New episodes of the Pocket Monsters anime air Thursday evenings at 6:55PM JST and new episodes of the variety show Pokénchi air Sunday mornings at 8:00 AM JST on TV Tokyo in Japan. Pokémon airs Saturday morning at 9 AM EST and every Saturday and Sunday evening at 7:30 PM on Disney XD in the United States. Pokémon the Series also airs every weekday at 4 PM. Pokémon airs Saturday's at Noon EST on Teletoon in Canada. XY8 TCG Expansion Details - 'BREAK Evolution' Revealed

The official Japanese Pokémon TCG Website has announced details and revealed new cards that will be in the upcoming XY8 expansion set Blue Shock (青い衝撃) and Red Flash (赤い閃光) which will be released in Japan on September 26th, 2015.


This expansion introduces a new game mechanic called BREAK Evolution (BREAK進化) which allows players to evolve an in-play card with a gold bodied evolution version. The card is placed horizontally on top of the current in-play card unlike the previous evolutions in the chain which are still completely covered.


BREAK Evolution Rule (BREAK進化のルール)

BREAK Evolution inherits the previous [Pokémon]'s "Moves, Abilities, Weakness, Resistance, Retreat Cost".

A Furo promo card will available nationwide in Japan starting on September 26th, 2015 to those that buy 2 boxes (40 booster packs) of the XY8 expansion Blue Shock / Red Flash. Details of this card have been added to our TCG dex.

Pokémon Tretta Ultimate Set 4: Hyperspace Fury! Hoopa's Transformation

The 18th Pokémon Tretta expansion set has been announced as Pokémon Tretta Ultimate Set 4: Hyperspace Fury! Hoopa's Transformation (アルティメット4弾 いじげんラッシュ!フーパ変幻) and the update will be available in Japanese arcades starting September 17th, 2015. Hoopa makes its Forme changing appearance in this set as a ULTIMATE class tretta and a the Legendaries Thunder, Fire, and Freezer are also available as Master Class tretta's.

The official Pokémon Global Link website has announced a new tournament for players of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire called the Pokémon Global Link Corocoro Challenge (ポケモングローバルリンク コロコロチャレンジ). Details of the tournament are listed below.

Tournament Period: Friday, September 25th, 2015 through Monday, September 28th, 2015
Max number of participants: 50 000
Ranking Results Announcement: October 6th, 2015
Player divisions: Elementary Schoool Division: Born April 2nd, 2003 or later
Compatible Games: Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire
Battle Type: Double Battle
Banned Pokémon: Players could use any Pokémon from the National Pokédex 0 - 720 except for Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Celebi, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Deoxys, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Victini, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Keldeo, Meloetta, Genesect, Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde, Diancie, and Hoopa Pokémon brought over from Pokémon Black, Pokémon White, Pokémon Black 2, or Pokémon White 2 via Poké Transporter could not participate in this competition.

The top 32 players from the East competed in the Corocoro Challenge East Champion Decision Tournament which took place on November 8th, 2015 at Pacifico Yokohama and the top 32 players from the West competed in the Corocoro Challenge West Champion Decision Tournament (コロコロチャレンジ 東日本王者決定大会/西日本王者決定大会) which took place at Osaka Intex on November 15th, 2015. The winners of the tournaments were invited to the Champion Decision Tournament (王者決定大会) held in December 2015.

The competition used the Double Battle format and players could register 4 to 6 of their level 1–100 Pokémon to their Battle Box. Pokémon automatically became Level 50 during battles. A 15-minute time limit for each match was automatically enforced in-game, beginning at the start of each battle. If the outcome had not been determined when the time limit expired, the game automatically applied tiebreakers to determine a winner. At the beginning of each battle, players had 90 seconds to select their Pokémon to battle with. At the beginning of each turn, players had 45 seconds to select a move or change Pokémon in battle. If a player had not made his or her selections at the end of this period, the game automatically made selections for the player. Players could battle up to 10 games per day of the competition. Any unplayed games would carry over to the following day.

The official Japanese Pokémon website has revealed details on the upcoming TV special "The Strongest Mega Evolution ~Act IV~".

The Strongest Mega Evolution ~Act IV~ will air this fall! What is this green, Pokémon-like thing that appeared in the trailer for next year's Pokémon movie!?

A special episode of the currently airing, popular anime "Pocket Monsters XY", titled "The Strongest Mega Evolution ~Act IV~", will air this fall! Incredibly, the green Pokémon-like thing that appeared in the trailer for next year's Pokémon movie has also been confirmed to appear! What kind of role will it play in the story? Play close attention to the upcoming information!


Alan's journey in pursuit of becoming the strongest once again takes him to the Kalos region. Wanting to become even stronger, he bets his Mega Ring and Mega Stone on being able to defeat 10 Mega Evolution users in a row.
Alan throws himself into battle. Manon is worried sick about Alan. And Manon's partner, Hari-san the Harimaron, meets a mysterious being. It all leads up to something seriously major...

A celebrity in the Kalos Region working for Fleur-de-lis Labs.
He gave Alan his Mega Ring and Mega Stone and told him to become stronger if he wanted to protect the people important to him.
It appears he's conducting research on Mega Evolution energy and the Kalos Region's legends, but......?

A member of the Kalos Region's Elite Four, her partner is a Hellgar.
She and her mega evolved Mega Hellgar stand blocking Alan and Mega Lizardon X's way.
She has the appearance of a news anchor, but is also apparently on friendly terms with Fleur-de-lis!

They even battle Zumi of the Kalos Region's Elite Four's Mega Kamex....

Also, on their journey they encounter the newbie Trainer Manon and end up traveling together with her.
