The official Japanese Pokémon website announced that two Pokémon Store (ポケモンストア) physical locations will open in the summer of 2014. The concept of the stores is to be a "Pokémon Casual Shop" (ポケモンカジュアルショップ), basically an airport kiosk, where people can purchase some of the official Pokémon merchandise available at the Pokémon Centers.


The Kansai International Airport Pokémon Store (ポケモンストア 関西空港店) will open on June 26th, 2014 on the second floor of terminal building 1. It will be open daily from 7:30am to 9:00pm.

The New Chitose Airport Pokémon Store (ポケモンストア 新千歳空港店) will open on July 10th, 2014 on the second floor of the domestic flight terminal. It will be open daily from 8:00am to 8:00pm.

The Pokémon Company International announced that Prismillon will be distributed to players of Pokémon X and Pokémon Y at the Pokémon Center Paris from June 4th, 2014 until June 21st, 2014. This is the 19th variant for Vivillon and this distribution announcement is its worldwide debut. This variants pattern is based on the PokéBall. The Prismillon being distributed is level 12 and knows the moves Stun Spore, Gust, Light Screen and Struggle Bug.

The Tokyo Pokémon Center revealed a poster for a Red Nendoroid (ねんどろいど レッド). Those wishing to purchase it can get pre-order it at any of the Japanese Pokémon Centers or Amazon's Pokémon Store from May 24th, 2014 until June 29th, 2014 for 4500yen plus tax. The full price of 4860yen must be paid in full to pre-order. The release shipping date is September 27th, 2014.

The Red Nendoroid includes:

Red figure parts: 3 Face Parts (表情パーツ3個), 4 arm parts (腕パーツ4個), 5 wrist parts (手首パーツ5個), and 3 leg parts (脚パーツ3個).
Included Pokémon: Fushigidane (フシギダネ), Hitokage (ヒトカゲ) and Kamex (ゼニガメ).
Accessory Items: Pokémon Zukan (ポケモンずか), Monster Ball (モンスターボール), Master Ball (マスターボール) and a Bag (リュック).

It was revealed that the Pokémon Company International will be opening the temporary Pokémon Center Paris (Le Centre Pokémon Paris) from June 4th, 2014 until June 21st, 2014. Fans will be able to purchase official merchandise and be able to see a gallery of unpublished illustrations and sketches. Pikachu will also be present on the weekends for fans to get their picture taken with it. The exact times Pikachu will be present will be announced.

In addition to the exhibition, the Pokémon Center will also provide an interactive space for fans where they can learn how to draw the iconic Pokémon Pikachu.

Paris était l’endroit idéal pour ouvrir ce Centre Pokémon éphémère, puisque les derniers jeux vidéo de la série, Pokémon X et Pokémon Y, sortis l’an dernier et ayant déjà été vendus à 12 millions d’exemplaires dans le monde, sont en partie inspirés de la France.

The official Japanese Pokémon website has revealed that the Pokémon Centers will be giving out Pokémon that can Mega Evolve as presents. From May 10th, 2014 until June 22nd, 2014, 6 different Pokémon will be distributed each week. The Pokémon being distributed come with the Mega Stone associated with that Pokémon to allow it to Mega Evolve during battle. These Pokémon are sure to be popular in Rating Battles on the Pokémon Global Link.

Pokémon Center Battle Championships (ポケモンセンターバトル チャンピオン決定戦)

In addition to the distribution, the Pokémon Center Battle Championships will also be held. Four people were selected as the Elite Four at each store and players can challenge them in the Pokémon Center Battle Championships! Players can put the Pokémon they received in the distribution as part of their team and join in the battles. Further details will be revealed on the official Pokémon website in the future.

The official Japanese Pokémon website has announced that the temporary Pokémon Store Outlet (ポケモンストア アウトレット) will reopen from April 11th, 2014 until July 21st, 2014 at the Mitsui Outlet Park, Sapporo, Kitahiroshima, Japan (三井アウトレットパーク 札幌北広島). The outlet sells original Pokémon Center products at outlet prices. The store will be open daily from 10:00 until 20:00.


The Mitsui Outlet Park outlet store was previously open from December 16th, 2012 until March 3rd, 2013 and was extended to Sunday May 19th, 2013 due to the popularity of the store and to take advantage of Golden Week.

Nintendo has confirmed that a Pokémon Battle TROZEi Download Card (『ポケモンバトルトローゼ』のダウンロードカード) will be available to purchase at participating retail stores across Japan on March 12th, 2014 for 762yen (excluding tax). All Pokémon Centers will also sell the download card.

All 8 Pokémon Center locations in Japan will be distributing Gangar (ゲンガー) and Hassam (ハッサム) to players of Pokémon X and Y. The previous Ghost (ゴースト) and Strike (ストライク) 2013 Christmas Exchange was a very popular event according to the official Japanese Pokémon website. From Saturday February 1st, 2014 until February 28th, 2014 players have a chance to get Gangar and Hassam once again at the Pokémon Centers. This time though instead of trading with a Pokémon Center staff member, players can directly get Gangar and Hassam via a local wireless Mystery Gift.

Gangar and Hassam will be distributed at different times of the day. Each Pokémon is rotated hourly each day during the distribution time period. The table below lists the times and which one is being distributed at that time.

Hassam is level 25, has the OT (親名) Pokesen (ポケセン), has the Ability Swarm (むしのしらせ) or Technician (テクニシャン) and knows the following moves: Metal Claw (メタルクロー), False Swipe (みねうち), Agility (こうそくいどう) and Fury Cutter (れんぞくぎり).

Players can then get the Mega Stones to Mega evolve both Gangar (ゲンガー) and Hassam (ハッサム) during battles.

The Pokémon Centers will be doing a special giveaway campaign between January 11th, 2014 and February 23rd, 2014. The event is being held to commemorate the naming of the Pokémon Holo Caster mascot: By showing a staff member at a Pokémon Center the special Hologram Mail that was sent out to the Holo Caster today to inform of this event, patrons will receive a sticker featuring the mascot, with his name printed on it. The stickers are limited in number, and will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
