Haruka and her Wakasyamo make and appearance quickly and then is followed by Shuu and Harley. Haruka's Eevee uses a Shadow Ball and the opening transitions to a picture of Haruka and her Pokémon standing in front of the Grand Festival cup.
All the main characters are seen running with Bangiras and Yogiras and it then transitions to the main characters trying to cross a gorge on a fallen tree.
The Frontier Brains make their appearances, with Lila and Jindai only appearing once they had been encountered in the main series.
Playing cards of some of the secondary characters are shown including Rocket Gang who are dressed up as jokers until a pile of cards fall on them.
The original variant shows Satoshi near the Battle Pyramid but it was replaced after the Ranger Deoxys special with Solana and Jack Walker.
