Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl are faithful remakes of the Pokémon Diamond Version and Pokémon Pearl Version games, bringing Trainers back to the Sinnoh region, where they will meet Professor Rowan, battle against Team Galactic, and explore the Grand Underground. For those setting out through Sinnoh for the first time, plenty of new encounters and surprises await.

The all-purpose Pokétch

Image Image

The Pokétch is a handy gadget players receive on their in-game journey that’s loaded up with various apps. This all-purpose tool has apps for all sorts of situations, such as the Dowsing Machine app, which can be used to locate hidden items. In Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl, the Pokétch also allows players to call on wild Pokémon to help them out by using hidden moves like Cut to chop down obstructive trees or Rock Climb to scale steep cliffs.

Have fun with Pokémon in Amity Square

Image

Amity Square in Hearthome City is a relaxing place where Trainers can spend time with their Pokémon. They’ll be able to walk with up to six of their Pokémon at a time, so long as they are among the list of Pokémon permitted in the park. While inside Amity Square, players can also adjust the camera angle and zoom level to take commemorative photos and videos with their Pokémon. Photos can be taken by pressing the Nintendo Switch system’s Capture Button, while short videos can be recorded by pressing and holding it.

Make some Poffins!

Image Image

Poffins are snacks that can raise Pokémon’s conditions, such as Coolness or Cuteness. By raising these conditions, players can get higher scores during the Visual Evaluation of Super Contest Shows. In Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl, it was only possible to make Poffins in the Poffin House, but now players can make them in Amity Square as well.[1]

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl will be released on November 19, 2021. Both games are currently available for preorder, with special early purchase bonuses available.[2]

Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Image

Pokémon Legends: Arceus brings players to the vast Hisui region. This is the Sinnoh region as it existed in the past, long before the familiar towns and cityscapes of Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl were established. Rich in nature and with Mount Coronet towering at its heart, this is a Sinnoh unlike anything players have experienced before, and they’ll embark on a journey to complete the region’s first Pokédex.

Your Arc Phone will be your guide

Image

Early on in the adventure, players will get a device called the Arc Phone. Its distinctive appearance might lead one to suspect it has some connection to the Mythical Pokémon Arceus. This device seems to contain some sort of strange power, and it will apparently help guide players on their journey.

Special Pokémon with mysterious power

During their expeditions, players may run into Pokémon that are larger than normal and have glowing red eyes. These are known as alpha Pokémon. They’re stronger than their regular counterparts, and they’ll be quite aggressive in chasing and attacking players that stray too close.

There are also special Pokémon in the Hisui region that have received some kind of mysterious blessing. Some of these Pokémon are particularly powerful and have come to be known as nobles, while others are said to willingly assist the people of the region. Each one of these Pokémon seems to hold power not held by regular Pokémon. People known as wardens are tasked with looking after these Pokémon by performing duties such as making sure the nobles’ territories remain unviolated or providing offerings of food and water.

These Pokémon nobles are revered by the people of the region, but some strange phenomenon is now causing them to suddenly fly into a frenzy. The cause of these incidents is still shrouded in mystery. Once frenzied, these Pokémon are incredibly difficult to rein in, which forces the people of Hisui to turn to the Galaxy Expedition Team for help. As part of the Survey Corps, you will be called upon to quell the frenzies of the nobles.

Image

Kleavor
Category: Axe Pokémon
Height: 5ʹ11″
Weight: 196.2 lbs.
Type: Bug/Rock

Special minerals found in the Hisui region cause Scyther to evolve into this Pokémon. Parts of its body have hardened into stone. The stone parts often get chipped during fierce battles, and Kleavor that have survived many battles will display larger chipping across their bodies. It is said that the people of Hisui once used pieces of stone that had fallen from Kleavor to craft tools.

Race across sprawling untamed landscapes while riding Pokémon

During their adventures, players will receive a Celestica Flute. This is a mysterious instrument that has been passed down through generations of Hisui’s people. Play the flute anywhere to summon special Pokémon that will let you ride them. Riding these Pokémon will allow players to move faster on land or cross bodies of water or even soar through the skies.

  • Wyrdeer: Wyrdeer has powerful, sturdy legs, and riding upon it will allow players to gallop across the land at great speed and jump to leap over obstacles.
  • Basculegion: Basculegion can carry players on its back, allowing for travel across bodies of water. Basculegion is also able to launch itself from the water’s surface, letting players leap effortlessly over obstacles in their way.
  • Hisuian Braviary: Hisuian Braviary will let players soar through the skies. From up in the air, players will also be able to get a good look at what kinds of Pokémon live down below and what kinds of items might be found.

Check out the facilities of your home base, Jubilife Village Players can prepare for their survey work at Jubilife Village, and there are also facilities that can help make the adventure even more fun.[3]
  • The clothier and hairdresser: Players can mix up outfits and hairstyles at the clothier and the hairdresser to choose their look.
  • The photography studio: Players can take pictures alongside their Pokémon at the photography studio.
  • The general store and craftworks: If players used up their items on a previous excursion, they can replenish their supplies at the general store. They can also use in-game currency to buy new crafting recipes and materials from the craftworks.
  • The pastures: The pastures are where players can leave Pokémon that have been caught. Many Pokémon will need to be caught to complete the Pokédex, but only six Pokémon can be taken along in a party. Players will want to choose the right Pokémon for each mission before heading out on surveys. At any of the various base camps, players can change which Pokémon they have in the party or send Pokémon to the pastures.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus will be released on Friday, January 28, 2022. It is currently available for preorder.

A message from the UNITE team!

Since the release of Pokémon UNITE on Nintendo Switch™, the team has enjoyed reading through all of the experiences our players have had during their adventures on Aeos Island. The topics, the details, the strategies—there’s so much even we’ve learned about our game by listening to the conversations our players have been having. Every piece of feedback has been valuable to us, whether it was constructive criticism or complimentary. We’re proud to have created an experience that has resulted in so much enthusiasm, particularly as we invite a new audience to the world of UNITE with tomorrow’s mobile launch of the game.

For both new and returning players, we’re thrilled to share some of the game updates that tomorrow also brings:

  • Full cross-platform play and account linking across mobile devices and Nintendo Switch. Link an account, and play with the same account across both platforms.
  • New in-game events in which you can get super item enhancers that can upgrade a held item to grade 30. We’ve also made it easier for all Trainers to get item enhancers.
  • New held items to introduce fresh strategies.

  • A second battle pass, which will feature all-new cosmetic items, including new Holowear with special visual effects.

Trainers can anticipate new battle passes, themed events, and other compelling content to make Pokémon UNITE even more fun and rewarding. Additionally, we’re developing a new mode of play designed to level the playing field for all Trainers, regardless of their held items’ grades.

We’re dedicated to making every Unite Battle as fun and engaging as possible, and the changes above represent some of the many ways we’re working toward that goal. We look forward to continuing to hear our players’ reception and feedback as we work with all of you toward an experience that all fans can enjoy. Deep within the Forest of Okoya, the Mythical Pokémon Zarude live in a troop and maintain a strict rule that forbids outsiders from entering their territory. Elsewhere in the jungle lives Koko, a human boy raised by a lone Zarude who left the troop. Koko has grown up never doubting that he is a Zarude. But one day, a chance meeting with Ash and Pikachu leaves Koko with his first human friend. Is he truly a Pokémon? Or is he, in fact, a human? When danger threatens the jungle, the bonds between Pokémon and human—and the love between parent and child—will be put to the test.

To further celebrate the announcement, beginning today, Trainers will be able to receive Dada Zarude and Shiny Celebi—both as featured in the movie—in their Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield games by signing up for Pokémon Trainer Club email notifications. Trainers who register in this way by September 25, 2021, will receive a Pokémon Trainer Club email containing a distribution code for both Pokémon on October 7, 2021.

Fans can also look forward to a crossover with Pokémon GO celebrating the global launch of “Pokémon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle” on Netflix. More details will be announced soon. In the meantime, fans can visit the official movie website at zarude.pokemon.com and join the conversation online with #Pokemon25.

“POKÉMON EVOLUTIONS” ANIMATED SERIES REVEALED FOR POKÉMON’S 25TH ANNIVERSARY

Eight-Episode, Web-Exclusive Series Premieres Sept. 9

The eight-episode series will take fans on a journey through all the known regions of the Pokémon world explored in the popular core video game franchise since it launched 25 years ago. Throughout 2021, The Pokémon Company International has invited fans on a retrospective journey of these regions and the Pokémon originally discovered in them. Like the retrospective, the series will begin in the Galar region, most recently explored in the latest video games Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, and culminate in the Kanto region, originally explored by players in the first games from the franchise, Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green in 1996. Each episode will focus on a story from a different region in reverse chronological order from which they were first explored in the games: Galar, Alola, Kalos, Unova, Sinnoh, Hoenn, Johto, and Kanto. Familiar tales from Pokémon lore will be told from a fresh perspective in every episode.

“‘Pokémon Evolutions’ is both an exciting new collection of animation for the brand and a thank-you to the millions of fans around the world who have joined us on this journey over the past 25 years,” said Colin Palmer, vice president of marketing for The Pokémon Company International. “Each region has been a touchstone for new generations of Pokémon Trainers as the brand has grown, and we wanted ‘Pokémon Evolutions’ to pay homage to that legacy while also being innovative and contemporary. It’s a new adventure and familiar all at once. And, with the last episode set in Kanto, ‘Pokémon Evolutions’ is a meaningful way to end our anniversary celebrations in the place where it all began for Pokémon 25 years ago.”

“Pokémon Evolutions” is being produced by The Pokémon Company International in collaboration with OLM Studios and will premiere exclusively on the official Pokémon YouTube channel and Pokémon TV worldwide on the following dates:

Thursday, Sept. 9: “The Champion” featuring the Galar region
Thursday, Sept. 23: “The Eclipse” featuring the Alola region

LOUANE DEBUTS NEW SONG AND VIDEO – “GAME GIRL” – IN COLLABORATION WITH POKÉMON TO BE RELEASED ON AUGUST 27

Track Is Featured on ‘Pokémon 25: The Album’ Compilation, Set For Autumn 2021 Release on Capitol Records

Louane Joins P25 Music Lineup Alongside Katy Perry, Post Malone, J Balvin, Mabel, and More To Be Announced

Pokémon’s 25th anniversary celebration continues with the upcoming release of “Game Girl,” a new song from Island Def Jam recording artist Louane, who recorded it exclusively for the upcoming P25 Music compilation album. With its fun and infectious melody, the bilingual song describes the journey we all take through life with a friend or a partner as we figure out what’s right for us and how to be the best version of ourselves. It was written by Louane for the occasion, composed and produced by P3gase and mixed by Josh Gudwin.

The vibrant official video for “Game Girl” shows Louane surrounded by larger-than-life colors and backdrops meant to transport the viewer into her over-the-top imagination influenced by the ever-evolving world of Pokémon.

“Louane is an exciting addition to the growing roster of talented artists from around the world helping us celebrate 25 years of Pokémon,” said Colin Palmer, vice president of marketing, The Pokémon Company International. “‘Game Girl,’ with its French and English lyrics, is not only an amazing pop anthem for Pokémon Trainers, but also represents the global resonance of Pokémon with international fans.”

“Pokémon was one of my earliest childhood memories! I fell in love with Ash at first sight!” said Louane. “I didn’t hesitate at all when asked to join the P25 Music Program. It was really inspiring to have the opportunity to write a story based on what I experienced as a kid.”

Louane is the most recent artist to join the P25 Music Program alongside UK singer, Mabel, and American artists Vince Staples and Cyn—all of whom released original tracks earlier this month for Pokémon 25: The Red EP. EDM artist ZHU remixed those tracks for Pokémon 25: The Blue EP. The program also includes, Katy Perry, who contributed her original song, “Electric,” Post Malone, who put his own stamp on the Hootie & the Blowfish hit “Only Wanna Be With You” and J Balvin.

Pokémon 25: The Red EP – FEATURING SONGS BY VINCE STAPLES, CYN and MABEL – OUT TODAY

ZHU Remixes All Three Tracks For Pokémon 25: The Blue EP, Out Later This Month
The Dual Releases Honor a Pokémon Tradition As 25th Anniversary Celebration Continues

Three new artists have joined Pokémon’s 25th anniversary celebration: Vince Staples, Cyn and ZHU. Staples and Cyn contribute exclusive new songs to Pokémon 25: The Red EP, which was released today. Available HERE, the EP also features Mabel’s song “Take It Home,” which was unveiled last month. View Pokémon 25: The Red EP visualizers on YouTube HERE.

Reflecting the longstanding tradition of dual releases for the core Pokémon video game series, with each featuring nuanced differences from the other, and paying homage to the original Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue video games, Pokémon 25: The Blue EP will follow later this month. It will feature remixes of The Red EP songs by GRAMMY-nominated recording artist ZHU, who is fresh off the release of his third album, DREAMLAND 2021, and a sold-out, six-night stand at Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

The songs from The Red EP will appear on the upcoming P25 Music compilation album, which will be released this autumn by Capitol Records as part of a massive, yearlong music campaign from The Pokémon Company International in partnership with Universal Music Group. ZHU’s remixes will be included on the digital edition of the album. Vince Staples, Cyn and ZHU take their places alongside fellow P25 artists Katy Perry, Post Malone, J Balvin, and Mabel.

On the atmospheric, melodic “Got ‘Em,” Vince Staples faces life’s challenges head-on, drawing inspiration from iconic Pokémon characters Mew and Raichu. Staples recently released his self-titled, fourth album out now via Blacksmith Recordings/Motown Records. Garnering positive reviews from Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, NPR Music and NME among others, the LP debuted as the No. 1 Current Rap Album and landed at No. 21 on the Billboard 200 Chart week of release. Staples is also currently working on bringing his dramedy, The Vince Staples Show, to Netflix.

“I’ve always been a fan of Pokémon, so it was particularly special to be asked to take part in this 25th anniversary celebration," said Vince Staples. “I’m excited for people to hear ‘Got 'Em,’ and hope the song resonates with fans, especially those who grew up with Pokémon like I did.”

Cyn – who is signed to Katy Perry’s Unsub Records and recently contributed two songs to the soundtrack for the Oscar-winning film Promising Young Woman – offers up “Wonderful,” a shimmering song that celebrates friendship and the joy of being alive.

Cyn shares, “I am so excited to release one of my favorite songs I’ve ever written, ‘Wonderful,’ in celebration of 25 years of Pokémon! This song is special to me because I feel it comments on growing pains while also emphasizing a destination of grace and a beautiful journey to it— eggs hatch when they want to or in other words, when they are ready. When I wrote this song, my newborn baby son was in the room— I can hear the influence of becoming a new mother in the music, it will always ring special for me.”

“The Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue video games introduced the world to Pokémon 25 years ago and we wanted to recognize that important part of the franchise in our 25th anniversary celebrations within the P25 Music campaign,” said Colin Palmer, vice president of marketing, The Pokémon Company International. “Pokémon fans will appreciate the nod to the first Pokémon video games with these EPs, while music fans will enjoy new songs and remixes from exciting artists on these dual collections.”

The Red EP kicks off with “Take It Home,” an original song from BRIT Award recipient Mabel. PAPER Magazine noted, “to say it’s a bop would be a complete understatement…‘Take It Home’ is packed with bright and buoyant beats.” The official video, People Magazine observed, “finds the star chasing Jigglypuff into a Wonderland-style dreamworld full of colorful ensembles and pop star choreography.”

About Mabel

Image

In the last year or so alone, Mabel has won the BRIT Award for Best Female Solo Artist, surpassed four billion streams and 2.2 million adjusted album sales for first album, High Expectations – the biggest-selling debut by a British woman in 2019 – and added to her formidable catalogue of smash hits like “Don’t Call Me Up” with three more top 10s under lockdown. Futuristic, fearless and feel-good, her first single of 2021, “Let Them Know,” marked the unmistakable arrival of a new era and mindset for Mabel. If High Expectations documented a coming-of-age (and the fact you may actually spend a lifetime figuring it all out), her new material finds Mabel emboldened with experience. Her girl-next-door candor remains, but in embracing dance music’s generational ethos of expression, liberation and inclusion, you witness a woman moving firmly to her own beat. The Guardian hailed Mabel as a “warrior queen” and Vogue praised her as “unflinchingly honest, earnestly positive, and resolutely single-minded.”

About Cyn

Image

It's not every day that the girl next door winds up being signed by one of the world's biggest pop stars, but that once-in-a-lifetime scenario is exactly what happened when Cyn, who was born and raised in Detroit, met Katy Perry during a chance encounter. Katy fell head over heels for her voice, and quickly signed her to Unsub Records and publishing. Cyn now lives in Los Angeles, where she has devoted herself to writing over 400 songs, released a 7-song EP titled Mood Swing and has had original songs featured on award winning major motion picture soundtracks, including her songs “Uh Oh” and “Drinks” for the Oscar-winning film, Promising Young Woman. “Drinks” broke at Top 40 radio this past summer and has amassed over 20 million global streams to date. Billie Eilish added it to her Apple Music radio show, “me & dad radio,” and Rolling Stone hailed it as a “Song You Need To Know.” “Drinks” is also featured on the soundtrack for the new HBO Max series “Gossip Girl.” Cyn is the recipient of the 2020 ASCAP Songwriters Hall Of Fame scholarship and has big plans for 2021.

About Vince Staples

Image

Ever since Vince Staples introduced himself to the hip-hop world in 2014, he’s been known as a documentarian, filing first-person accounts of his teenage and 20-something days in Long Beach, California over booming beats that seesaw from edgy to spirited. Generally a private person, friends would often tell Vince that they learn new information about him through his music, encouraging him to reveal even more about himself. When he began to dig in and create his forthcoming album, the follow-up to his critically acclaimed 2018 album FM!, the award-winning rhymer took that into consideration. The result is Vince Staples, a tight project entirely produced by Kenny Beats. The self-titled 10-track album delves not only into his upbringing in Long Beach, but his psyche as he learns to cope with his yesterdays and strides toward new tomorrows, picking others up along the way. This album is intentional and melodic - an expression of a Vince Staples who knows what he wants and what he has. Vince Staples is just the beginning of Vince’s busy 2021. He’s currently working on bringing his dramedy, “The Vince Staples Show,” to Netflix, two new podcasts and a graphic novel with Z2 comics.

About ZHU

Image

ZHU is ready to move again. Most of his third album, DREAMLAND 2021, was made at home during quarantine, but as the GRAMMY-nominated musician and producer crafted the new set’s grimy techno and sweaty house tracks, he imagined the record as the score to a world starting to spin back into motion. He celebrated its release with an unprecedented sold-out, six-night run at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO. ZHU was honored with a Best Dance Recording nomination at the 2014 GRAMMYs for his breakout hit “Faded.” His debut album GENERATIONWHY topped Billboard's Dance/Electronic albums chart and landed on the Billboard 200, and he’s had dozens of tracks hit the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart. These accolades have earned him partnerships with like-minded brands including Luminosity and Leica. He continued his productive streak in 2020 with a series of singles—including “Only” with Tinashe, “Desire” with Bob Moses, and the Kito and Jeremih collab “Follow”—and a string of live-streams for Digital Mirage, Insomniac, and Lollapalooza. But all of this success has never been the point—ZHU just wanted to head to the dancefloor and dream up better worlds. DREAMLAND 2021 basks in that impulse. He imagines everyone united under one roof raving—a party with enough energy to take over the whole world.
