The initial airing of this episode didn't contain a Live Caster segment. Instead of that, the "Best Wishes Highlight Guide of 2011" (２０１１年ベストウィッシュみどころガイド) was aired. This special segment showed previews Satoshi's Gym Battle against Aloe in Best Wishes 15 and Best Wishes 16, the hatching of Zuruggu's egg in Best Wishes 17, the introduction of Arti and Satoshi's attempt to save Kurumiru in Best Wishes 18 and the Rocket Gang VS Plasma Gang Special episodes, Best Wishes 23 and Best Wishes 24. It also presented the upcoming Diamond and Pearl TV Specials, Hikari Sets Off Anew! and The Greatest Crisis in Nibi Gym's History! which were going to be broadcast on February 3rd.

This Okido segment did not air in the initial airing of the episode but only in subsequent repeats on channels like Kids Station and on the DVDs.
