Summary
Ash and co. are walking towards the Battle Pyramid. Ash is very excited for his rematch with Brandon. They notice a Pokémon sitting on a tree. It is a Chatot, and it repeats whatever Ash and co. say. A girl comes running towards them. She asks Ash and co. to grab Chatot. Before they can, Chatot flies away. Ash and co. run after Chatot. Chatot lands on a stump, and Ash quickly picks it up. Then Ash gives Chatot back to the girl. The girl thanks Ash. She introduces herself as Aida. Ash and co. then introduce themselves to Aida. May looks up Chatot in her Pokédex. Chatot repeats the words that the Pokédex said. Max assumes that Chatot can repeat whatever the previous person says. Aida say that Chatot can even remember complete phrases, but sometimes it can be annoying. Aida tells Ash and co. that she wants to become a Pokémon Comedian since that has been her dream. Ash agrees with Aida because her dream is similar to his. Ash and co. want Aida to put on a show for them for practice. Aida agrees to this.

The first thing Aida does is introduce herself and Chatot. Then they perform a little rap about Pikachu. When Aida's performance is over, Ash and co. compliment her. Aida tells them that there is just one problem with Chatot. Whenever it is time to leave for the road, Chatot flies away. Then she says that Chatot says weird things like "Lunch Time."

Meanwhile, Team Rocket is spying on Ash and co. Meowth thinks that Chatot would be the perfect gift for the boss. James isn't too sure the boss will like it since Chatot only mimic what you say. Jessie is okay with Meowth's idea though. While walking, Aida invites Ash and co. over for lunch. Ash likes the idea and thinks that Chatot won't run away at lunch.

Suddenly, two people walk up to them and say that they have surprise bags for them. Max wonders what surprise bags are. Jessie and James each take out a surprise bag. An evil laugh comes out of each of them. Aida thinks that they would be useful in her act, so she buys both of them. Then the two people run away. The bags explode, causing smoke to fill the air. A mechanical arm then grabs Chatot. The two people are Jessie and James in disguise. They rush into their balloon and begin to float away with Chatot. Team Rocket is happy with Chatot. Ash won't let Team Rocket get away. He sends out Swellow. Swellow uses Aerial Ace on the bottom of the balloon. Chatot's cage is knocked out of the balloon, and Chatot flies out of the cage. Then Ash sends out Aipom. Aipom uses Swift on the balloon. The balloon explodes, and Team Rocket blasts off.

Chatot flies safely to the ground. Aida asks Chatot if it is alright, but Chatot only repeats the words that Aida is says. Then Chatot says some more weird stuff. Ash and co. arrive at Aida's house, and they are eating lunch outside. Suddenly, Chatot pops out of its Pokéball, and it begins to fly away again. Ash and co. chases after Chatot. While Ash and co. are chasing Chatot, Chatot says more random stuff. Soon later, Chatot gets away and there is no way of knowing where it went. Ash and co. decide to review all the weird things that Chatot has said. They come to a conclusion that Chatot may have gone to a hospital. Aida says that there is a hospital on top of the hill.

In the hospital is a little girl that is in bed. Chatot arrives through the window, and the girl is happy. The nurse comes in the room, and she is glad that Chatot is there too. It is time to take the girl's temperature. Ash and co. are outside the hospital listening into their conversation. The nurse is about to close the window when she sees Ash and co. Ash and co. are led to the front desk. The doctor explains to them that a few weeks ago, Chatot appeared. The children have had fun with Chatot ever since. Aida is glad that Chatot made some new friends. She walks up to the girl and calmly tells her that her and Chatot are going away to be comedians. This gets the girl upset, and she runs into her room. The nurse runs after her. The other kids think that being a comedian is a cool idea. The doctor thinks that Aida should perform for the children as practice. Ash and co. offer to participate in the performance too since they have Pokémon. Aida agrees to the idea.

The performance is outside, and it's all set up. Aida notices that the girl isn't there. Max is at the hospital trying to convince the girl to come outside with him. Brock is on stage and sings a weird song about girls. Ash is next, and he sends in Donphan and Pikachu. Donphan uses Defense Curl, and Pikachu gets on top of Donphan. Then Donphan begins to spin with Pikachu on it. The children love the performance so far. Up next is Max. He throws out Pokémon food to Munchlax. Max also lets the girl give Munchlax some food. The girl seems to like the performance a lot. Max is next. She has Squirtle and Eevee on stage with her. Eevee uses Shadow Ball, and Squirtle uses Ice Beam. Both attacks collide into each other forming a great explosion. Sparkles fall down from the sky. The last performer is Aida and Chatot. The first thing they do is introduce themselves on stage. Then they sing their Pokémon Rap. The children love Aida's performance.

Suddenly, bombs fall on the ground causing smoke to fill the air. Team Rocket floats down in their balloon, and they say their motto. Team Rocket lands on the ground, and they try to perform their own show for the children. Team Rocket does a poor job to impress the kids. Max thinks that Team Rocket's performance is embarrassing to watch. Then Meowth uses his mechanical arm device to grab Chatot again. Team Rocket throws off their costumes, and they begin to run away. Jessie sends out Dustox, and Ash sends out Sceptile. Dustox uses Tackle, but Sceptile dodges the attack. Then Dustox uses Poison Sting. Sceptile dodges the attack again, and hits Dustox with Quick Attack. The children are happy to witness a real Pokémon battle. James tries to have Cacnea attack, but Cacnea is worn out from their previous performance.

Sceptile uses Bullet Seed. Dustox dodges it, but the attack hits the mechanical arm which breaks it. Chatot is set free. Meowth is angry that Chatot was set free. Chatot begins to Peck on Meowth's head and mimics whatever insult Meowth says. Team Rocket hurries back into their balloon, and they set flight. Sceptile hits Dustox with a Leaf Blade attack. Dustox is hurled back into the balloon. The balloon explodes, and Team Rocket blasts off again.

The girl wishes Aida and Chatot the best of luck with her comedian performances. She even gives Aida a box of cookies so that Chatot can remember them. It is also time for Ash and co. to depart for the road again. They wave goodbye to Aida, and then they head their way towards the Battle Pyramid.

Eyecatch Pre-episode Message

In order to alert the viewers that the episode is about to start, a special eyecatch was used. The eyecatch is a countdown towards the beginning of the episode and contains scenes from previous AG openings, Advance Adventure and Pokémon Symphonic Medley. The split-screen scenes with Haruka and Takeshi were updated versions of the Advance Adventure ones that reflected the changes in the characters' Pokémon teams. More specifically, the scene that depicted Takeshi's Mizugorou and Takeshi's Hassboh was replaced with a scene from Takeshi's Numacraw's battle against Satoshi's Juptile that took place in AG149, while the scene that depicted Haruka's Achamo and Haruka's Agehunt was replaced with a scene from Haruka's Gonbe's battle against Shiromi's Rafflesia that took place in AG151. The countdown ends with Satoshi reciting his catchphrase, "Get Pokémon!" (ポケモンゲットだぜ!, Pokémon getto da ze! ).

Special First-Airing Segment Movie Preview

The first airing of this episode included another installment of the "Pokémon Ranger and the Prince of the Sea Manaphy Full-Force Scoop" segment, hosted by the Movie Campaign Boys, Robert. They started the segment by introducing themselves, and Akiyama mentioned that he was a Pokémon Ranger as Baba showed today's scenes.

The scene started with a close-up of an arm with a number symbol on its jacket sleeve, and Akiyama explained it was a Class Number, which shows the wearer's Ranger Class. Baba showed another shot where we could see the number belonged to Jackie, which meant he was a Rank 9 Ranger.

The highest Class Number is 10, and by comparison, Hinata, the Ranger who has appeared in the TV series a couple times, is only Rank 3, meaning Jackie is way beyond her level.

We're also shown how Jackie's Capture Styler is special as well, being green rather than the standard red.

In the movie, Jackie is on a mission to protect the Manaphy egg, and ensure it is safely returned to the temple.

Akiyama mentions that his class number is 3-2 (3ねん2くみ), and Yamamoto tells him that that's a school class number. Baba then ends the segment by mentioning that we can watch Jackie's exploits in theaters right now.
