To help remind viewers of the jagged-eared Pichu promotion, an intro eyecatch was shown featuring Shoko-tan stating: The Jagged Spirit in Pokémon! (ポケモンでギザ元気！).

The announcer informed viewers that they already knew that with the claim tickets attached to pre-ordered tickets for the 12th Pocket Monsters movie, they could use the Nintendo DS games Pocket Monsters Diamond, Pearl or Platinum to receive a Pikachu-colored Pichu. He announced the moves for the Pikachu-colored Pichu and depending on the way players used the moves, they could gain the upper hand in their battles! Furthermore, if they took this Pikachu it to Pocket Monsters HeartGold or SoulSilver, they could meet the jagged-eared Pichu!

On July 15th and 16th, 2009, the movies "Dialga VS Palkia VS Darkrai" and "Giratina and the Sky Bouquet: Shaymin" aired two nights back to back. Viewers could look forward to the last chapter of the trilogy, the movie, "Arceus: Towards the Continuum of Conquest" a hundred times more!
