Satoshi and his friends meets Zoey again during their journey, and from Nozomi, Dawn learns that the next Contest will be held in Zui Town. Together with Nozomi, Hikari begins the Contest training. However, her Buizel seems to be more interested in Satoshi's battle training and thus can't set its mind on Hikari's training; meanwhile Ash's Eipam appears to have a similar problem in Satoshi's training because it tends to be more interested in Hikari's Contest training. Then Nozomi proposes that Satoshi and Hikari try exchanging the two Pokemon as a trade...

{nl}Get ready for the battle of a lifetime as Pokemon Battle Revolution launches across Europe on Wii! Pokemon characters will be moving to the big screen as Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl fans copy their prized collections to Pokemon Battle Revolution and take part in the ultimate battle challenge. {nl}

{nl}Unfortunately for the Pokemon fans in Europe, Pokemon Battle Revolution's launch is almost a year since it was released in Japan and about 8 months since it was released in North America. The game is practically old news now not to mention the fact that the game received very poor reviews.{nl}

{nl}{nl}{nl}{nl}{nl}
{nl}

Pokemon Battle Revolution launches in Europe almost a year after Japan

{nl}With stunning 3D graphics, ten Colosseums to battle through, as well as the ability to take on friends and other fans via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, this is one game Pokemon fans won't want to miss. Pokemon Battle Revolution launches on Wii on 7 December 2007 across Europe.{nl}

{nl}Set in Poketopia with ten Colosseums to enjoy, Pokemon Battle Revolution gives fans the chance to battle with their carefully nurtured and trained Pokemon collection obtained in Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl. And it couldn't be easier to copy them as players simply connect their Nintendo DS to Wii via the consoles wireless connection and then set off to battle it out.{nl}

{nl}Once players have copied their Pokemon from Pokemon Diamond or Pokemon Pearl they are issued with a Custom Pass. The Custom Pass is one of the three kinds of Battle Passes that can be encountered in the game. Players without Pokemon Diamond or Pokemon Pearl haven't been forgotten! One of the other passes, the Rental Pass, brings them in on the action. All Battle Passes contain both Trainer information and Pokemon data and whether using a Custom Pass or a Rental Pass, this is the fans all-access-pass to the greatest fictional theme park ever!{nl}

{nl}In Pokemon Battle Revolution, all of the battle modes give fans the opportunity to truly put their Pokemon battling skills and knowledge to the ultimate test. Colosseum Mode sees fans take part in Colosseum Battles and Free Battles against the console or friends, and in the Wi-Fi section players can take part in amazing Wi-Fi Battles against Pokemon Battle Revolution owners anywhere in the world using the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Service. And if battling across the globe isn't enough, Friend Passes can be swapped at the end of the battle if both parties agree. Use the Friend Pass in Free Battle and see how good your friend's team really is! Also, if the player and up to three friends have a Nintendo DS and a copy of either Pokemon Diamond or Pokemon Pearl, they can take advantage of the unique DS Battle Mode, which lets them battle on the big screen using their Nintendo DS as a controller.{nl}

{nl}Players can take their pick from two Collesseums in Collosseum Battlle to start with, but if they successfully defeat the Opponent Trainers and Colosseum Leaders, the adventure continues as new challenges and other spectacular Colosseums become available. Reap the rewards of victory and then spend the hard-earned Poke Coupons in the shop. Is the base character not trendy enough? Maybe he or she doesn't look like a big enough Pokemon fan for you. It's time to take customizing to the extreme! Splash out on items to customize your base character in any way you like. You need more incentive? Then take advantage of the connectivity between Wii and Nintendo DS and send useful items to Pokemon Diamond or Pokemon Pearl.{nl}

{nl}Pokemon Battle Revolution comes into its own with the Wi-Fi Mode. Take on friends in 'Battle a Friend' or the rest of the world in 'Battle Someone' by connecting Pokemon Battle Revolution to the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Either way, fans will never get bored of Wi-Fi Battles. This is where you really discover whether your Pokemon Trainer skills and knowledge are up to scratch or not.{nl}

{nl}With Colosseum Leaders, friends and other Pokemon rivals from around the world to compete with, Pokemon Battle Revolution is a great stage to become the ultimate Pokemon Trainer, and it all takes place on the big screen! It is time to polish off your skills, so get collecting and training in Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl, available now on the Nintendo DS for an estimated retail price of 35 pounds / 50 Euros, and prepare for full battle as Pokemon Battle Revolution launches across Europe on Wii on 7 December 2007 for an estimated retail price of 35 pounds / 50 Euros. {nl}

IGN Interviews J. C. Smith, the Director of Marketing for Pokemon USA about the Pokemon TFG

{nl}It might be hard to believe, but Pokemon has been out in the United States for nearly 10 years. It seems just yesterday that Pikachu, Ash, Misty and Brock invaded our televisions, Game Boys and… well, then every other consumer product category known to man. But through all of this, the actual games derived from the franchise have been somewhat limited. Until just recently, there were two primary elements - the videogames and the collectible card game. Just a few weeks ago Pokemon USA added a third tier to its strategy - the Trading Figure Game (TFG). Drawing upon the core elements of its predecessors, this game uses small figures depicting various creatures and trainers to simulate the battles that have become so addictive to millions across the globe.{nl}

{nl}{nl}{nl}{nl}{nl}
{nl}

It's just as addictive and collectible as the videogame franchise. Welcome to an entirely new Pokemon addiction.

{nl}by Richard George
{nl}There are two things about this game that you need to understand before you render any judgment. First, it's addictive. We hadn't considered the TFG (mainly due to time constraints) until Bozon came to us, praising the game endlessly. We gave it a shot. He was right - it's incredibly addictive despite being easy to learn (keep in mind that there's just a base set out - as you'll read below, there are plans to evolve the mechanics). The second key thing here is that these figures are absolutely stellar. We're sure many of you have picked up figurine games only to be a bit depressed by the somewhat messy interpretations of characters you know and love. Not so with this Pokemon game. Not only do the creatures and trainers look absolutely perfect, many of them come in incredible poses, featuring some great "element type" effects. Check out some of our pictures in the article and gallery to see what we mean.{nl}

{nl}To gather more information on the game, ranging from its mechanics to future plans, we chatted with J. C. Smith, the Director of Marketing for Pokemon USA. IGN will have plenty more on the TFG as time rolls on, so stay tuned for more!{nl}{nl}

{nl}IGN Comics: What led Pokemon USA to tackle a trading figure game? What experience does this offer that the trading card game does not?{nl}

{nl}J.C. Smith: Collectors and players alike have been asking for a Pokemon figure game for a long time; we're just now able to give them a game that we feel meets Pokemon's high-quality standards of collectability and gameplay.{nl}

{nl}IGN Comics: Where can fans purchase the Pokemon TFG?{nl}

{nl}Smith: The Pokemon Trading Figure Game is available at major retail stores such as Target, Wal*Mart and Toys 'R' Us, as well as local game stores.{nl}
