Summary:

Despite being one of the most popular Rocket Gang songs for the entire anime series, the song made its ending debut in Pocket Monsters Best Wishes Season 2 even though the song was almost 15 years old at that time. Rocket Gang Forever was the second ending song used in Best Wishes Season 2 and it replaced Mitemite kotchitchi (みてみて☆こっちっち).

The original airing of BWS2 13 was the only time this ending was used as the Hulu Japan version confirmed the same day this episode originally aired that Mitemite kotchitchi would actually be in the syndicated version. The TV Tokyo schedule on their website also stated that Mitemite kotchitchi was to be the ending theme for the original airing of the episode.

The ending features brief clips of the Rocket Gang's appearances throughout the entire anime series. The ending starts off with the wanted poster from the second episode of the anime series. A bunch of Nurse Joy's Pikachu's from that episode then shocks the Rocket Gang. The scene from Sonansu and the Pokémon Trade Meet!! where Wobbuffet makes its debut with the Rocket Gang is the next clip that is shown.

The scene from the Advanced Generation episode Manene Enters! House of Relaxation! showing Kojiro leaving his Chirean with elderly caretakers at his old vacation home near Saffron City and then Manene joining him is displayed. The next major scene features Musashi releasing her Dokucale and destroying its monster ball in the Diamond and Pearl episode Sayonara Dokucale!.
