up really good, so we'd be really happy if you'd give it a listen.

Are there any Pokémon you think resemble the members of Me:I?
Ayane: Ran-san resembles... Nyoromo.
Ran: Nyoromo?
Ayane: Yes.
Ran: Nyoromo?! So I'm like Nyoromo, huh?
Ayane: Yeah, you got big and round eyes.
Ran: So that's why I resemble it?
Ayane: And Rinon-chan resembles... Gothimu.
Rinon: Gothimu?
Ayane: Yes.
Rinon: So I'm like Gothimu?
Ran: It really captures her key traits, doesn't it?
Ayane: Her mouth looks really cute, and her eyes are big and round.

Did anything memorable happen during the recording for the song?
Momona: This time around the track had a blend of synthesized... or rather mechanical sounds, so the recording session ended up being the shortest we've ever had.
Shizuku: Oh, you're right.
Momona: I think so, at least. But I seriously only sang like once or twice and that was it, so... while I was recording, I kept kind of wondering how the final result would turn out. However, when I heard the finalized song, that blend of mechanical sounds had given me a voice I had never heard from myself before, and I was really happy with how new and different it sounded.

Are there any Pokémon you think resemble the members of Me:I?
Shizuku: Yes, there's one I think resembles Suzu. I think she really resembles Purin.
Momona: I get it.
Shizuku: Purin has this soft and easygoing vibe to it that really reminds me of her, and they're both really cute.
Momona: It has her member color too.
Shizuku: Right.
Momona: Pink.
Shizuku: That might be part of why it reminds me of her too.

If you could become a Pokémon, which Pokémon would you want to be?
Suzu: Right, so Shi-chan just told me I resemble Purin, and that actually happens to be one of my favorite Pokémon, so...
Shizuku/Momona: Ooh!
Suzu: I like it because it's pink and its bangs, you know, they curl around like this.
Shizuku: Right, they do.

Momona: So with that said, Mega Voltage is the new chapter Me:I have been graciously allowed to handle the ending theme for, but you know, this is still kind of a new chapter for us as well, or rather, we have a lot of growing to do as a girl group, so we feel truly honored to have been given the opportunity to handle the ending theme this time. The Mega Voltage Pokémon anime premieres next week, Friday, April 11th, 2025 at 6:55pm, with a 1 hour special! We've received comments regarding its highlights from Liko's voice actress Minori Suzuki-san, Roy's voice actress Yuka Terasaki-san and Dot's voice actress Yoshino Aoyama-san!

Minori Suzuki, the voice of Liko
Ever since the day Liko first met Nyahoja, she has been growing as a person, continuously pushing herself forward alongside her companions. The new chapter Mega Voltage is a story set one year after the events of Rayquaza Rising, and while it starts off with Liko's life having come to a standstill as she's unsure how she feels about her current situation, all those things she discovered and all those experiences she had on her initial adventures still remain etched into her mind and have definitely made her a better Trainer and improved her bonds with her Pokémon! Join me as we enjoy a mega awesome new adventure the likes of which only these present iterations of Liko, Roy and the others can have! Ready when you are! If you haven't checked out the Pokémon anime yet, make sure to do like the new character Uruto and join Liko and the others this April!

The new chapter Mega Voltage is about to begin, and it will be quite different from the adventures Liko and Roy have had thus far. Their adventures may have begun with them under the protection of the adult members of the Rising Volt Tacklers, but I think the events of Terastal Debut gave them the confidence to set out on their own, and I think that's precisely what this new chapter is all about; The children making their own decisions and their own progress without any adult assistance. Liko, Roy and Dot have grown up just a little, and are now setting off on a new adventure alongside their new companion Uruto in order to restore the truth about the Rising Volt Tacklers. Look forward to it!! Lucario is a Pokémon I have very happy memories of, and while it almost feels like a dream that I get to go on an adventure with one again, I'll also continue to love my precious companions Achigator, Taikaiden, and now also Cap, who I'm currently taking care of for Friede! Please keep an eye on the intense battles to come, which will even feature Mega Evolution!

Mega Voltage is finally about to begin. This is a new chapter that begins with a sudden 1 year timeskip from the slow and careful progress of the previous adventures, and I'm extremely excited to see how it will be received. Liko is somewhat more mature than before, Roy has grown taller, and seeing what Cap is carrying around just brings me to tears. Then there's Dot, who's gone back home; What in the world is SHE up to now? And above all, there's the new character Uruto, a perfect fit for this mega new adventure! What will HE bring to the group? To be perfectly honest, I'm still in shock over how Rayquaza Rising ended, but I still hope you'll all continue to support Liko and the others' decisions and adventures! Ready Go!!!!

It has been announced that the Pocket Monsters TV show (airs on the TV Tokyo Network every Friday at 6:55pm, officially abbreviated "Anipoke") will start a new chapter titled Mega Voltage with the episode airing April 11th, 2025. In addition to a more mature Liko, Roy and Dot, the poster that's been released depicts a young boy named Uruto who's accompanied by a Mega Yamirami.

In addition to Liko, Roy and Dot's partner Pokémon Achigator, Welkamo and Masquernya, the latter which evolved from Nyarote after a fierce battle against the White Zygarde in the episode that aired today the 14th, we can also clearly see an alternately colored Mega Lucario.

In addition, Captain Pikachu appears to be wearing... Friede's goggles?! Not only that, but "Mega Rings" are shining brightly on Roy and Uruto's arms, giving us huge expectations for the roles they're going to play from here on.

April 11th, 2025 will have a 1 hour special depicting Liko and Roy setting off on this new adventure.

In today's episode, Pagogo (Terapagos) transformed into its Stellar Forme. It now attempts to purify the Rakulium with the Six Heroes' help, but... How will this 100 year long battle over the Rakulium go?! The climax of the Rayquaza Rising arc will air next week, just before we plunge into the new chapter.

LIKO (voiced by Minori Suzuki) - A girl whose "mysterious pendant" led to her setting off on an journey.

Liko attends Sekiei Academy in the Kanto region when the MYSTERIOUS PENDANT she was entrusted by her grandmother Diana transforms into TERAPAGOS. In order to grant Terapagos' wishes, she then set off on an adventure to RAKUA as a member of the RISING VOLT TACKLERS.
OFF TO DO TERASTAL TRAINING! In episode 47, Liko battled Bug type Trainer Kaede as her ASSESSMENT TEST. Although she passed, she failed when battling Grusha as her practical application test in episode 63. However, after watching her battle the Explorers, Grusha approved of her skill and declared her to have PASSED THE PRACTICAL APPLICATION TEST.
It turned out that THE ADVENTURER LUCIUS and RYSTAL, who had both reached Rakua in the past, were LIKO'S ANCESTORS, and that Terapagos was Rystal's Pokémon. Liko met Rystal at Terasu Pool, where she was ENTRUSTED TERAPAGOS.
After reaching Rakua, Terapagos' power was used to successfully PURIFY THE RAKULIUM...? One year later, Liko has now seemingly returned to Sekiei Academy, however...?

ROY (voiced by Yuka Terasaki) - A boy who continues his training, dreaming of getting the Black Rayquaza.

Roy is from an island in the Kanto region, where he used to live with his grandpa, the island's elder. After the BLACK RAYQUAZA emerged from the ANCIENT MONSTER BALL he kept as his personal treasure, he sets off on an ADVENTURE, dreaming of getting the Black Rayquaza again.
OFF TO DO TERASTAL TRAINING! In episode 48, he won against THE ARTIST AND GYM LEADER COLZA in his Terastal training assessment test! However, he then failed once in his BATTLE AGAINST LIME. After reexamining his approach to singing, he then challenged her again and PASSED WITH FLYING COLORS!
THE BLACK RAYQUAZA flew out of the "ANCIENT MONSTER BALL" Roy had kept as his personal treasure, and he eventually had his dream of having Rayquaza enter the ancient monster ball through battle come true. However, during Rakua's fall, Rayquaza helped Roy and the others escape; After that, ITS WHEREABOUTS HAVE BEEN UNKNOWN.
Roy has now grown stronger. He continued adventuring for a full year, learning to use Mega Evolution and gaining a new companion in the alternately colored YELLOW LUCARIO!

DOT (voiced by Yoshino Aoyama) - A girl responsible for data collecting who has an abundance of Pokémon knowledge. Has a sharp mind, but is also quite shy.

Dot is the niece of the Rising Volt Tacklers' cook Murdock. She has a career as the POPULAR CONTENT CREATOR GURUMIN, who Liko is a huge fan of as well, and is an acquaintance of fellow content creator NANJAMO.
OFF TO DO TERASTAL TRAINING! In episode 50, she battled her long-time acquaintance NANJAMO for her Terastal training assessment test, where she gave it her all despite struggling due to the type disadvantage. During her practical application test battle against AOKI, Kuwassu EVOLVED INTO WELKAMO. Aoki passed her, acknowledging how much she had grown. Her mother Blanca is an "INTENSE MOM" who's prone to both worrying and getting moved to tears. She once came to the Brave Asagi to take Dot back home, but eventually came to UNDERSTAND HOW DOT FELT THROUGH A BATTLE against her.
After Rakua's fall, Dot went back home to her. After discovering POKÉMON ACTING ABNORMALLY she contacted Roy, however...?

URUTO (voiced by Natsumi Fujiwara) - A boy using Mega Evolution that appeared before Roy.

Uruto is a young boy that appeared before Roy. He's capable of using Mega Evolution, and apparently trained in the Kalos region...?
He has ultimate confidence in his own strength, and sees Roy as a rival as far as the Black Rayquaza is concerned.

Friday is Pokémon Anime Day! There's only... 4 hours left now! Liko has gone back to Sekiei Academy and is now living a student life, and it seems that ever since the decisive battle in Rakua, Pagogo the Terapagos has stayed in its monster ball, never coming out... but then Roy suddenly shows up at school?!

Did anything memorable happen during the recording for the song?
Miu: When I was recording a take of the entire song, not just my own part in it, there's this bit in the "Ready Go" section that goes "Go... Go...".
Keiko: Yeah.
Miu: I originally didn't think I'd actually have to say anything for that bit, figuring it'd just be handled with autotune or something.
Keiko: Oh, I see.
Miu: And that "Go... Go..." like bit has this really unexpected timing to it.
Keiko: Oh right, it was really hard to time!
Miu: I can do it fine now, but when I initially recorded it I kept missing the timing over and over. I'm sorry.
Keiko: Yeah, that bit was kind of difficult.
Miu: I remember thinking "that part's sung, that part'll be autotuned"... It was really difficult.

Are there any Pokémon you think resemble the members of Me:I?
Keiko: Miu-chan... resembles Mew. They're both really tiny and cute.
Miu: So it's not because of the name?
Keiko: Oh. Yeah, those are similar too. As for Kokona, I just realized how much she resembles Sirnight. The way their hair is parted is very similar, isn't it?

If you could become a Pokémon, which Pokémon would you want to be?
Kokona: I'm just talking appearance-wise here, but... I'd really like to become a Kabigon.
Miu: Really?
Kokona: Yeah. Since it's like... squishy, and cute. And it seems like it touches its own stomach and such. So...
Finally, do you have something you want to tell those who are watching this video?
Keiko: First off, I'm really happy to get to work with Pokémon, which I've watched since I was a kid. Ready Go is a very nice song, so please listen to it a lot!

The new Pokémon chapter "Mega Voltage" starts today with a one-hour special! A mega new adventure begins!!

Broadcasting every week from 6:55 pm! The anime "Pocket Monsters" will start airing soon! In this article, we'll introduce you to the Pokémon and characters that will appear in today's episode, as well as comments from the voice actors and director, and other information you won't find anywhere else!


One year has passed since the decisive battle at Rakua. Roy, who continues his adventure with Captain Pikachu, is pursuing the Black Rayquaza who was separated from him a year ago! After receiving a report of a Pokémon behaving strangely, Roy decides to investigate... and there he sees a Kekking that's not acting normal!


▲ Roy has grown up a bit! And it's not just his appearance, there have been big changes to Roy's Pokémon as well......!?


▲ Dot was the one who gave Roy the information about Kekking! But it seems they haven't been adventuring together......?

As Roy is checking out Kekking, a young boy named Uruto appears with a Yamirami! It seems like they've been following Roy...!? The rampaging Kekking looks just like the Pokémon he saw in Rakua, going berserk under the influence of Rakulium...!? Wasn't the Rakulium supposed to have been destroyed......!?

It has been decided that the music duo Yuzu will be handling "GET BACK", the opening theme to the new Mega Voltage chapter of the anime TV show Pocket Monsters (airs on the TV Tokyo Network every Friday at 6:55pm, officially abbreviated "Anipoke") that premieres April 11th. This is an all new song depicting the strong resolve Liko and the others have, and can be heard in part in the newly released trailer.

I feel extremely honored to do an opening theme for Pokémon anime, which is loved all over the world by both men and women, boys and girls of all ages. Yuzu debuted in 1997, the same year the Pokémon anime premiered, so it's a collaboration between "contemporaries" so to speak, which made me feel like we and the show shared a deep bond and a sense of destiny. Something entirely new and unexpected was born between Yuzu and Pokémon as we came together under the banner of Get Back. I hope this song will stay with those who love Pokémon and continue to evolve by their side.

When I first got the news, I was very honored, but honestly also very surprised, wondering if Yuzu was really the right choice for this show. Just the fact that many of the earlier theme songs have been very "poppy", as well as emotionally aligned with the anime, made me think a lot about how well Yuzu would be able to align with the anime, as well as whether Pokémon anime fans would accept our song. Yuzu has filled this opening theme with as much respect for Pokémon as they possibly could, and I hope watching and listening to it will bring you a weekly dose of excitement.

Hello, everyone. This is Natsumi Fujiwara! This time I've been given the opportunity to play Uruto, a Pokémon Trainer with a Yamirami as his partner, who appears in Mega Voltage, the new chapter of the Pocket Monsters TV show! Thank you so much! I look forward to doing my best!

How did you feel when you learned you had been picked for the role?
Surprised... shocked... and happy, I guess. Pokémon is one of those franchises I myself been into since I was a kid; I of course watched the anime, I watched the movies, I played the games back when they were in black and white... So it all made me both surprised and happy at the same time that I got to be part of a franchise that has such a long history. However, it also gave me this strong desire to take on these various challenges. "All right, bring it on!", you know.

What were your initial impression of Uruto, the character you play?
He has this lively feeling to him, as if a fresh wind has blown onto the scene. He has this really intense and child-like attitude towards Roy, which I personally finds makes him a very... well, charming and loveable character.

What were your initial impressions of his partner Pokémon Yamirami?
My initial impressions were among the lines of "It's kinda shady", "Wonder what this guy is up to", "Just what IS this thing anyway?", and the fact that it's both a Ghost type AND a Dark type just made it even more of a shady Pokémon you never quite know what's up to. However, I also got extremely curious how this mysterious Yamirami character met Uruto and what kind of life it's led since then.

Finally, do you have something you want to tell the viewers?
This series has been running for a long time, so my heart is really racing at the thought of getting to join it for the first time as Uruto. I want to bring a new and fun wind to the show, and I hope you'll all watch in excitement at seeing what new adventures will unfold before Roy and the others, as well as Uruto. Best regards! Has been attending Sekiei Academy ever since the decisive battle against the Explorers in Rakua.
Reunited with Roy after finding out he's learned something about Rakulium, but...

MASQUERNYA:
Magician Pokémon, Grass/Dark type.
Liko's partner. Nyarote evolved.
Catches opponents off guard by battling in a deceitful way utilizing its flower bombs.

パルデア地方出身の少女。
ラクアでのエクスプローラーズとの決戦を終えて、セキエイ学園に通っている。
ラクリウムの情報を知ったロイと再会をするが…。

マスカーニャ
マジシャンポケモン / くさ・あくタイプ
リコのパートナー。ニャローテが進化した。
花爆弾を使ったトリッキーなバトルで相手を翻弄する。

PAGOGO (LIKO'S TERAPAGOS):
Terastal Pokémon, Normal type.
Laid dormant in its pendant form for a long time, but turned back into its Pokémon form upon which Liko got it. Has never come out of its monster ball after the decisive battle in Rakua.

The Pokémon Anime booth at AnimeJapan 2025 had plaques with information and production art.

The Exceed section of the Pokémon booth at AnimeJapan 2025 has a big plaque describing the Explorers. The individual character profiles there are just the old ones from the official website (though note that Amethio's has a big "to be replaced" note placed on top of it), but there was an all new description of the organization itself there as well:

EXPLORERS
A mysterious organization led by Amethio's grandfather Gibeon that aimed for the mythical paradise of "Rakua" for a certain reason. After finally making it there, they went head-to-head with the Rising Volt Tacklers over the Rakulium and were eventually defeated by Liko and the others after a fierce battle. After its leader Gibeon then vanished, the former exec Spinel became the Explorers' leader. Spinel, who also became director of Exceed, officially conducts conservation work at Rakua's location Mt. Kumli, but has actually also placed Rakua under his control. What could his goal be...?

RISING VOLT TACKLERS
An adventurer team formed and led by Friede that traveled the world in the airship Brave Asagi, aiming for the mythical paradise of "Rakua". The organization's name comes from its captain Captain Pikachu's desire to have the sky be its limit when "rising" with Volt Tackle. Its initial members were its leader Friede, Orio and Randou. The team was asked by Friede's former teacher Lucca to act as bodyguards for her daughter Liko, and Roy later joined as well. After the decisive battle at Rakua, Spinel's scheme made the Six Hero Pokémon go berserk, and as they attempted to escape Rakua on the airship, they were hit by strong wind, and the leader Friede has been missing ever since...

FRIEDE:
The "Battling Pokémon Professor" Liko and Roy met. A professor who's also good at battling. Went missing in Rakua...?!

CAPTAIN PIKACHU:
Mouse Pokémon, Electric type.
Friede's partner. The captain of the airship. Its nickname is "Cap". Currently travels with Roy while wearing Friede's goggles.

As I watched the video and listened to the cast's passionate thoughts at the stage show, I began to cry. Episodes 18 and 65 are particularly meaningful to me. I'm really happy that the story that I carefully worked on has reached so many people. I'll do my best in the third year as well.

It was announced on the 28th that "Ready Go", the double A-side track from the girls group ME:I's 3rd single MUSE, is going to be the ending theme to the new Mega Voltage chapter of the anime TV show Pocket Monsters (airs on the TV Tokyo Network every Friday at 6:55pm, officially abbreviated "Anipoke") that premieres April 11th. At the same time, an anime edition of the single was announced as well.

The CD jacket for the anime edition features the major Pokémon and characters from the TV show alongside the members of ME:I. A special bonus item for early buyers of the first press limited anime edition of the CD was announced as well; Each customer will receive one half-size unedited photograph (Captain Pikachu hat ver.) on a first-come-first-serve basis as long as supplies last.

When we asked her about this tie-in, MOMONA commented with joy that "Pocket Monsters is a franchise that's beloved all around the world, and which has also been near and dear to me ever since I was born, so it's genuinely like a dream come true to get to be part of it in the form of music by handling an ending theme!" "Pocket Monsters is beloved by both men and women, boys and girls of all ages", she continued, "and I hope that our singing will likewise reach all kinds of people."

Me:I's 3rd single "MUSE" contains 4 songs, and its associated tagline is "My Eternal Muse". This is a double A-side single headlining "MUSE", a song presenting Me:I as people who used to admire others, had their dreams come true, and are now becoming the object of someone else's dreams and admiration, as well as "Ready Go", a song with a memorable retro pop sound that was written specifically to act as an ending theme to the Pocket Monsters TV show. The single has a somewhat nostalgic tune to it and tells a story of Me:I's members that bridges the past and the future. This single lets you enjoy the further growth of Me:I as the group approaches the start of their second year since their initial debut.

Kitagawa: Hello,
Both: we're Yuzu.
Kitagawa: We're going to be handling the opening theme for the Pocket Monsters TV show.

How did you feel when you learned you had been chosen to handle the opening theme?
Kitagawa: Well... We were actually in the middle of a tour we'd started back in October when we received this news, though I remember my initial reaction was thinking about how great an honor it was. And you know, by complete coincidence, Yuzu and Pocket Monsters happen to be... like, contemporaries,
Iwasawa: "Contemporaries", yeah.
Kitagawa: So this made me really happy.
Iwasawa: Likewise.
Kitagawa: Thank you very much.

What were you trying to express through the music and lyrics?
Kitagawa: Right, so it carries the meaning of "GET BACK", as in "Get back something", "Get back to where you started" and the like. Now, "Get" is a very powerful word in the context of Pokémon, and we ourselves are also reflecting on our origins as Pokémon itself is starting over anew, so you know, it also carries this meaning of like "Get back to the basics".
Iwasawa: This time we teamed up with TeddyLoid-kun, with him making the music and us, like... taking responsibility for the two protagonists' sentiments and emotions.
Kitagawa: That's right.
Iwasawa: I was handling Liko,
Kitagawa: Yes.
Iwasawa: And Kitagawa-san wrote Roy's lyrics,
Kitagawa: Yes.
Iwasawa: So we hope you'll enjoy the slight difference in the lyrics between the first and second verses as well.

What kind of Pokémon-related memories do you have?
Iwasawa: I played the video games all the time!
Kitagawa: Oh, that's right.
Iwasawa: Back in the day, recording used to take forever, you know?
Kitagawa: Yeah.
Iwasawa: So I always used to have a Game Boy Color, or a Game Boy Advance or something in my bag.
Kitagawa: That's right, I remember.
Iwasawa: I played through all the various Pokémon games, constantly sitting there leveling up during downtime.
Kitagawa: I see.
Iwasawa: So that's how good terms I am on with the franchise, and how many memories it has given me. Oh, and I've played the new games too, of course! So I'm around Lv. 100. Thank you very much.

Finally, do you have something you want to tell those who are looking forward to the new opening theme?
Kitagawa: This time you're getting a mixture of the 27 year olds Yuzu and Pokémon. Something entirely new and unexpected was born between Yuzu and Pokémon, and we think that resulted in an interesting song. I hope you'll enjoy it alongside us as you watch the anime.
