It's been announced that the "Pocket Monsters" anime TV series, which airs on the TV Tokyo Network every Friday at 6:55pm, will have a "Special Winter Arc" set in the Sinnoh region on Friday December 3rd and Friday December 10th, 2021! This arc will see the return of Satoshi's former travelmate Hikari and her partner Pokémon Pochama from "Pocket Monsters Diamond & Pearl"! High resolution pictures from the press release have been added to an Imageboard thread.

A promo picture and a promo video made for this arc have been revealed as well! They give us a premonition of what kind of incident the Legendary Pokémon of the Sinnoh region, Dialga and Palkia, will cause.

Satoshi, Go and Koharu get contacted by Hikari, who tells them Pochama has been abducted by someone. Similar cases of "Pokémon disappearances" have also been occurring all over the Sinnoh region in general! The trio hurry to the Sinnoh region and meet up with Hikari, who tells them that Pochama was apparently abducted by "another Hikari" that looked and dressed just like her...?!

Image

After looking into the matter, the group learns that the Pokémon are being kidnapped by "someone" that come from mysterious holes of light called "gates" that connect to another world, and that these "gates" might have something to do with the Legendary Pokémon Dialga and Palkia! The group leaps into a "gate" in order to get the Pokémon back, but what they encounter on the other side is... another Satoshi?!

Image

In the promo video that's been released, we get to see the Sinnoh region's Champion Shirona, a Rocket Gang that looks different from what we're used to, and a clash between Dialga and Palkia...! A new space-timeless adventure begins!

Candice and Abomasnow

Volkner and Luxray
Gym Leader Volkner of the Sunyshore City Gym uses Electric-type Pokémon, with Luxray heading his team. He’s said to be the strongest Gym Leader in the Sinnoh region, but he’s grown bored by a lack of tough challengers, so he spends his time constantly remodeling the Gym.

Introducing the Newly Discovered Hisuian Forms of Zorua and Zoroark

Image

Hisuian Zorua
Category: Spiteful Fox Pokémon
Type: Normal/Ghost
Height: 2'4" (0.7 m)
Weight: 27.6 lbs. (12.5 kg)

Reborn as a Ghost-Type Using the Power of Spite
These Zorua migrated to the Hisui region after being driven from other lands by humans, who shunned the Pokémon for manifesting uncanny illusions. But the Zorua perished, unable to survive the harsh Hisuian environment and strife with other Pokémon. Their lingering souls were reborn in this Ghost-type form through the power of their malice toward humans and Pokémon.

Disguising Themselves and Feeding on Targets’ Terror
If Hisuian Zorua spot a lone person or Pokémon, the Zorua may appear before them in a guise mimicking the target’s appearance. Unlike the illusions of the previously discovered form of Zorua, these ghostly mimicries are created using spiteful power emitted from the long fur on Hisuian Zorua’s head, around its neck, and on its tail.

Image

Hisuian Zoroark
Category: Baneful Fox Pokémon
Type: Normal/Ghost
Height: 5'3" (1.6 m)
Weight: 160.9 lbs. (73 kg)

Cursed Illusions Erupt Forth from Its Voluminous Coat
The spiteful power emitted from Hisuian Zoroark’s long, writhing fur projects terrifying illusions—and can also inflict physical harm upon foes, damaging their bodies from both inside and out. And the illusions that Zoroark projects have expressions of such utter malice toward every last thing upon this world that those who see them are said to be driven mad by the terror.

A Pokémon with an Unexpected Soft Side
Hisuian Zoroark is ferociously hostile and aggressive toward people and other Pokémon. But it appears to have a compassionate streak for those it considers close or like family.

Greedent is now available in Pokémon UNITE and it is a useful Melee Defender but it can also unleash unorthodox attacks against opponents in battle.

pic

Greedent Now Available in Pokémon UNITE

Add this berry useful Melee Defender to your team, and get ready to belly flop the competition.

Prepare to stash, eat, and wield Berries in Pokémon UNITE, as Greedent is now available to join your team. This Berry-consuming Pokémon is a Melee Defender, and it's ready to unleash its unorthodox attacks against your opponents in battle. This Pokémon begins each match as Skwovet, which will evolve into Greedent at Lv. 5.

An essential feature of Greedent's gameplay and attacks is that it stashes Berries in its tail, later utilizing these Berries to help power attacks and restore HP. Each of Greedent's moves involves consuming, dropping, or stashing Berries.

Greedent's basic attack becomes a boosted attack with every third attack, dealing increased damage when it hits and causing one Berry to drop from Greedent's tail. Greedent's Ability, Cheek Pouch, allows it to recover HP by eating a Berry, in addition to gaining the usual effects of the Berry. At the same time, Greedent stealthily stashes another Berry in its tail. Whenever Greedent is hit, whether by a single attack or a combination of attacks, it will drop a Berry from its tail.

Skwovet and Greedent's Moves

At Lv. 1 and Lv. 3, Skwovet can learn Tackle and Defense Curl.

Tackle has Skwovet leap to a designated area, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon in the area of effect and decreasing their movement speed for a short time. If Skwovet has any Berries hidden in its tail, it will consume all of them. The more Berries it consumes, the more Tackle's cooldown period is reduced.

Defense Curl grants Skwovet a shield for a short time and also drops a Berry in front of Skwovet.

When Skwovet reaches Lv. 5 and evolves into Greedent, Defense Curl can be upgraded into one of two moves: Stuff Cheeks or Covet.

Stuff Cheeks has Greedent drop several Berries, which it can then eat to recover HP. If Greedent's recovered HP exceeds its maximum HP, that extra HP will be converted into a shield effect. If Greedent catches sight of a Berry while using this move, its movement speed is increased for a short time. Stuff Cheeks can be upgraded to increase the number of Berries Greedent drops from its tail.

Covet has Greedent run with all its might, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon it hits and throwing them. While running, Greedent drops Berries from its tail. If Greedent eats a dropped Berry, its movement speed is increased for a short time. The more Berries Greedent eats, the faster it will move. Additionally, the move Belch or Bullet Seed can also be used while running. Greedent can also utilize the move Tackle while Covet is active, slightly changing the attack so that Greedent does not leap to a designated area. Instead, while Greedent is running, Tackle deals damage to opposing Pokémon in front of it. Covet can be upgraded to increase the damage it deals and increase the frequency at which Greedent drops Berries.

At Lv. 7, Tackle can be upgraded into one of two moves: Bullet Seed or Belch.

Bullet Seed has Greedent spit Berry seeds in a designated direction. This deals damage to opposing Pokémon in the area of effect and decreases their movement speed for a short time. The more Berries Greedent has stashed away, the more damage this move deals. Bullet Seed can be upgraded to increase the damage it deals.

Belch deals damage to opposing Pokémon in the area of effect and decreases their movement speed for a short time. If Greedent has any Berries stashed in its tail when using this move, it consumes all of them. The more Berries Greedent consumes, the more this move's cooldown period is reduced. Belch can be upgraded to increase the damage it deals.

Greedent's Unite Move, Berry Belly Flop

To truly throw the opposition, make use of Greedent's Unite Move, Berry Belly Flop, which it learns at Lv. 9. This area attack kicks off with Greedent eating a Berry to recover HP. Greedent then leaps to the designated area, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon in the area of effect and throwing them. Greedent then eats a special Berry, which allows it to stash an unlimited number of Berries in its tail for a short time and also resets the cooldowns of its other moves.

Greedent is ready to be a berry useful Defender to your team. Belly flop on over to the Unite Battle Committee shop to get Greedent's Unite license now.

A spooky Halloween event is on its way to Pokémon UNITE! Get ready to scare up a good time from October 20th, 2021 to November 7th, 2021, and treat yourself to some Halloween fun!

pic

Halloween Brings Pumpkins to Pokémon UNITE’s Mer Stadium

Toss pumpkins at your opponents in these fun new battles, and collect pumpkins to exchange for limited-time items and Holowear.

You'll find pumpkins aplenty in Pokémon UNITE with the arrival of Aeos Island's Halloween celebration. From October 20, 2021, to November 10, 2021, the game will feature all sorts of tricks and treats, including a fun new take on Mer Stadium battles, special bonuses that earn you pumpkins, and festive new ways to deck out your Trainer and your Pokémon. And don't be surprised if the game looks a little spookier than usual, too!

Pumpkin Attack

You'll certainly notice a big change when you play a quick battle in Mer Stadium. Now during a match, the battle item button controls your Pumpkin Toss. Tap this button, and you'll lob a pumpkin that covers the opposing Pokémon for a short time. Just be aware that you can hit your teammates as well, and they can do the same to you, so be ready to dodge incoming produce!

While a Pokémon is covered with a pumpkin, it's unable to score points and it moves by bouncing, which increases its speed. Although pumpkined Pokémon can't use their normal moves, they do have access to a special move called Pumpkin Tackle. This dash can be used to smack into opposing Pokémon and push them aside, as well as flee from trouble.

If that doesn't get you pumped, participating in Mer Stadium's festive battles can also earn you collectible pumpkins that can be exchanged for limited-time Halloween items. Mer Stadium will be decked out for Halloween only until November 7, so play as many matches as you can before then.

Pumpkin Bonuses

There are also other ways to earn pumpkins. From October 20 to November 7, there'll be daily log-in bonuses, and from October 29 to November 2, you'll be able to complete daily missions to collect even more. These pumpkins can be used in the Pumpkin Exchange to get items such as Battle Point boost cards, a Greedent Unite license, a Halloween background, a Halloween hat, and more.

There will also be Halloween-themed items available in the shop. Look for spooky fashion items to dress your Trainer in—plus limited-time Pokémon Holowear, including Costume Party Style: Lucario and Costume Party Style: Zeraora.

The Pumpkin Exchange and Halloween shop items will be around only until November 10, so don't wait to scare up some style.

There's certainly a lot of to do in Pokémon UNITE this Halloween season, so go grab those gourds!
