In the anime Pocket Monsters, Satoshi is participating in the Masters Tournament of the Pokémon World Championships, a tournament to determine the greatest of Pokémon Trainers! To commemorate this, a campaign will be held to get Satoshi's Pokémon in Pokémon Sword and Shield.


From August 12th, 2022 to September 16th, 2022, the campaign will reveal a password each week during the broadcast of the TV anime Pocket Monsters that will allow players to receive Satoshi's Gangar, Satoshi's Kairyu, Satoshi's Lucario, Satoshi's Negigaknight, and Satoshi's Uonoragon in Pokémon Sword and Shield! At the end of PM2019 117, the three movies that won the voting for the 25th Anniversary Pokémon Film Festival were announced with a special teaser video. A longer version of the video was available to watch on the official Japanese Pokémon YouTube channel but it is region locked to Japan. Full details were revealed on the official Pocket Monsters movie website and Toho has a list of theaters that will be holding the film festival.

To celebrate the Pokémon Championships 2021-22 Singapore, a Shiny Clefairy based the Clefairy used by Jirawiwat Thitasiri in the Pokémon Asia Players Cup (PAPC) 2021 will be distributed. The official South Korea Pokémon website has announced that to promote the theatrical release of the 11th Pocket Monsters movie - Giratina and the Sky's Bouquet: Shaymin (극장판 포켓몬스터DP 기라티나와 하늘의 꽃다발 쉐이미) on June 1st, 2022, three separate presents will be distributed. This is the first time that movie 11 will be seen in theaters in South Korea as it originally aired on TV on July 3rd, 2009.


A serial code will be distributed to players of the Pokémon Brilliant Diamond, Shining Pearl or Pokémon LEGENDS Arceus games that they can use to redeem a Regigigas in the game of their choice from June 1st, 2022 until July 31st, 2022.

Get a Shiny Galarian Zapdos in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield

Participate in the 2022 International Challenge March in-game competition to receive this powerful Pokémon.

Registration is now underway for the 2022 International Challenge March in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield. This in-game competition lets you test your skills against Trainers from around the world using the Ranked Battles Series 12 regulations, which allow you to battle with two Legendary Pokémon that are not usually permitted in competitive matches. One of your Pokémon will also be allowed to Dynamax or Gigantamax during these battles.

Qualifying players who participate in at least three battles during the event will receive a Shiny Galarian Zapdos in their Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield game (please note that you will qualify to receive this Pokémon regardless of whether you win or lose your matches). Competitors can also earn Championship Points for participating in this event.

You can register from now until March 10, 2022, at 3:59 p.m. PST. To register for the competition, follow these steps:

1. Launch your Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield game.
2. Open the X menu.
3. Select VS.
4. Select Battle Stadium.
5. Select Online Competitions.
6. Select Search Official Competitions.

The competition takes place from March 10, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. PST to March 13, 2022, at 4:59 p.m. PDT, so don't forget to return during that time to play your matches. Follow these steps to receive your Shiny Galarian Zapdos after the competition concludes:

1. After the competition has ended, launch your Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield game.
2. Open the X menu.
3. Select Mystery Gift.
4. Select Get a Mystery Gift.
5. Select Get Battle Stadium Rewards.

The Pokémon Japan Championships 2022 (PJCS2022) will be held in June! The information about the online tournaments for the Game Division of PJCS2022 has been released. The PJCS2022 is an official tournament to determine the best Pokémon Battlers in Japan for the 2022 season. The top finishers will receive prizes, so be sure to check it out!
