Pokémon Johto is the third dub opening and it shares clips from the third Japanese OK! The dub opening debuted in the episode "Don't Touch That 'dile".
The opening begins with a Poké ball appearing, opening and displaying the "Pokémon The Johto Journeys" logo. The logo shines light around the edges before transitioning to Lugia and Ho-Oh flying in the sky and battling.
It then transitions to Ash running down a road with a forest and mountains in the background. As he's running, Pikachu joins him, then Misy and Togepi and then finally Brock. They all run together for a few seconds until the scene transitions to Ash holding a Poké ball in his hand up in the air.
A person dressed in a coat with a hood over their head is the next seen and the person turns around to reveal that it is Gary and his Eevee. Ash and his friends are shown once again running through a field as various Pokémon are seen including a group of Sentret running along side them. A Maril splashes water in front of a Slowpoke and its evolutions as it changes to Ash and his friends running through a forest.
Pikachu rides on Ash's Heracros and Togepi rides on a Ledyba with a HootHoot flying along with them in the next scene. The next major clip features Ash battling in a stadium battling and Misty and Brock watching on the sidelines.
Team Rocket get a brief cameo in the forst with Madame Muchmoney's Snubull gnawing on Meowth's tail until Jigglypuff slides by and puts them all to sleep. Ash's Johto starter Pokémon each appear in turn and are then seen with Ash and Pikachu on a rock. Pikachu then jumps into the air while Mew and Mewtwo get brief appearances until it finally transitions to everyone on top of a cliff and the logo appears below them.
