As it was pointed out in the previous two episodes, the name of the tournament in the Japanese original was based off of Don George's name while the name of the tournament in the English dub was based of the name of the Pokémon Battle Club.

Narrator: It's the exciting Nimbasa Pokémon Club Battle, and it's off and running at a fever pitch!
Narrator Japanese: At the battle tournament hosted by Don George of the Pokémon Battle Club, the "Don Battles" for short.
(ナレーター): ポケモンバトルクラブ　ドン・ジョージ主催バトルトーナメント大会。　縮めて　ドンバトル。

Georgia in the English dub doesn't call for the move Guillotine (ハサミギロチン) like Langley does in the Japanese original.

Georgia: Oh yeah! Let's finish this up!
Langley: Finish it! Guillotine!
（ラングレー）: 決まれ！！　はさみギロチン！

The Japanese original had Don George using the English words 'pinch' (ピンチ) and 'chance' (チャンス) twice in the same sentence. The English dub completely changed the original Japanese line but replaced it with a line that had a similar intended meaning but the whole idea of a 'chance opportunity' going two different ways was lost.

Don George: You think things will zig, but in the blink of an eye, they zag!
Don George Japanese: Yeah. A pinch might lead to a chance while a chance might lead to a pinch.
（ドン・ジョージ）: うむ　まさに　ピンチはチャンスチャンスはピンチだったりする。

Dent's sommelier dialog was changed in the English dub and removed the English descriptive words 'marriage' (マリアージュ), 'taste' (テイスト), 'fighter' (ファイター), that were used in the Japanese original. Cilan's dialog ends up missing the description of Satoshi's Tsutarja's Leaf Blade fighting against Langley's Komatana's blades.

Cilan: Truly a delicious battle between gallant warriors, sparring back and forth, making my spirit tremble! With a combination of flavors that ranged from subtle to the boldness of red-hot and spicy!
Dent: Really, the proud fighters created a sharp marriage between blade and blade. It was a hot, thrilling taste that made us viewers' souls shake.
（デント）: まさしく誇り高きファイターによる刃と刃の　切れ味鋭いマリアージュ！見ている僕たちの魂をも震わせる熱く胸躍るテイストだった！

Dent said nothing about Iris and Langley becoming 'friends' in the Japanese original like Cilan implies in the English dub. He just says that there is a possibility that they might like each other as rivals. Being a rival is a lot different than being a 'best friend'. Cilan doesn't even bring up the point of them being rivals in the English dub.

Cilan: The worst enemies can make the best friends! Don't give it a second thought.
Dent: Dislike is just another form of liking. In other words, a requirement for a good rivalry.
（デント）: 嫌い嫌いも　好きのうち。よきライバルの条件さ。

Jigoku mimi (地獄耳) is the Japanese term for "hell ears", people that have very good hearing but not just any kind of good hearing, it's for people who never fail to hear others bad-mouthing them or telling secrets that they don't want known.

Iris: Good hearing...
Iris Japanese Translation Literal: She has hell ears...
Iris Japanese Translation: She has keen ears...
(アイリス): 地獄耳…。

Don George and Takemitsu make a pun on the tournament's name, saying the Don Battles (ドンバトル) go steadily (dondon どんどん) on. The English dub just removed Takemitsu line here and made a longer line for Don George.

Dent specifically states he added extra chlorophyll (葉緑素) into the mix while Cilan says he added extra vegetables.

Cilan: And to give Grass-types a real energy boost after battling, I added lots of extra vegetables!
Dent: Moreover, to compensate for the energy a Grass type loses in battle I put stronger chlorophyll into the mix.
（デント）: 更に　バトルで失った草タイプのエネルギーを補えるよういつもより　濃い葉緑素をミックスしてあるのさ。

The English dub yet again adds more French dialog for Burgundy that wasn't part of Cabernet's dialog in the Japanese original. Cabernet says Dent cannot do proper 'tastings' (テイスティング) in the Japanese original but the dialog was changed to have a different meaning for 'taste' in the English dub as Burgundy meant Cilan's sense of taste and not his 'tasting' ability to determine compatibilities.

Burgundy: Dommage! Forced to eat food made by a connoisseur who has no taste at all has to be the saddest thing I've ever seen! My pauvre petit Snivy!
Burgundy French Translation: What a pity! Forced to eat food made by a connoisseur who has no taste at all has to be the saddest thing I've ever seen! My poor small Snivy.
Cabernet: Ah, it must be so painful to be forced to eat something made by a Sommelier who can barely do proper tastings... Poor Tsutarja!
（カベルネ）: あぁ…　ろくに　テイスティングもできない　ソムリエの作ったものを食べさせられるなんてさぞかし　つらいでしょうに…。かわいそうな　ツタージャ！

Langley specifically tells Iris not to record fake footage of her. Georgia calls it an amateur film instead but doesn't tell her to stop making the fake footage.

Cilan's introduction of Muggyo is very basic and less 'descriptive' compared to Dent's in the Japanese original.

Cilan: And now, presenting my powerful Stunfisk!
Dent: Now, savor the fertile aroma of the earth, Muggyo!
（デント）: 豊穣たる大地の香り　マッギョ！

Takemitsu in the Japanese original specifically states that Flamethrower could possibly do a lot of damage but Freddy in the English dub states its an 'intense shroud of fire' dropping the reference to the move.

Freddy: And Stunfisk is trapped in an intense shroud of fire!
Takemitsu: A powerful Flamethrower engulfs Muggyo!
（タケミツ）: 強烈な火炎放射がマッギョを包みました！

The English dub removes the move (技) reference that was in the Japanese original.

Georgia: The combination of Bug-types and Fire-types is something to consider...
Langley: Geez, the combination of Bug type and Fire type moves should be considered carefully.
（ラングレー）: まったく　虫タイプと炎タイプの技の組み合わせも考えものね。

Dent in the Japanese original stated that watching Merlarva would 'intoxicate everyone who sees it' but the English dub removed that reference and replaced it with 'a recipe anyone could love'. Obviously the drunk reference from the sommelier wasn't something they wanted to keep in the English dub.

Cilan: And judging from its ability to stand up to our Water-type attack, I can sense its formidable strength, tempered by its time working on a movie set, a recipe anyone could love!
Dent: Its strength, trained up through filming movies, becomes fragrant its persistent flavor, which even opposes Water type attacks boldly, intoxicates everyone who sees it.
（デント）: 映画の撮影で鍛え抜かれたたくましさが香り立ち水タイプの攻撃にも大胆に立ち上がってくる不屈の味わいが見るものを皆　酔わせてくれる。

Apparently, Ash in the English dub is intoxicated as he thinks Stunfisk can fly. Satoshi in the Japanese original said it jumped.

Ash: Stunfisk flies?
Satoshi: Ah, it jumped!
(サトシ): あっ　跳んだ！

Apparently Cilan is intoxicated as well as he thinks his Stunfisk can learn to fly also. Apparently he has Dumbo fantasies while training. Stunfisk cannot learn the move Fly. Dent says nothing about flying in the Japanese original and instead states that his Muggyo can handle being up in the air after jumping up high.

Cilan: Even Stunfisk, normally confined to the ground, can learn to fly with enough care and training!
Dent: A Muggyo that crawls over the ground can come to handle space as well, depending on the way it's trained!
（デント）: 地を這うマッギョも　鍛え方次第で空間を使いこなせるようになるんだ！

The English dub yet again adds more French dialog for Burgundy that wasn't part of Cabernet's dialog in the Japanese original. Cabernet also comments in English in the Japanese original that the Dent's battle was 'bad taste' (バッドテイスト). Cabernet also quotes Dent's earlier line in the Japanese original but Burgundy doesn't quote Cilan in the English dub.

Burgundy: Oui, although Cilan did lose. He's always talking about evaluating challengers, n'est pas?
Burgundy French Translation: Yes, although Cilan did lose. He's always talking about evaluating challengers, isn't that so?
Cabernet: Yay! He lost, what bad taste! "My usual habits compelled me to test the challenger", my foot!
（カベルネ）: や～い！　負けちゃって　バッドテイスト。何が　「いつものクセで　チャレンジャーを試す展開になっちゃったかな」よ。

Don George moments before Cilan's comment says that it 'Looks like a real manly battle!' to which Cilan comments that 'This could leave a bad taste in Iris's mouth!'. The English dub added the 'in Iris's mouth' part as Dent in the Japanese original said that the 'taste' of the battle was getting bitter (苦い).

Cilan: This could leave a bad taste in Iris's mouth!
Dent: This taste is getting painful...
（デント）: これは苦いテイストになってきた…。

The English dub skipped a line where Takemitsu states that Dageki was unfazed by Static.

Takemitsu: Dageki is unfazed by Static!
（タケミツ）: 静電気をものともしない　ダゲキ！
