The Shiseido Global Innovation Center (S/PARK) will hold the Harada Tadashi Collaborative exhibition BEAUTY EXPANSION with Pokémon Shirts from Friday October 15th, 2021 to Saturday, October 30th, 2021. (Closed on Sundays). For this exhibition, Shiseido's top hair and makeup artist Tadashi Harada will showcase his work in collaboration with Pokémon Shirts, a service that allows you to order your very own Pokémon shirt.
Harada has not only done hair and make-up for collections and advertisements, but has continued to take on the challenge of various beauty expressions such as visualizing popular manga and characters. Harada's unique expression and works have been highly regarded, and he collaborated on the Pokémon Shirts key visuals, in which he challenged himself to visualize the Pokémon characters Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza in hair, makeup, and fashion.
In this exhibition, the process of completing the Pokémon Shirts key visual will be shown, from image sketches to displays of hair wigs and hair pieces, as well as an original making-of video. Furthermore, as the exhibition is held within the Shiseido Global Innovation Center, Shiseido researchers will also be exhibiting scientific expressions of the key visuals from various perspectives as an initiative to allow visitors to familiarize themselves with cosmetics research technology. During the exhibition period, the S/PARK Cafe in the same facility will sell original red, blue, and green drinks inspired by Harada's works, and the S/PARK Museum will sell a limited edition booklet of Tadashi Harada x Pokémon Shirts and Pokémon acrylic key chains.
Contents of Exhibition
The world's largest Crystal LED display system, as of April 2019, on the first floor will display for the first time Harada's original and powerful collaborative video with Pokémon Shirts. Cornish, a composer and music producer who has created music for many popular TV programs and animations, including Pokémon, and is an artist with a unique sensibility and a wealth of novelty that he sublimates with his outstanding skills, has created a piece of music inspired by the key visual. The music is inspired by the key visuals and is used in the video. The design and styling of the Pokémon Shirts will also be exhibited.
Conisch recently composed the music for the animation Pokémon Twilight Wings (series of animation started from Jan 2020 inspired by the world-renowned Pokémon video games) which is gaining excellent reputation. His album released at the beginning of 2020 "ONKAN Episode1" is a collaborative work with a well-known sculptor Junkyu Muto and well-received as an innovative attempt of harmonising art and music.
The BEAUTY EXPANSION booth on the second floor is a space where visitors can "relive" Tadashi Harada's creations with their five senses. The exhibition shows the process of creating a key visual work inspired by the Pokémon shirt and the Pokémon characters Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza. From October 15th, 2021 to October 23rd, 2021, life-size LED panels of the key visuals will also be displayed.
In addition, Shiseido's researchers have created an exhibition that expresses the key visuals through science from a variety of perspectives. Using the key visuals created by Harada as a source of inspiration, fragrance research will present the creation of fragrances, sensitivity research will present explanations of texture and sensation, and psychological research will present the results of psychological verification of music created by composer and music producer Cornish. In addition, from psychological research, the results of psychological verification of a song by composer and music producer Cornish are presented.
Online Streaming
On Wednesday, October 20th, 2021, a live performance without an audience featuring composer/music producer Cornish, Harada, and Shiseido researchers, as well as scenes from the exhibition will be broadcast on the Shiseido official YouTube channel (free of charge).

Sylveon has arrived in Pokémon UNITE on October 5th, 2021 at 5:00pm PT, along with the Poncho Style Holowear and a matching Trainer outfit! Sylveon is a playful Ranged Attacker is ready to scorch, smooch, and stare down opponents.
Sylveon Frolics Its Way into Pokémon UNITE
Get ready to scorch the competition in Pokémon UNITE, as Sylveon is now available to join your team. This Pokémon is a Ranged Attacker, and it’s ready to stare opponents into submission. Sylveon begins each match as Eevee, and it will evolve into Sylveon at Lv. 4.
Eevee’s basic attack becomes a boosted attack with every third attack, dealing increased damage when it hits. When Eevee evolves into Sylveon, its boosted basic attacks will also increase its movement speed for a short time when they hit. Eevee starts out with the Ability Adaptability, which increases Eevee’s Sp. Atk for a short period whenever it deals or receives damage. When Eevee evolves into Sylveon, Adaptability becomes Pixilate, which increases Sylveon’s Sp. Atk and Sp. Def for a short time whenever it deals or receives damage.
Sylveon’s Moves
At Lv. 1 and Lv. 2, Eevee learns Swift and Baby-Doll Eyes. Swift is an attack that shoots star-shaped rays at opposing Pokémon, dealing damage to them. When using Baby-Doll Eyes, Eevee stares at an opposing Pokémon, dealing damage and decreasing the opposing Pokémon’s Attack and movement speed for a short time when the move hits.
When Eevee reaches Lv. 4 and evolves into Sylveon, Swift can be upgraded into one of two moves—Mystical Fire or Hyper Voice.
Mystical Fire has Sylveon create four small flames while it advances in a designated direction. The flames shoot toward opposing Pokémon one by one, dealing damage and decreasing the opposing Pokémon’s Sp. Atk for a short time when they hit. Each time a flame hits, it reduces this move’s cooldown period. This attack can also be upgraded to increase the number of flames by one.
Hyper Voice unleashes multiple sound waves that deal damage when they hit. The damage they deal increases the farther the target is from Sylveon. Every time a sound wave hits, the next sound wave’s damage increases. Like Mystical Fire, this attack can also be upgraded to increase the number of sound waves by one.
At Lv. 6, Baby-Doll Eyes can be upgraded into either Draining Kiss or Calm Mind.
When Sylveon uses Draining Kiss, it blows a kiss at an opposing Pokémon. The kiss moves between Sylveon and the opposing Pokémon multiple times. When the kiss touches Sylveon, it restores Sylveon’s HP, and when the kiss hits an opposing Pokémon, it deals damage to it and decreases its movement speed for a short time. Draining Kiss can also be upgraded to increase the amount of HP it restores Sylveon.
Calm Mind has Sylveon quietly focus its mind and calm its spirit to increase its Sp. Atk, Sp. Def, and movement speed for a short time. An upgrade to Calm Mind allows Sylveon to completely nullify the damage of an opposing Pokémon’s move. This nullification can occur only once each time Calm Mind is used, and if it is successful, Sylveon gains a shield afterward.
Sylveon’s Unite Move, Fairy Frolic
Show the opposition just how invincible you are with Sylveon’s Unite Move, Fairy Frolic, which it learns at Lv. 8. This attack sends Sylveon leaping into the air, rendering it temporarily invincible. The moment Sylveon lands, it deals damage to opposing Pokémon in the area of effect and restores its own HP. For a short time afterward, a percentage of the damage Sylveon deals is converted into HP for Sylveon’s own benefit.
Sylveon is ready to scorch opponents and kiss the competition good-bye. Frolic on over to the Unite Battle Committee shop to get Sylveon’s Unite license today!
Mamoswine Mashes Its Way into Pokémon UNITE on September 29th, 2021. Mamoswine is a tank of a Pokémon that's ready to freeze opponents in their tracks.
Mamoswine Mashes Its Way into Pokémon UNITE
Get ready to ice out the competition in Pokémon UNITE, as Mamoswine is now available to join your team. This powerhouse Pokémon is a Melee Defender, and it’s ready to carry its weight in any battle. This Pokémon begins each match as Swinub, and it evolves into Piloswine at Lv. 6 and Mamoswine at Lv. 10.
Mamoswine’s basic attack becomes a boosted attack with every third attack, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon and leaving them frozen for a short time when it hits. In addition, Mamoswine’s basic attacks deal increased damage for a short time to opposing Pokémon it has frozen with one of its moves. Furthermore, due to Mamoswine’s Ability, Thick Fat, every time the Pokémon deals damage, its Defense and Sp. Defense are increased for a short time (up to three times), and when Mamoswine uses Ice Shard, Icicle Crash, or Ice Fang, its next basic attack becomes a boosted attack. If any of those three moves creates a freezing area of effect inside an ally goal zone, it decreases the goal-scoring speed of opposing Pokémon inside that goal zone.
Now let’s look at Mamoswine’s available moves.
Mamoswine’s Moves
At Lv. 1 and Lv. 3, Swinub can learn Ice Shard and Tackle. Ice Shard is a ranged attack that hurls three chunks of ice at a designated location, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon in the area of effect and decreasing their movement speed for a short time. Tackle is a dash attack that has Swinub rush recklessly in a designated direction, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon it hits and throwing them.
When Swinub reaches Lv. 6 and evolves into Piloswine, Ice Shard can be upgraded into one of two moves—Icicle Crash or Ice Fang.
Icicle Crash is an area attack in which Piloswine drops icicles on a designated location, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon in the area of effect and decreasing their movement speed for a short time. The final icicle shatters after a set amount of time or when hit by Piloswine’s other moves or boosted attacks, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon in the area of effect and leaving them frozen. This attack can later be upgraded to increase its damage.
Ice Fang uses Piloswine’s cold-infused fangs to throw the opposing Pokémon that’s closest to Piloswine, dealing damage and leaving the Pokémon frozen for a short time. Piloswine can then choose a direction to slam the thrown Pokémon forward or backward, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon in the area of effect and leaving them frozen for a short time. This attack can be upgraded to increase the area of effect.
At Lv. 8, Tackle can be evolved into one of two moves—High Horsepower or Earthquake.
High Horsepower is a dash attack that causes Piloswine to rush recklessly in a designated direction, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon it hits and shoving them. Piloswine then stomps its feet, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon in the area of effect and leaving them unable to act for a short time. The move can be upgraded to increase Piloswine’s rushing speed and the length of time opposing Pokémon are left unable to act.
The other move, Earthquake, has Piloswine leap in a designated direction and land forcefully, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon in the area of effect and pulling them toward Piloswine. The move can be upgraded to decrease the movement speed of opposing Pokémon for a short time when the move hits and increase the move’s pulling power.
Mamoswine’s Unite Move, Mammoth Mash
To truly crush the opposition, make use of Mamoswine’s Unite Move, Mammoth Mash, which it learns at Lv. 10. This area attack has Mamoswine jump to a designated location and become immune to hindrances. Mamoswine then repeatedly stomps the ground, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon in the area of effect and decreasing their movement speed for a short time with each stomp. The final stomp throws opposing Pokémon in the area of effect.
Mamoswine is ready to stomp the competition and defend your team. Crash on over to the Unite Battle Committee shop to get Mamoswine’s Unite license now.
The Pokémon Company International and Nintendo have revealed more details for Pokémon Brilliant Diamond, Pokémon Shining Pearl, and Pokémon Legends: Arceus, including all-new trailers.
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl are faithful remakes of the Pokémon Diamond Version and Pokémon Pearl Version games, bringing Trainers back to the Sinnoh region, where they will meet Professor Rowan, battle against Team Galactic, and explore the Grand Underground. For those setting out through Sinnoh for the first time, plenty of new encounters and surprises await.
The all-purpose Pokétch
The Pokétch is a handy gadget players receive on their in-game journey that’s loaded up with various apps. This all-purpose tool has apps for all sorts of situations, such as the Dowsing Machine app, which can be used to locate hidden items. In Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl, the Pokétch also allows players to call on wild Pokémon to help them out by using hidden moves like Cut to chop down obstructive trees or Rock Climb to scale steep cliffs.
Have fun with Pokémon in Amity Square
Amity Square in Hearthome City is a relaxing place where Trainers can spend time with their Pokémon. They’ll be able to walk with up to six of their Pokémon at a time, so long as they are among the list of Pokémon permitted in the park. While inside Amity Square, players can also adjust the camera angle and zoom level to take commemorative photos and videos with their Pokémon. Photos can be taken by pressing the Nintendo Switch system’s Capture Button, while short videos can be recorded by pressing and holding it.
Make some Poffins!
Poffins are snacks that can raise Pokémon’s conditions, such as Coolness or Cuteness. By raising these conditions, players can get higher scores during the Visual Evaluation of Super Contest Shows. In Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl, it was only possible to make Poffins in the Poffin House, but now players can make them in Amity Square as well.[1]
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl will be released on November 19, 2021. Both games are currently available for preorder, with special early purchase bonuses available.[2]
Pokémon Legends: Arceus
Pokémon Legends: Arceus brings players to the vast Hisui region. This is the Sinnoh region as it existed in the past, long before the familiar towns and cityscapes of Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl were established. Rich in nature and with Mount Coronet towering at its heart, this is a Sinnoh unlike anything players have experienced before, and they’ll embark on a journey to complete the region’s first Pokédex.
Your Arc Phone will be your guide
Early on in the adventure, players will get a device called the Arc Phone. Its distinctive appearance might lead one to suspect it has some connection to the Mythical Pokémon Arceus. This device seems to contain some sort of strange power, and it will apparently help guide players on their journey.
Special Pokémon with mysterious power
During their expeditions, players may run into Pokémon that are larger than normal and have glowing red eyes. These are known as alpha Pokémon. They’re stronger than their regular counterparts, and they’ll be quite aggressive in chasing and attacking players that stray too close.
There are also special Pokémon in the Hisui region that have received some kind of mysterious blessing. Some of these Pokémon are particularly powerful and have come to be known as nobles, while others are said to willingly assist the people of the region. Each one of these Pokémon seems to hold power not held by regular Pokémon. People known as wardens are tasked with looking after these Pokémon by performing duties such as making sure the nobles’ territories remain unviolated or providing offerings of food and water.
These Pokémon nobles are revered by the people of the region, but some strange phenomenon is now causing them to suddenly fly into a frenzy. The cause of these incidents is still shrouded in mystery. Once frenzied, these Pokémon are incredibly difficult to rein in, which forces the people of Hisui to turn to the Galaxy Expedition Team for help. As part of the Survey Corps, you will be called upon to quell the frenzies of the nobles.
Special minerals found in the Hisui region cause Scyther to evolve into this Pokémon. Parts of its body have hardened into stone. The stone parts often get chipped during fierce battles, and Kleavor that have survived many battles will display larger chipping across their bodies. It is said that the people of Hisui once used pieces of stone that had fallen from Kleavor to craft tools.
Race across sprawling untamed landscapes while riding Pokémon
During their adventures, players will receive a Celestica Flute. This is a mysterious instrument that has been passed down through generations of Hisui’s people. Play the flute anywhere to summon special Pokémon that will let you ride them. Riding these Pokémon will allow players to move faster on land or cross bodies of water or even soar through the skies.
Wyrdeer: Wyrdeer has powerful, sturdy legs, and riding upon it will allow players to gallop across the land at great speed and jump to leap over obstacles.
Basculegion: Basculegion can carry players on its back, allowing for travel across bodies of water. Basculegion is also able to launch itself from the water’s surface, letting players leap effortlessly over obstacles in their way.
Hisuian Braviary: Hisuian Braviary will let players soar through the skies. From up in the air, players will also be able to get a good look at what kinds of Pokémon live down below and what kinds of items might be found.
Check out the facilities of your home base, Jubilife Village
Players can prepare for their survey work at Jubilife Village, and there are also facilities that can help make the adventure even more fun.[3]
The clothier and hairdresser: Players can mix up outfits and hairstyles at the clothier and the hairdresser to choose their look.
The photography studio: Players can take pictures alongside their Pokémon at the photography studio.
The general store and craftworks: If players used up their items on a previous excursion, they can replenish their supplies at the general store. They can also use in-game currency to buy new crafting recipes and materials from the craftworks.
The pastures: The pastures are where players can leave Pokémon that have been caught. Many Pokémon will need to be caught to complete the Pokédex, but only six Pokémon can be taken along in a party. Players will want to choose the right Pokémon for each mission before heading out on surveys. At any of the various base camps, players can change which Pokémon they have in the party or send Pokémon to the pastures.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus will be released on Friday, January 28, 2022. It is currently available for preorder.
The producer of Pokémon Masters Yu Sasaki posted an open letter about the game on the Pokémon Master's official website. The letter addresses the upcoming changes to the game including:
A Message from the Pokémon Masters EX Team (Vol. 25)
Greetings, Trainers. We’re the producers of Pokémon Masters EX, Yu Sasaki and Tetsuya Iguchi, here with a new message for you.
Today, we’ll focus on details about the newest arc of the Main Story—the Villain Arc—as well as a new kind of story event.
App Update for Late September
Main Story UI Update - To coincide with the September 29, 2021 release of the newest arc of the Main Story—the Villain Arc—the UI for the Main Story menu has been updated.
The First Chapter of the Villain Arc Begins!
On September 29, 2021, the new Main Story arc—the Villain Arc—will begin. As we mentioned in previous messages, this arc focuses on various villainous organizations of the Pokémon series.
The Kanto chapter, which is the first chapter of this arc and is set to release on September 29, 2021, brings you the schemes of Team Rocket and Giovanni, who also appeared in the prelude. By completing the Kanto chapter, including the Hard battles, you’ll receive enough Tickets for two uses of the 5★-Guaranteed Kanto Ticket Scout as rewards, so we hope you give it a try.
As for our Villain Arc plans going forward, we hope to bring you periodic chapters for different villains of the Pokémon series. The next update is scheduled for the end of this year.
Each chapter will be stand-alone, so you can enjoy them in any order, but the developments and conclusions of each chapter will ultimately come together in the end.
Also, alongside these updates, we’re going to start another story that’s based on a certain character. This story will be different from the chapters that focus on each region. We’re planning to release a portion of this particular story before the update at the end of the year, so we hope you look forward to it.
Villain Event: Spreading Shadows Begins!
In the Villain Arc, events that are separate from the Main Story updates will also be held.
You can already raise Giovanni & Mewtwo to 6★ EX during the ongoing event, but as the main reward of future Villain Events, you’ll be able to strengthen Sync Pairs from legendary events that come from the same titles as the villainous Sync Pair featured in the event.
In this event, which will be happening at the same time as the Villain Arc’s Kanto chapter, you can strengthen Giovanni & Mewtwo even more. By collecting Mewtwo Crystals from the event, you can have Mewtwo become Mega Mewtwo Y after using Giovanni & Mewtwo’s Sync Move.
Sync Pairs from the Kanto region get a strength bonus during this event, so we recommend training your Kanto Sync Pairs in preparation.
Two New Sygna Suit Sync Pairs Debut!
Starting September 29, 2021, new Kanto Sync Pairs wearing sygna suits who play a part in the Kanto chapter of the Main Story’s Villain Arc will debut in the Sync Pair Scout. The Trainers in these Sync Pairs are Sygna Suit Misty and Sygna Suit Erika. More new Sync Pairs in sygna suits will appear in the Villain Arc in the future, so be on the lookout for them.
Sygna Suit Misty & Vaporeon
Sygna Suit Misty & Vaporeon are a tech Sync Pair with some clever capabilities. Their Mist Move has a field effect that prevents stats from being lowered on the allied field of play, and their Haze Move returns the opponent’s raised stats to normal, so they could be a huge asset on your team when facing opponents that raise or lower stats. They also have a Passive Skill that charges the Move Gauge by four when using status moves like Mist and Haze, making them a Sync Pair that can battle while having plenty of Move Gauge to spare.
Sygna Suit Erika & Leafeon
Sygna Suit Erika & Leafeon are a Grass-type tech Sync Pair that can use Sunny Day. Using Sunny Day to make the Weather sunny triggers their Passive Skills. One of their Passive Skills increases the power of their Moves, another accelerates the Move Gauge, and another has a chance to reduce the sync move countdown after using a Move. Their Soak Up the Sun! Move raises their Attack by two stat ranks and their critical-hit rate by one stat rank, but if the Weather is sunny, it raises their Attack by an additional two stat ranks, raises their critical-hit rate by another stat rank, and applies the Gradual Healing effect to themselves. With this Sync Pair, you can control the Weather to make them more powerful and then unleash their Solar Blade attack Move on the opponent.
Fall Mini-Event
On October 6, 2021, a fall-themed mini-event will begin. In many countries, fall is seen as a season of harvesting, and it seems that even on Pasio, there are Pokémon that work up quite an appetite around this time of year. We hope you look forward to finding out which Sync Pairs will appear in this event.
You can get incredible rewards from this event, such as 5★ Kanto Scout Ticket ×30.
Daily Region Rotation Rewards Update
Starting October 7, 2021, the completion rewards for the Daily Region Rotation will be updated, and you’ll be able to get 5★-Guaranteed Scout Tickets for each region.
There is no difference in the amount of tickets you can get from each difficulty level. You can get one ticket by completing one battle, and if you collect 30 tickets, you’ll be able to use the scout for that region. To coincide with this update, we’ll begin adding ticket scouts for each region to the Shop.
Each scout guarantees you one 5★ Sync Pair from a lineup of Sync Pairs from the designated region, so try playing the battles multiple times to get Sync Pairs from each region.
Additionally, we plan to offer Tickets for each region as rewards for various events in the future.
New Seasonal Sync Pairs
On October 13, 2021, new seasonal Sync Pairs will debut.
Have a look at the silhouettes of the Pokémon for these Sync Pairs. Which Trainers do you think will team up with these Pokémon?
It also seems that the event these sync pairs appear in will have a spooky flavor to it. We’re planning on bringing back last year’s seasonal event as well, so we hope you look forward to it.
Uxie Arrives in the Legendary Arena!
Uxie will arrive in the Legendary Arena on October 21, 2021. Uxie is weak to Ghost-type attacks. In this battle, you’ll have to inflict status conditions like burning and poison and status changes like confusion and trapped based on the situation.
The new seasonal Sync Pairs are effective in this battle, so if you’re having a hard time defeating Uxie, try adding one of them to your team.
As always, strategy tips will be available for this battle. You’ll be able to find them in a notification for this event or from Battle Tips in the bottom-left corner of the Legendary Arena’s difficulty selection screen.
The Beginning of a New Story Event
Starting at the end of October, we’ll present a story event in a new way. This event will feature Sync Pairs wearing special outfits that are different from sygna suits or seasonal outfits. The outfits will be based on special event stories. We’ll share more detailed information about this event in our next message just before the event starts, so stay tuned.
What to Expect in the Next Message
Our next message is scheduled for late October. In it, we plan to share more detailed information about the new story event and discuss what’s coming up next in the Villain Arc.
We’re always working hard to deliver updates and improvements that make the world of Pokémon Masters EX as fun as possible.
We prioritize Trainers’ feedback throughout the development process, so don’t hesitate to let us know what you think.
Until next time, thank you for playing Pokémon Masters EX.
