From the popular app Pokémon Smile, which helps children get into the habit of brushing their teeth, comes a mysterious and fun tooth brushing educational picture book. Metamo Color Rubbing and playing! Pokémon Brushing Teeth (メタモカラー こすってあそべる! ポケモンはみがき), features a material that changes color with temperature and was used for this picture book.

The secret is that body temperature and frictional heat of touching and rubbing the pages can be used to erase the actual stains on the teeth in the picture, making the reader want to try again and again. In addition, cute Pokémon drawn by popular illustrator Kanahei will cheer you on and praise your work, saying, "You did well!" The content of the book is supervised by the Japan Dental Association, so parents and children can enjoy it with peace of mind.

Comments from a representative of Pilot Ink:
"We hope that children will experience the fun of Metamo Color changing and that this picture book will encourage them to create a habit that brushing their teeth is fun!"

It's been announced that the "Pocket Monsters" anime TV series, which airs on the TV Tokyo Network every Friday at 6:55pm, will have a "Special Winter Arc" set in the Sinnoh region on Friday December 3rd and Friday December 10th, 2021! This arc will see the return of Satoshi's former travelmate Hikari and her partner Pokémon Pochama from "Pocket Monsters Diamond & Pearl"! High resolution pictures from the press release have been added to an Imageboard thread.

A promo picture and a promo video made for this arc have been revealed as well! They give us a premonition of what kind of incident the Legendary Pokémon of the Sinnoh region, Dialga and Palkia, will cause.

Satoshi, Go and Koharu get contacted by Hikari, who tells them Pochama has been abducted by someone. Similar cases of "Pokémon disappearances" have also been occurring all over the Sinnoh region in general! The trio hurry to the Sinnoh region and meet up with Hikari, who tells them that Pochama was apparently abducted by "another Hikari" that looked and dressed just like her...?!

Image

After looking into the matter, the group learns that the Pokémon are being kidnapped by "someone" that come from mysterious holes of light called "gates" that connect to another world, and that these "gates" might have something to do with the Legendary Pokémon Dialga and Palkia! The group leaps into a "gate" in order to get the Pokémon back, but what they encounter on the other side is... another Satoshi?!

Image

In the promo video that's been released, we get to see the Sinnoh region's Champion Shirona, a Rocket Gang that looks different from what we're used to, and a clash between Dialga and Palkia...! A new space-timeless adventure begins!

New Pokémon Trading Card Game: Sword & Shield—Brilliant Stars Expansion to Feature Pokémon VSTAR Gameplay Mechanic

Nov. 3, 2021 — Today, The Pokémon Company International unveiled the new Pokémon VSTAR gameplay mechanic for the best-selling Pokémon Trading Card Game. Pokémon VSTAR will appear in the upcoming Pokémon TCG: Sword & Shield—Brilliant Stars expansion, arriving at participating retailers worldwide on February 25, 2022.

Trainers can look forward to seeing Arceus VSTAR, Charizard VSTAR, Shaymin VSTAR and Whimsicott VSTAR in Sword & Shield—Brilliant Stars. The expansion will also include a special Trainer Gallery subset of 30 cards with artwork featuring fan-favorite Trainers and Pokémon.

Introducing the Newly Discovered Hisuian Forms of Zorua and Zoroark

Image

Hisuian Zorua
Category: Spiteful Fox Pokémon
Type: Normal/Ghost
Height: 2'4" (0.7 m)
Weight: 27.6 lbs. (12.5 kg)

Reborn as a Ghost-Type Using the Power of Spite
These Zorua migrated to the Hisui region after being driven from other lands by humans, who shunned the Pokémon for manifesting uncanny illusions. But the Zorua perished, unable to survive the harsh Hisuian environment and strife with other Pokémon. Their lingering souls were reborn in this Ghost-type form through the power of their malice toward humans and Pokémon.

Disguising Themselves and Feeding on Targets’ Terror
If Hisuian Zorua spot a lone person or Pokémon, the Zorua may appear before them in a guise mimicking the target’s appearance. Unlike the illusions of the previously discovered form of Zorua, these ghostly mimicries are created using spiteful power emitted from the long fur on Hisuian Zorua’s head, around its neck, and on its tail.

Image

Hisuian Zoroark
Category: Baneful Fox Pokémon
Type: Normal/Ghost
Height: 5'3" (1.6 m)
Weight: 160.9 lbs. (73 kg)

Cursed Illusions Erupt Forth from Its Voluminous Coat
The spiteful power emitted from Hisuian Zoroark’s long, writhing fur projects terrifying illusions—and can also inflict physical harm upon foes, damaging their bodies from both inside and out. And the illusions that Zoroark projects have expressions of such utter malice toward every last thing upon this world that those who see them are said to be driven mad by the terror.

A Pokémon with an Unexpected Soft Side
Hisuian Zoroark is ferociously hostile and aggressive toward people and other Pokémon. But it appears to have a compassionate streak for those it considers close or like family.

Usually for those with time on their hands, the form of transportation cost just $0.35 USD, and to many, is the slower, scenic method of travel. From its first stop in Kennedy Town to the last station in Shau Kei Wan, each double-decker tram passes by each of the 180 stations on the Hong Kong Island and is part of the world’s largest fleet of trams at 165 vehicles.

Celebrating 25 years of the trading card game, the custom tram makes its debut just days before HYPEBEAST‘s special activations in Mong Kong and Central. The tram itself takes on a dark design that’s themed on the build-out of the BELOWGROUND pop-up space taking place from October 23 – November 21. Clad mostly in black, HYPEBEAST’s collaborative Pokémon TCG logo in signature yellow along with a 25th-anniversary card pack and smokey Charizard outline add contrast to the tram’s design.

POKÉMON UNVEILS NEW BALLOON FOR MACY’S THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE®

Pikachu and Eevee Team Up in New Balloon Design During Pokémon’s 25th Anniversary Celebrations

Bellevue, Wash.—October 18, 2021—For the first time, two Pokémon will soar through the skies of Manhattan during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade®. The Pokémon Company International and Macy’s, Inc. announced that Pikachu will be joined by Eevee in a new balloon design revealed today. The two Pokémon will be featured on a giant Poké Ball-inspired sled and dressed in cold-weather apparel as they make their way high above the Parade route, helping fans and families welcome in the holiday season.

“Pikachu and Eevee are the perfect ambassadors to represent the fun and joy of Pokémon in this new balloon debuting during the brand’s 25th anniversary year,” said Colin Palmer, vice president of marketing for The Pokémon Company International. “Pikachu remains an icon of the brand, and its annual appearance in the Macy’s Parade has been delighting fans and families for decades. The introduction of Eevee, known for its unique Evolution abilities, is the perfect Pokémon friend to join Pikachu and represent the brand as we look to the future and all of the fun and adventures which are yet to come.”

Pokémon first appeared in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2001, and three versions of a Pikachu balloon have been previously featured. The introduction of Eevee marks the fourth Pokémon balloon and the first time another Pokémon from the global entertainment franchise will join the iconic Electric-type Pokémon. Eevee is a Normal-type Pokémon that’s able to alter the composition of its body to suit its surrounding environment, allowing it to evolve into a greater number of variations than any other Pokémon. Eevee was one of the first 151 Pokémon discovered when the brand launched in 1996 and has become one of the most recognizable Pokémon in the franchise.

“The Pokémon balloon has become a mainstay of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and one which fans and families look forward to year after year,” said Jordan Dabby, producer of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. “As Pikachu prepares to brighten the Parade route for the 21st consecutive year, we’d like to welcome Eevee to the Macy’s Parade as we look forward to them both delighting viewers for many years to come.”

The new balloon is another celebratory moment for Pokémon during its 25th anniversary year. The Pokémon Company International kicked off the massive anniversary campaign at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2020 with a troupe of dancing Pikachu and Pokémon Trainers revealing the logo for the initiative, signaling to fans that it had big plans to celebrate 25 years of Pokémon in 2021. Since then, activations such as P25 Music and new offerings across Pokémon’s portfolio of video games, the Pokémon Trading Card Game, animation, merchandise, and more have been introduced to the brand’s millions of fans around the world.
